PhonesRe: Fraudsters Swap Lady's Airtel Sim And Steal Her N400,000 by Obynolee(f): 7:25pm On Feb 06, 2016
FlirtyKaren:
My name is Adetoke Oluwo. I feel it is necessary I share my story so as to shed light to the way fraudsters dupe unsuspecting Nigerians and also to expose the shady AIRTEL STAFF who aided them.

My purse with other documents and ID cards were stolen last year April and as usual, I got an affidavit for it.
This year January, I got a call from Airtel Ibadan concerning a sim swap I wanted to do in Ibadan (I work and live in Lagos). I immediately informed them that it's fraud when
they told me the person brought one of the id cards that was stolen.
I immediately went to AIRTEL IKEJA CITY MALL to report and told them to flag and fortify security on my sim as my Airtel line is connected to all my Bank accounts. I even asked how it was possible for anybody to walk in and almost swapped my sim without any form of security . The staff said they will do something about it.
On Thursday night, 4th of February, I noticed my network was down and I waited till Friday to go report and they told me to wait for hours. THEY DID NOT TELL ME MY SIM HAD BEEN SUCCESSFULLY SWAPPED BY FRAUDSTERS, The Staff tried to hide it and told me to fill a form of sim replacement. I did not know at that point that my money was being moved as I sat there!!!
I left the Office and discovered on my other phone that 400 THOUSAND NAIRA HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED FROM MY GTB ACCOUNT THROUGH MOBILE MONEY WITH THAT NUMBER ALL THE WHILE MY SIM WAS DOWN FROM THURSDAY NIGHT TO FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
My email address must have been seen in one of the documents stolen, and the number is where Yahoo would send my recovery password to. All it took them was to SWAP MY SIM and click on forget password to access my email that had my Bank details saved.
It was when I went back to AIRTEL IKEJA CITY MALL to shout that the Staff told me my Sim had been Swapped. Before they lied that it was damaged and told me to fill a form for REPLACEMENT! !!

I requested for the Staff who swapped my sim for this FRAUDSTERS and they refused to say anything. They even harassed me and sent me out of their store for causing nuisance.

This money is meant to be part of the Course I saved a Year for to go study in London, I was maltreated and duped and an AIRTEL STAFF AIDED THE FRAUDSTERS. EVEN AFTER I COMPLAINED SINCE JANUARY FOR MY SIM TO BE FORTIFIED!!

BECAUSE HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE WHO ISN'T ME TO SUCCESSFULLY SWAP MY LINE WHEN THEY HAD MY PICTURE RIGHT INFRONT OF THEM!!!

PLEASE SHARE SO I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK, SO JUSTICE CAN BE DONE, SO OTHER NIGERIANS TOO CAN LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND PROTECT THEMSELVES. PLEASE SHARE.

Tompolo and his gang were granted amnesty as s special condition for immunity from prosecution by Pres. Umar'ru Yar'Adua....

They accepted it and were rewarded with contracts and financial support...

Militancy is not part of our constitution, therefore no group or individuals has any right to damage Govt. Assets because they have been declared wanted...

Tompolo has uncountable murders to his name, and if he returns back to the Creeks, he should be ready to face the wrath of the federal government...

His immunity and that of any Ex-militant who dares to carry arms against the state Shall be voided...
You can only speak grammar on nairaland,i bet you cannot be heard. With crude oil less than $30,and our foreign reserve $28 billion the worst this government can think is to start any form of war(no matter how little) in the Niger Delta.

BusinessRe: Is Importing From China Better Than Buying From Lagos? by Obynolee(f): 11:31am On Jan 04, 2016
MRBrownJ:
nonsense, do you have memory loss or something?! the OP has a mini importation business and problems with transportation, while getting the goods at much higher price than they are in Lagos, because he doesnt buy in bulk. ..and you are here telling us all that he doesnt need a partner?! then how can he buy the goods cheaper OR lower the cost of shipping (if he doesnt partner with anyone)?

you are making very little sense and your way of thinking is the reason why so many of these mini importers are failing miserably. mini importers should work together and lower costs in all spectrum, instead of working against one another and having the Chinese manufacturers laughing all the way to the bank.
I am not referring to the Op but the Lagos guy you think that it is your birthday right for him to divulge the secret of his business. I think you're the one that have memory loss here.I am a busy guy and wouldn't gloryfy you with a quote again.

