As these PDP people keep fighting and sharing blames back and forth, I can't help but just maintain a huge smile on my face grin cheesy

Truth is, Jonathan was a sorry case of a leader, that's why PDP lost. Jonathan was absolutely unsellable. Truth be told, if Jonathan had not by sheer divine encounter been made a president, I doubt he would even win a governorship election in his own state.

The silly idea of hate campains used by PDP was also an issue which did not do Jonathan any good. I totally agree with the Ojukwu analogy.

Why is this making the news?... common N180million?... After all Stella Oduah bought 2 BMWs with N250million unappropriated funds but Igbos and other GEJ supporters said there was absolutely nothing wrong in that; in fact they even said it was because she was Igbo that was why she was being persecuted for building airports in Enugu.

Today Princess Stella Oduah is now Senator Stella Oduah so I wonder why anybody should be making noise about common N180million. Gov Ngaliri probably has plans to get to the red chambers too.

I have given up on Nigerians. We deserve the leaders we get.

Politics › JTF Donates Borehole to Jonathan's Mother's Community by obailala(op):
Jonathan’s mother praises JTF for donating borehole to her community

Mrs Eunice Jonathan, the mother of President Goodluck Jonathn, has commended the Joint Task Force (JTF) donating a borehole to Akipelai community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa.

The borehole, which is sited at the premises of the Community Secondary School, Akipelai, was commissioned by President Jonathan’s mother, a native of the community.

She thanked the JTF Commander for his efforts towards eradicating illegalities in the Niger Delta region. The president’s mother also commended him for the professional approach in carrying out the mandate of the task force and urged the people of the community to give him the necessary to fight against oil theft. She urged youths of the community to protect the borehole against vandalism.

Earlier in his opening remarks, the JTF Commander, Maj.-Gen. Emmanuel Atewe, commended the Akipelai community for toeing the line of his Zero Tolerance Campaign against illegalities in the community. He applauded the community for not indulging in any act of oil theft which he described as economic sabotage against the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“The people of Akipelai are in total support of this fight and we must continue to identify with them by supporting them in the area we can. We are donating this as a mark of appreciation to this community for not involving in illegal oil bunkering and oil theft.”

He then urged the people of the region to continue to support the task force to carry out its mandate in the Niger Delta.

“Illegal oil bunkering and oil theft degrades the ecological system, thereby creating a health hazard to the inhabitants of the community. It is an act capable of causing health damages.”

He also promised to donate some sporting kits to the community.

In his welcome address, the Chairman Akipelai council of Chiefs, Chief Meni Etuere Owolo, thanked the JTF Commander for what he described as military, social and institutional responsibility to the community

The monarch pledged the community’s support in the fight against oil theft and illegal oil bunkering in the area.

Dignitaries at the the occasion included component commanders and principal staff officers of the JTF, traditional rulers, National Youth Service Corps members, women and youth leaders of the community.

Everything seems strange and amusing about this development cheesy. Firstly, what is the business of JTF with sinking boreholes??.. Probably they must have made so much money from these communities, they now feel obliged to fulfil some kind of corporate social responsibility by 'giving back to society.'

Secondly, does it mean there's a water problem in Jonathan's maternal community?

barcanista: you sound pathetic. Ojukwu(of cursed memory) ran away frm battle after Adekunle had taught him the lessons of his life. His Deputy, Useless Effiong surrendered and you are saying that it was planned? Hahahaah
You should be ashamed that Coward Ojukwu was ashamed of his own people, hence he couldn't invest in the East nor build properties there. Coward Ojukwu looted the treasury as Eastern Governor while you ppl suffer. He(Ojukokoro) contested for and lost ALL elections on his own turf to even a Yorubaman(Obj) and Fulaniman (Yaradua). He even lost WOEFULLY in his Senate bid to a Newbie in Nnewi. Even today, an Ijawman in the person of Goodluck Jonathan is considered the MESSIAH and GOD of the Igbos over any Iboman. That same Ijawman will always hold Adekunle in highest esteem.
Adekunle on the otherhand may not by RICH but his reputation as a greatman and heroics lives with him and after him. Today, we can't talk of the success of the Nigerian Army over Biafran secessionist without Adekunle name. His generation shall be proud.
See the turncoat /bigot who is now speaking in favour of the Igbos. Are you our mouthpiece? Did we at anytime complain to you? What should be the most important thing is performance and merit in governance.
Did Barcanista actually spew that rubbish you quoted above??... I just noticed he is invading the Nairaland archives deleting every single insulting post he made against Igbos when he was in the APC. eCollynzo:
So what is your opinion on quota system that always comes to play whe merit doesn't suit the northerners? You see who they are calling for it to be applied even in a scholarship scheme?
Sadly, the quota system is the second worst thing to happen to Nigeria after our multi-ethnicity. Unfortunately, it would be very difficult to wipe the quota system mess away from Nigeria as long as we remain in a democracy and as long as the north continues to have a larger population and a bigger landmass.

