Depends on you. AMOLED screen beats IPS anyday but the phone is smaller than the RN8.

Adamna:
So the 720 resolution isn't an ish? I also checked online reviews on the 13mp selfie camera of the RN 8, I must confess I'm almost persuaded to go for RN 8. But I need more reviews
Both are Xiaomi products but RN8 has a larger screen. MiA3 has an on-screen fingerprint scanner whilst RN8 has its scanner at the back.

Also MiA3 has a better 32mp selfie camera.
PhonesRe: Xiaomi Mi A3 Vs Redmi Note 8 by obi58: 9:06pm On Dec 03, 2019
Mi A3 has an amoled screen so the colours are more vibrant than the RN 8

RN 8 has a larger screen than the Mi A3.

SE will remain stagnant forever until they embrace change
Foolish comment. Instead of the APC government to heavily invest in the infrastructural development of the SE to sway public opinion, you are foolishly canvassing for the SE to be held ransom until they vote the APC in. Is that what government should be about?

APC and PDP are all the same. Look at Edo state where the two contestants in the last election are cross- carpeting as a classical case in point. Obaseki and Ize-Iyamu are about to reignite their fight under new party banners. What a shame.

Pls tell me that Nigerian state that has been transformed since APC took over from the PDP. Poverty and unemployment is still rampant everywhere.

In as much as I believe PDP failed woefully in Bayelsa and that another party deserves a chance to transform the state, I sincerely doubt the credibility of this election with all the reports of violence, vote-buying and ballot box snatching.
PoliticsRe: Bayelsa: David Lyon Commends INEC For Peaceful Conduct Of Election by obi58: 5:56pm On Nov 16, 2019
Inasmuch as I am not a fan of the APC I don't think the PDP has done enough for the people of bayelsa. I can only hope that whoever wins the election does better than the outgoing administration.

Bayelsa has just eight local government areas and for an oil producing state there should not be the current widespread level of poverty that is prevalent within the state.

Aquariann:
Damn... Nigerians don't read. Shameful comments everywhere.

Some are asking why abandoned local roads for this road. Lol. So so shameful.

If any of you condemning this had bothered to read the article, you'll see where it is stated every country on the route is responsible for the stretch that passes through their own country. Hence, Nigeria is only (re)constructing or expanding already existing Nigerian roads only.

This include Makurdi-Lafia-Akwanga-Keffi route which links up with Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria routes which are all part of the trans Sahara road. The Lagos-Ibadan-Jebba route is also part of the road.

This is similar to the Nigeria-Cameroon international road which actually starts from Enugu-Abakiliki-Mbok-Ikom and terminates in Yaounde, Cameroon. While Nigeria had focused on the Enugu-Ikom stretch, Cameroon focused on theirs.
We are asking where is the evidence of 5 years work on the highlighted roads in question that we should believe that a miracle will happen to complete same roads in 3 years?

No matter how much you think I am a bad person, the fact is, we need cash to make the thing better. And the cash is not going to come from the sky.

We need $900bn over 15 years to get to where we need to go power wise. And it was the experts who said that.

You cannot demand for something that costs N100000 at just N10. (You would end up sounding riddiculous like the minsiter who said food can be gotten for N30).

Yes, we are poor. Very poor. But we cannot always have everything free of charge. If you were running a business, would you like it if I took your stuff for free??

Where do you think the bad government comes from?? Bad people.
Dear sir I refuse to accept your position.

Nigerians will pay for power if they enjoy what they are using. Till now, people are still being yoked with monumental estimated bills for very poor power supply in many areas and they are paying! In other areas, Discos are allocating their supply to metered areas where they are sure of generating their revenue but this is few and far between because in spite of the cries and pleas from Nigerians everywhere prepaid meters still remain a scarce commodity.

As for the issue of bypassing meters, there will always be deviants so the onus remains on the discos to devise effective monitoring strategies to block those leakages if they are serious.

How much has been spent by the government in transforming the power sector in the last 5 years? Why is there no appreciable improvement in the power experience.

What is our current power generating capacity compared to 2015? Why has there not been a significant impact? Do you have these figures?

Why did the Minister for Power assure the power issue would be resolved in 6 months what he has been unable to resolve in 5 years?

It is almost shocking that despite your appalling lack of manners, you do not know the basic difference between a private refinery (run by IOCs e.g Dangote) and a Gov't owned refinery (run by NOC's e.g Aramco of Saudi & NNPC of Nigeria). The benefits accruing from saved forex also flew over your head.

This discourse is clearly above your paygrade.

Fade.
Yen Yen yennnnn...

Story for the Gods...

If people like you were in Power even the railways would have been privatised long ago...

Instead of you as a concerned Nigerian to be asking why our 4 refineries are still not functional 5 years into this administration with all the public funds pumped into them. You are here masturbating on the project of a private individual whose previous forays into Cement and Flour did absolutely nothing to transform those sectors except exercise a stranglehold on Nigerians and maximise profits.

Every country no matter how capitalist it is, exhibits some level of protectionism in ensuring that the welfare of its citizens should be prioritised.
BusinessRe: Dangote Refinery Rules Out 2020, As Refinery Gets New Date by obi58: 1:25am On Nov 01, 2019
QuotaSystem:
How did you conclude on the currency to be used for payment?

Besides what price do you think his major competitors are selling their refined oil?

Don't forget that for him to survive and excel as a global player in the industry, he must remain competitive.

Modified:

Let us break this down:

Dangote will not sell to Nigeria in Dollars unlike if we were importing refined fuel. That is KEY. Why?

It is because Nigeria will benefit greatly from eliminating a huge daily demand for USD to import fuel. This fall in demand has a direct effect on the exchange rate which will fall as a result of a fall in demand for $. Additionally Dangote will be forced to repatriate some of his USD income from exports, which will also boost our foreign reserves. More USD in the reserves means more USD available to satisfy our daily forex bill and avoid price spikes because the CBN will be better positioned to intervene accordingly.

Now why can't Dangote just sell to us at a reduced price? It is also simple.

For Dangote to survive in the global oil industry, it means he must then be able to compete favorably with other international refineries. That would be impossible if he is subsidizing prices for specific countries, because the costs of input (crude) and processing (refining) are the same or similar to his other competitors across the world. He must therefore sell at global prices, Nigeria not excluded (do not forget he is exporting the excess refined fuel to other countries) so as to remain profitable to his investors and keep him from shutting down after a few months of operation.

Yes we are an oil producing nation, but we are not 'dashing' the crude to Dangote to process for us. He is buying it from us at global prices too, and adding value (refining) at a cost he must recover and make some profit on.

This is rather simplified but hopefully it puts things in clearer perspective.
Very very very foolish analysis.

Go to other oil producing nations like Saudi Arabia and confirm if refineries there procure crude oil at international pricing to refine and sell for domestic consumption.

If we follow your train of thought that we are not dashing out our crude then where is the advantage to the Nigerian people of a domestic refinery?

Why won't a monopoly develop?

Why then will our 4 refineries work even with the continued 'investment' into it?
