I weep for Nigeria. Civil servants are dying in EKITI and their Governor has billions in his account and saying no money. Yet they are witch hunting him abi. Am sorry for you all supporting impunity. I think you are one of those poor and confused youth,,he has not been tried or convicted,he should not be detained illegally that's the position of the court and my position as well. Why would efcc resort to detaining an accused with a remand orders instead of diligent prosecution since they have all these evidence? and if at all they are fighting corruption and not silencing the opposition?. One thing you must know about this government and APC is that they control the media and they are the master of propaganda. They know that most Nigerians are gullible and will believe anything that is why they prefer trying one in a media court instead. Those things they feed you with as evidence in the media neither exist and cannot be presented in a court that's why they are always looking for a remand orders.Civil servants are not own salaries in Osun,Benue, etc?.APC are demonizing PDP,how about those former PDP members that are now in APC that constitutes about 80% of APC?,are they now saints?, Amaechi was in PDP for about 15 years was indicted by commission of inquiry in Rivers and was made a minister. U HemmanuelRichy: I will try to make this very snappy.
I have a childhood friend who is so very much in love with his girlfriend of 4-5years. (Whom I have never met) Fortunately, the girl in question got admission to the school I currently am and she was offered the course I am also studying.
My friend called me and told that his Bae was given admission to study the same course I am studying, and he begged me to keep tabs on her. I assured him that I would try. (me wey no get time)
He sent me her pictures and told me to look for her at her where she receive lectures and get to know her better. I assured him that would i will of which I never did due to the distance of her lecture hall. I was optimistic that I would eventually see her one of these days.
Two weeks ago, my friend called me, after exchanging pleasantries he gave the phone to his Bae. I greeted her and congratulated her on getting admission to study the best course on campus. She begged me for past exam questions and handouts, I promised to give her the ones I would lay my hands on. I also advised her not be carried away with guys on campus, she thanked me and promised not to disappoint my friend.
I got to meet another girlfriend of my friend Bola (not her real name) who happened to be the same class she was. I asked her if she knows Joy (my friend's girl friend..not her real name too) I showed her the pictures my friend sent to me on my phone for easy identification. She immediately told me that she was their course rep and the most popular figure in her class.
Fast forward that same night in my course mate birthday party, Bola came to where i sat and told me that Joy was dancing with a guy in the middle of the hall. (It was quite dark and I couldn't really notice the faces of the people dancing)
I stood up and wanted of meet her for the first time, I got a shocker when the guy she was dancing with (I know the guy very well, he is my senior and I was one of his main man in his electioneering campaign team) sighted me and hugged me, he introduced her to me as his girlfriend and shook hands with her I was dumfounded and returned to my seat.
A girl I spoke with two weeks ago.. having a boyfriend already. I was perplexed. I wanted to confirm if she was truly the person, she went outside and I followed her. I stopped her and she responded with a smile. I asked her if they guy was truly her boyfriend, she said yes and confirmed my my fears. I asked her how long they were dating , she said she met him when she was doing her registeration. She asked why I was asking, I told her that I was feeling for my friend. She asked what i meant by that. I brought out my phone and showed her my friend picture. she started begging me and I pleaded that I should not tell my friend nothing.
I avoided her like a plague till the party ended.
This incident happened on Sunday night and I have been thinking on what to do.

The annoying part is that they will detain the accused, torture him and force the person to make statements that will indict him. Don't let anybody deceive you with fighting corruption or that Nigeria is broke, they are silencing the opposition and using propaganda that PDP mismanaged our resources and their is no money. So that if at the end of the day, after they have squandered our money,we wouldn't ask questions or blame them because they have made us believe that there is no money. That's the essence of "Dasuki gate".Nigeria is not and can never be broke. |

This Judge's judgement, has the smell of suspicion dripping all over it.
So the Court was shown valid papers by the EFCC from other Courts giving them the right to detain this very important criminal?interesting.
Where is the National Judicial Council when you need them?your Judge's are acting funny. It's a pity that we still have your type in this 21 century, you're not accusing him of having committed a crime but you have passed a judgement already?,why would efcc rushed to obtain remand order since they have enough evidence to prosecute the accused?, it's only in this country under the watch of Buhari that an accused is been detained before efcc start looking for evidence. If efcc have evidence, they should have charged him to court within the constitutional stipulated time.If not silencing the opposition, why would they(efcc) arrest the"innocent" man in the first place since they don't have evidence and if they have evidence why would they detain him before trial (infringement upon his fundamental human right), why would they always looking for remand order?. And you see nothing wrong in this?.Shame on you. |

