Christianity EtcRe: How You Can Discover Your Purpose On Earth by obiaguna(m): 9:27pm On Oct 06, 2015
It is worthy to note that a lot of us undermine or underestimate the magnitude of distractions that are stopping us from living a life of purpose. We should always seek to get a goal and work towards it. Each goal a month or a year and when we achieve that, we set new ones and begin to reap the rewards of living a purposeful life. Thanks for the write up, quite inspirational.

How I wish one can secure correct job from Nigeria
Well the chances of securing one from here is quite slim but hey its just a try. If it clicks fine and if it doesn't it's still okay. Not so keen anyways. Would have been better to go over there and look for a job.

Yes it is "possible" but note well HIGHLY SKILLED JOBS.
This is like medical doctor or engineer, not security or barbing! grin

YOU must do the research and apply to companies for jobs that you are qualified to do.
There are no magic ways to open doors or short cuts.
Lool i know that well. Would check later as that's almost like a full time job on its own. Thanks again.

To keep things simple.
There is no visa that will allow you to go to the UK and then look for work.
Visitor visa is for holiday, then return home.
Student visa is for study, then return home.
If you can find employment with a large company in a highly skilled job, then the company can sponsor a working visa.
Thanks for this information. Its possible to apply for jobs from Nigeria yh? There is no harm in trying lol

No it does non of that, it's opposite of all you listed there.

Steps and procedures are here already.
Juts Googled about tier 2 general visa which says one must have a sponsor(employer) before one can apply for the visa. If you say it doesn't permit one to reside and work legally, how then does one achieve that? Can you state the exact pages where this info can be found so I can read up or can you tell me yourself or anything else. Thanks.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by obiaguna(m): 9:20am On Oct 06, 2015
@justwise. Pls what does a general UK visa entail. Steps and procedures to acquire one. Does it permit one to work and reside legally in the UK subject to renewal? Thanks.

Hoping to buy my Toyota(whatever brand I can afford) car before or at the end of 2017. I just love Toyota cars. Maybe it's because I see a lot of them on the road but I love them.
Quite an educative article too. I learnt the meaning of BMW and the owners of some notable car brands. Well done op.

CareerRe: Please Help! My Boss Is Scared I Will Replace Her by obiaguna(m): 11:02am On Sep 04, 2015
You have come up with great ideas, good!
Your ideas brought forth great results, good!
You have a whole lot of ideas in you, fantastic!
Your boss doesn't want any more of your great ideas, good!
Then save your ideas and start your own company. If you have lots of ideas to create an online whatever it is platform you are involved with and can generate sales, then pick a team and start a small company.
Overtime you can then propel yourself into greater Heights.
My little contribution anyway.

Has anyone confirmed?

You are welcome.

By the way, if you're going to use the word "nigger", you should spell it as "nigga". I have an extreme aversion to both words but can at least tolerate the latter. Also, in some quarters in the US and likely Canada, both words (particularly the former) are considered to be extremely offensive (by black people as well, especially the well educated). Just saying grin
*Deep sigh*..
No vex abeg. Thanks.

Actually @michaelfinn's situation now makes sense. I went to the UOttawa site and apparently the minimum grade acceptable for a Nigeria BSc, depending on the graduate course of interest, is 2:2.

See here. Indeed surprising. I agree it is better to just email the UOttawa program coordinator of whichever graduate program one is interested in to find out if they would consider one's application or if it would automatically be declined.
Wagbayi ma nigger. You have just made my day.

I initially applied for a PGD Program at uO. The school got back to me and told me they weren't offering PGD in the academic cycle and I was given a list of Masters Programs to choose. I was confused so I called the number attached to the email (God bless that guy). He looked at my transcript and told me what program would work for me. I still took sometime to know decide if I wanted that program. We spoke back and fort for a fews days and I made up my mind. Well you know the rest of the story....
Lol bruv, I don't mind getting that guys number as well. Cos if u cld clinch a masters admission with a 2.58cgpa then who am I?

@adenikky07 You are very welcome. Do not hesitate to ask for help in proofreading your SOP.

@obiaguna No vex abeg. It's just that too many people come on here asking questions for which they could have used google to get the answer in 30 seconds. But for reals, information about tuition payment installments is one that you should email the school about.

@MichaelFinn Abeg give us more information na. Would you mind sharing your CGPA and undergraduate course of study? This information would give hope to current/future 2:2 CGPA applicants on this thread -- I know a close friend in this predicament. What was the list of masters courses that the UOttawa person suggested applying for?
Yep. Na smalls boss.

TheBae:
I'm not sure you got the right information, that can't be from the site (I stand to be corrected). This is what I just found. It also shows the payment plans. I hope it helps. Mind you, the tuition varies depending on the course you're going for which is why your question should be more detailed and directed at the school via email or telephone. Only they can give you accurate figures for your course. Please try to do more research next time. Questions like that are usually ignored on the forum. Cheers

Yeah I have seen that already. I should email them then. Thanks for looking out.

Google is your friend. If you have access to this forum, then you sure are able to go to MUN's website to answer this trivial question. Also, you should email the school to ask about payment installments... heck, the MUN website might even have the answer sef.

I entered this search phrase ("memorial university international student graduate tuition" ) into Google, and the first link answers your question. Please don't be lazy, no offense. Use the internet to your advantage.
Relax..

Hello, there's no way I wouldn't have gone to the site. Thing is this schools can put something there and actually mean another when its time to pay. So I wanted to hear from Nigerians that currently school there. Site says Msc for international students is $10000 but it didn't state if it was for one year or the two years.
I just needed to hear from guys there without having to email the school. U get?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by obiaguna(m): 9:27pm On Aug 03, 2015
Guys , sorry to disturb. Pls who has an estimate of the average fees for Memorial uni. Msc for 2years. Plus if given admission, are u required to pay in installments.
I would be a full member of this thread soon. God wiling.

Its safe to apply towards the end of this year. I would advise you apply to just one school since you are going to a college to save application cost.
Ok thanks.

Op..Good choice you have made. Just focus on yourself and do your own thing. Trust me, a lotta girls don't know what they want and I mean it, plus the guys that have no iota of self respect aren't making things any better. Girls just like having lots of guys around them to boost whatever is left of their dying/dead esteem and good thing self respecting dudes like you won't be there to nurture it anymore.

Ps: Why don't Nigerian girls delete guys number. A lot of these girls I have deleted still have my number and try to say hi occasionally. Like wtf!!
