I feel there is no template to follow, each person has unique circumstances that could act as proof of ties to your home country and while your proof of employment could serve as one, there are many others such as your plan to return to the family that will be left behind e.g. spouse, children etc., Study leave approval from your employers stating that the job will be available for you upon your return, details of investments in pension, real estate etc. The list could be endless. In my opinion, each school has a refund policy you will need to check. Refunds are often on the basis of visa rejections. you will need to consult with your schools refund policy though and reach out to Giles kilcoyne. Also, the medical system here is better than what obtains in Nigeria and not expensive if you have a Personal Public Service number. and medical insurance.

If you venture out of dublin to the outskirts, you will spend more on transportation. I work in Dublin and live on the outskirts of dublin. Daily transportation cost for me is about €15 which comes to about €300 monthly

Both career paths seem to be closely knit as you will get exposure to SQL and Python programming. Any of it is good but you could stay with data analyst. If you dont have a background in programming, try to get some knowledge from now. It will come in handy while at DBS. Note that you can also change course when you resume at DBS

Has anyone studying for more than 1 year in Ireland (e.g. PhD) used VHI PublicPlus Care health insurance which costs about €490 for each person per year? From what I have read online, it meets the requirements for Non EU students visa application. We need to purchase for my family of 3 and it is way cheaper than the study and protect equivalent which costs about €690 for each person per year.

I am not new to this thread but i have been away from it for sometime. I am resident in Ireland and considering bringing my wife to Ireland on a study visa for her masters. I am a bit clueless on how to navigate the aspect of her intent to return to nigeria after her study (in her SOP) considering i am already resident here.

Hi guys, how do you guys travel with medication? I've been on medication for H. Pylori bacteria (caused ulcer) for two months now and have a month left to go. Just looking at the medicine makes me cringe cuz they might raise eyebrows. Do you have to declare these drugs

Ulcer drugs
Amoxicillin 500mg for 2 weeks(twice daily)
Clarithromycin 500.g for 2 weeks(twice daily)
Omeprazole 40mg for 1 month(once daily)

Then I have azithromycin for sore throat and felvin with buscopan for menstrual cramps(I would faint without them)

I also have Panadol extra cuz I suffer from migraines. I have other supplements that I use for my migraines too: Magnesium 500mg for 90 days(but I've used from it), gingko biloba 90 days

I have cranberry extract supplement, my reload women multivitamin 30 days, vitamin D3,(90 days) Vitamin C 500mg for 1 month+, vitamin C 1000mg+15mg zinc effervescent tablets(like 8 tabs left).

I have day and night nurse for flu, and ibuprofen.

Seems like a lot lol

I don't have an original doctors note from the hospital I was diagnosed (for the bacteria or migraine) but I have the Rx note from the pharmacist I bought the antibiotics from (after I ran out of the ones provided by the hospital) including azithromycin, felvin and buscopan.

Oh and I have my allergy meds too (don't wanna be caught unawares lol)

What do you guys think?

I feel you should get your notes first to ascertain the real reason for your refusal. Also, get copies of all the documents submitted by the agent including the SOP before you reapply

Please do not try this. Someone recently received a refusal on the grounds of misrepresentation of facts for not disclosing he had a Masters degree. The Visa Officers do their due diligence on each application.

This is rather sad yet painful. You will need to hire the services of an immigration lawyer resident in Canada and as you should know, lawyers abroad charge per hour. I would advise you do not correspond with cic yourself on this case. Check humansqaud.ca and chat them up to see if they can refer you to a lawyer over there.

Also check Ogayemi law firm, they are an immigration lawyer but rather expensive. Whatever your decision, you will have to bring closure to this case cos it will always arise whenever you have to apply to any other country.

China but couldn’t pay for the visa application fee because I don’t have a Nigerian card with me, I had to give money to an agent in Nigeria to pay for the visa application fee. Then later I got an email saying there was a charge back on the fee and the agent quickly gave me another receipt and said sorry without explaining what happened. Then 3 weeks later I got a Refusal email with 5 year ban. I was worried and I requested for my notes. And it turned out that this same person canceled the payment again. Hence the denial and ban.

If it is a PhD, it is a good investment however try searching for funding as there are loads of them available to ease the financial burden.