Politics › Re: Have You Received Your National Identity Card? by Obynolee(f): 9:11pm On Jul 04, 2016 |
dayolove: CrazyG, it is not possible to successfully register twice into the National Identity Database as the system will definitely detect attempt to register twice which is also a criminal offence and is punishable by the Act establishing the NIMC. It is possible you did not complete the registration the first time you did and was not issued a NIN (National Identification Number) which is a randomly generated number issued to a particular individual and is not replicated. Once you have that number, your registration is complete and a print out handed over to you which contains your photo ID and the NIN. Another print out is given to you which shows you enrolled successfully but not issued the NIN - that is called the transaction slip while the other one is called the NIN slip. It is not something to boast about that you are yet to get your card a year plus after you registered but the Commission just like other government agency is facing challenges with capacity to produce these cards on a commercial quantity hence the delay being experienced. However, efforts are being made to attract funding to increase capacity so it doesnt take more than 3-6months to get the card after registration like it is done in some countries in West Africa.
Again, the emphasis has been on the number not necessarily the card. The card is only a token issued at after successfully being captured into the National Database which should act as the National Repository of databases for the nation. That number alone singles you out and you can truly be identified and verified without the card in the long run.
In the meanwhile, please send me a mail on lovedayo@yahoo.com and we can discuss further on this please. Will the email aid in getting the card quickly? |

The decay in the system is of lagendary status and I doubt if this present govt will be able to fix these problems because of the daunting tasks involve and also the skewed psychology of the polity towards Govt jobs. However my advice to you OP is that endeavour to locate the nearest office to you of the national identity management commission, walk in there get and do another registeration and your card should ready for pickup after few weeks time.....at least that's what I did to get mine. Politics › Re: Abia Governorship Tussle: Both Ikpeazu And Ogah May Lose Out To Barr. FN Nwosu by Obynolee(f): 10:05pm On Jul 02, 2016 |
TonyeBarcanista: We are all aware that Justice Okon Abang of Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday granted the relief of Mr Uche Ogah to be declared as the legitimate candidate of PDP in Abia state 2015 gubernatorial election and Governor of Abia state having found incumbent Governor Okezie Ikpeazu guilty of tax clearance forgery, and thereby ineligible to stand for the said election.
In accordance with the judgement, the Independent National Electoral Commission nullified the Certificate of Return it had earlier granted to Okezie Ikpeazu and issued Mr Ogah a fresh certificate of return. Though Ikpeazu has appealed the judgement, there is somewhat a quagmire in the state.
While both men are laying claim to the coveted seat in Abia state, I see a possibility of Barrister Friday Nwosu emerging the new Governor at the end of the drama.
HOW FN NWOSU MAY EMERGE GOVERNOR During the December 2014 PDP Primary election, Okezie Ikpeazu(the now incumbent) came first with 487; Uche Ogah scored 103 votes coming second; former labour minister Emeka Wogu had 33 votes coming third; Barr FN Nwosu scored 5 votes along with Acho Nwakanma.
While Acho Nwakama defected to All Progressive Congress after the PDP primary to emerge the party's Deputy Governorship Candidate, Mr Emeka Wogu left PDP for APC after the General election, leaving Barr Nwosu as the legally second runner-up in the primary.
Should the Appeal and Supreme courts uphold the verdict of the High Court that sacked Okezie Ikpeazu, it means Ogah is the next in line being the first runner up in the December 2014 Primary.
Considering that Mr Ogah is also facing criminal charge before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for alleged fraud, and if convicted he will himself be disqualified and face jail term.
Should the above happen, it means that the lawful second runner-up Barr Friday Nwosu shall be declared the legitimate PDP candidate in the Abia 2015 Governorship election, and the Governor of Abia state.
Like I told members of my Palmchat social circle, May Justice prevail in Abia state, God's own state.
May God Bless Us All and Bless Nigeria Ogah will still go to court to answer criminal charges after becoming a governor , what happens to his immunity as a governor??. |