In my opinion, it would take only the grace of God and very clever, smart and persuasive leaders for the canker-worm of quota system to be removed under a democracy. It may also require a charismatic northern president to drive for such a 'wishful' change.

QuotaSystem:
There is nothing more unequal than the equal treatment of unequal people.

- Thomas Jefferson
A lot of people will not understand the strong meaning behind this twisted statement by Jefferson. But this explains it all; equality is not always justice.

The north 'allegedly' has a higher population and more landmass than any other region in Nigeria, that is why they have more LGAs, more states and more representatives. The smaller landmass and population of the SE is the reason why the SE has fewer states, fewer LGAs and fewer representatives.

Unfortunately, the population of south-easterners in Nigeria is not necessarily small, but most Igbos live outside the SE zone, thereby unconsciously adding to the population of other zones and reducing the population of the south east.

I suggest the next population census to be conducted in late December.

I feel very sad when I see and imagine the plight of these our innocent compatriots going through hell in the hands of the beasts..

I feel even more sad about the absolute lack of empathy of several Nigerians (especially from the South) who still think till date that every single story they hear from the north east is fake and contrived to make Jonathan look bad.

Up till now, a lot of people still do not believe it is possible for up to 200 girls to have been abducted by terrorists. Even with stories and pictures from the Nigerians army of 100, 200, 300, 400 women and children being rescued from captivity in the camps of the terrorists, I still have several friends who have blatantly chosen not to believe that any student was abducted, but that it was all a grand plan to make Jonathan look bad. May God forgive these people! and may God never allow us to experience such despair in the south.

Does a younger person automatically mean better leadership?

CHANGE from common criminals (of all ages) to men of integrity and impeccable character (drawn from all ages) is a positive change in my opinion. The age of our leaders has never been our problem in Nigeria, the problem has always been the integrity of our leaders. All those shouting "age age age!!!" are either confused or are just the same set of young charlatans crying out for being deprived of their opportunity to loot.

That being said, it's just a transition committee which would cease to be relevant after May 29th.

Not true. Its solely owned by Clark. OBJ established his Bells Uni while in office as president, so who would Jonathan be scared of if he really want to established his own uni?
1. Nigerians (Nigerians have become smarter, more concerned, more vigilant and are becoming less tolerant of idiotic leaders)
2. Buhari (For obvious reasons)
3. International community (With the massive allegations of corruption against his government, all eyes are focused on him)

Finally, where did Clarke get money from to start a university?
Education › Re: FG Approves Edwin Clark's Varsity by obailala(m): 8:16am On Apr 30, 2015
I suspect Edwin Clark University would just be Jonathan's covert university. I'm sure it is owned 100% by Jonathan.

The internet has been awash with the news of Buhari inaugurating a 19-member transition committee to ensure a smooth transition.Whilst still trying to digest this, I came across a report about Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the Delta State Governor-elect inaugurating a staggering 98-member transition committee.

Obailala i think there is a problem with people like you & how u organise your thought.

Those youtube videos you talked about were produced by who?

How are you sure that the people you saw are Nigerians soldiers?

Can you identify the face of any of those soldiers & their rank?

Boko Haram that cut throats of innocent Nigerians, kidnap & rae our women did not commit human right abuse...abi?

Dont worry Oby will soon become a member of economic team of Buhari. They have a job for her & i hope you become her PA.
Another not-too-smart reasoning by another one of them. So because Boko haram kills innocent people then Nigerian Army should kill innocent people too right?... Why don't you clap for yourself for such an impeccable logic!

Odi, Odioma, Benue, warri etc, all those places where the same Nigerian army violated human rights, where they not also in Nigeria?... How come you automatically think the same Nigerian soldiers suddenly became saints in the north east?... Probably because your God GEJ is the president then the NA are now saints right?

Bros there is nothing like prioritizing in this case. That would be sheer hypocrisy!!! So Buhari would receive looted funds from pre-2011 looters for funding his campaign and thereafter starts prosecuting post 2011 looters? Is that your view of anti-corruption war? are you for real dude
A bird in hand is worth more than 10 birds in the sky. It is only a f00l that will not consider securing the bird in his hands firstly before setting out to hunt the birds in the sky; it is only a f00l that will not consider prioritising in such a situation.

You obviously want the president elect to fail, hence your advice but I'm sorry, he is not a f00l. Call him an illiterate or whatever, if that's what rocks your canoe, you can please yourself. But the fact remains that he is not a f00l and he will not be a f00l because you want him to.

I am not a prophet so I cannot categorically confirm if it's God's will. But Jonathan had clearly overstepped his boundaries and overstayed his welcome. For anyone who is informed of the happenings in Nigeria and who has risen above the level where his/her judgement is beclouded by silly sentiments, it was crystal clear that a single extra day of Jonathan would have spelt doom for Nigeria... and then suddenly, we get a miraculous case of an incumbent president losing a presidential election in Africa. What else could be a better example of the HAND OF GOD?!
