simpleseyi:SOme people can be talkatives, but please, not everyone is a thief like you believe. |
poshbrave:The age of the one coming for them has never been a problem or an issue of legislation anywhere in the world. As long as the female is old enough for consent, the age of the man isn't your business. |
Okay haters... food has come! Come and tear the man apart, his children school abroad. ![]() |
The sleeping giant will soon rise again... I can smell it ![]() |
TDonald:But is there a reason why are you opposed to this man?.. what exactly has he done wrong to deserve your resentment? ![]() |
somegirl1:In most countries of the world, 18 is the official age of consent |
. |
Mogidi: okpurukata:...and who told you she married b4 17? |
Why not 18? |
How come it's only quack blogs that carry this news? |
No pictures? How come a large project like this has no pictures? We need pictures and testimonials to encourage other regions to tap into this technology. |
100% of the so called 'facts' we keep hearing about North Korea is what their enemies (US) tells us about them. I would be damned if I take these 'facts' too seriously. |
The mentality of a large number of Nigerians is depressingly horrible and retrogressive. Many people absolutely do not know when to criticise and when to support. How can any sane person be opposed to Ben Bruce's recent stance?... What is really wrong with Nigerians? It is like a hungry homeless man in despair suddenly being offered food and clothes by a passing stranger. Instead of feeling happy or encouraging the stranger, his first response is "Why help me now?" Some Nigerians are just sick... Tufiakwa!! ![]() |
TeeOw:The only way he can get the backing of other lawmakers on this one is if the other lawmakers see that he's getting 100% support from the people... Already here on Nairaland there are already several dissenting spirits to this true agent of change and then it makes me wonder, "what do Nigerians even want?" ![]() |
dancok:My brother please, this is not a time to question motives, this is not a time to question his intentions and this is not a time to to criticise a person who brings up a campaign that would favour the common Nigerian. Whatever his reasons are for speaking up now is inconsequential, we need to ignore the messanger TOTALLY and grab the message. Even Jesus Christ did not start his ministry until he got to 30. Maybe Ben has just waited until he got into government before starting to speak up (his new job). Whatever the case, needs 101% support from Nigerians in this new found campaign else the campaign will never suceed. I have always said the person who will rescue Nigerians will not come from the moon, or from heaven; but the saviours will come from amongst the same den of thieves that have held us back for decades. The moment we show the slightest sign of indifference or opposition or criticism to his cause, his other evil colleagues will capitalise on that to run him down and kill the campaign; this has happened to several others before him. But if he is supported 100% by the masses, you will be shocked that his other colleagues would want to emulate him (to win public praise) and that is the ONLY way this cause can succeed. I remember some years back when Dino Melaye was presenting documental evidence to journalists exposing some fraud by principal officials in the NASS. But instead of public support (from the common man), what we had was people here on Nairaland criticising Dino and asking him to go solve his marital issues and that's how the case died. Nigerians need to learn strategically when and where to criticise and when to support. |
dancok:Why must people be opposed to positive things? Do you just have a bad spirit within you or are you just allergic to progress? The campaign started by Bruce is something positive which all Nigerians must support 100% if it must be effective. Asking dissenting questions like this will only dampen the momentum. |
aare07:Anywhere you go, whatever you do, there will always be someone whose spirit will always reject positive things ![]() Thank God people like the one I quoted are now getting out numbered |
TDonald:His job as a senator is to Talk Until Something Happens |
mmsen:There are several reasons why a project may not be completed on time, one of them being that the client hasn't released complete funds. Going back to the start of this project, I remember it was mentioned that the cinema would be completed in the first phase. Hence the already completed and functioning cinema. Now we still await the completion of other phases but you are already so sure the contractor is responsible for the delay. I ask and I ask again, why are you so sure the funds for the entire project has been released?... We are not sure if the complete project funds has been released yet you are already so sure Ben Bruce is responsible for the delay. |
mmsen:OMG! what kind of question is this? ...So how would delaying the project also benefit Ben Bruce? Why are you hell bent on jumping into the conclusion that it is the contractor delaying the project when you have no facts to this effect?... WHy are you suddenly demonising Ben Murray Bruce all because he spoke out against corruption? This is even a PDP vs PDP matter so I can't even link your argument to politics. Or of course in the typical PDP ideology, anyone who speaks out against corruption is automatically an enemy that must be framed. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben is frustrated out of PDP for daring to think differently. I suppose it's also the contractor delaying the Ibaka Seaport right? |

The already functional cinema complex

@Alishachris, Ask Kayode to visit google before posting further tweets. I'm yet to hear Ben Bruce's response to this but irrespective of party affiliations, any day, any time, I would believe him over our regular polithiefcians because he's clearly a different breed . vedaxcool:I think it might be safe to say the project is in progress, albeit at a slow pace but it makes no sense to jump into conclusions that the contractor is responsible for the delays. The last 2 years have been spent politicking. How sure are we that the government has released complete funds to Silverbird? Some pics below... The Hotel
|
vedaxcool:Can you kindly wait for his response before you start your verbal attacks... We don't know if funds have been released by AKSG for the project so what's it with Nigerians and jumping into conclusions? Besides the last time I checked, the 16-storey hotel and the shopping/cinema complex were at advanced stages of completion. Will try and dig up some pics soon. |
APC, jumping over obstacles, canker-worms, impediments and setbacks since 2013... If you doubt their jumping ability, please remind me of what happened on March 28th, 2015? |
I'm sure he has a very good answer to this allegation. The man is definitely smarter than preaching anti-corruption in public when he has huge skeletons in his closet. I wouldn't be surprised if Akpabio hasn't released a kobo for the project. |
The EFCC should seize this opportunity to arrest and prosecute as many people as possible cos it seems GEJ is no longer interfering or protecting anyone. Now is the best time to deal with the sacred crooks while Ebele is distracted. |
..But why was Pam not concentrating? ![]() Anyway, the heart of man is desperately wicked. We sometimes blame those ones that fly at night meanwhile some 'normal' humans even do worse things.. ![]() |
nwafuluozoh:lol what sort of bad belle is this? |
okangaijele:..and why/how is he silly?... Oh I forgot some of the rogues who steal votes also have access to the internet; my bad. ![]() |
OrlandoOwoh:GEJ is certainly a failure of a leader, but that doesn't change the fact that he's got fans. There are plenty out there who just admire and idolise him irrespective of his massive flaws and embarrassing failures. We all need to respect the choices of these people; live and let live. Kudos to the GEJ trekkers! Even though I have a totally opposite impression about their hero (GEJ), I still admire their tenacity. |
themilanway:If APC was caught doing this, hell would have been let lose and this would have definitely made frontpage. ![]() |