MRBrownJ:
so you actually do think that there is a "secret" formula to success?!?!?!?!?! BWAAAAAAAAH, very funny!
telling someone where they can get bulk items in China is NOT a secret, far from it, as this info is all over the internet for all to see.

sadly, in any businesses (whether big or small) you have to use your brain at all times and work towards improving the business. so, if having a partner can help your business with A) sharing the cost of shipping and B) lower the cost of that said bulk product, then why shouldnt you tell people where you get your products (and possibly have a partnership with them)?

there is nothing "natural" (or rewarding) about not wanting to tell someone where they can get a product in bulk, while YOU dont sell in bulk. it makes absolutely NO sense!
You are wrong, what if you don't need partner?,you need to understand that there are great difference between theory and practical.

such state of mind is the reason why they will remain at the bottom, while if they'd joined forces, they could buy more and get prices down
No,everybody does it,it is just like asking dangote to tell you the secret of his business or asking coca cola the same question, they won't tell you all. That is the truth.Even you will do exactly, it is natural.

This is not completely true! Yes, sea shipment is always cheaper, but those who use air cargo are concerned about SPEED OF DELIVERY! In some business like textile that I'm into; Before your stocks arrive by ship, people who used air would have sold at their own comfortable price before you come and put sand sand in their garri. And in business once you are the first in an area to get a NEW products before others, you will be the first to dictate the price!
We are all saying the same thing, it is like that in textile because it is fashion, and I believe you're talking about new fashion, if the fashion has been in the market for some time, can you compit with ship guys?.When new item enters market it will be by air but as time progresses it will be by sea.We don't know what the op bought.

Hello everyone please I need your advice and encouragement on this mini importation business because i am really facing problems on this importation biz.

What I found out now is that the things I import are always cheaper at lagos

Because my first order was 30 watches and after buying them I found out that they are even cheaper in lagos than importing them because I want to sell them on wholesale price.

My next order was tummy slimming waist trainer for women. When I received the samples I said let me go and look for buyers that will buy it on wholesale before importing them
When I got there I found out that my price is higher than lagos price.
Even the price I bought it is higher than lagos price not to talk of adding profit.

please how can one really make money from this mini importation biz?
I am buying from 1688
Please help me with a solution to this problem or is there anything I am thinking wrong?

The goods are always cheap in china but when you calculate the total cost price of the goods and shipping fee, you will found out that is very expensive when compared to the price of lagos.

Then you will start saying that buying from lagos is even cheaper than buying from china. So now, what is the big deal on importing from china or uk/us when we can even get it cheaper in lagoshuh?

Info marketers will always show you the prices of the goods in china but they will not include the shipping fee.
Sometimes the shipping fee can even multiply the cost of the goods * 4 and above.

Please your contributions are highly welcomed.
Most Lagos guys buy in bulk and China market is quantity driven, that one aside, they also use sea shipment which is cheaper. I know of a product that the air cargo is 43 but sea shipment is 5,you see,if you use air cargo you can't compit with someone who use sea because the sea guy will sell at your cost price and still make profit. My advise is that you do your homework well before going into any business, thank God you have not imported before discovering this. You can still correct your mistakes.

I started the mtn 2,500 day and night plan for my blackberry from February this year till December making it 27,500. Around October I got an iPhone and I did the same subscription for three months which amounts up to 7,500.

Everything totals up to #35,000 that I've used for subscription in the year 2015. This excludes the miscalleneous weekly subscriptions I made when there was no money to subscribe. cheesy

If you want to withdraw your Payoneer funds from a Naija Atm, the exchange rate is between #192 - #198 per dollar. I will advise you look for someone who needs the fund & who you can sell it to at a higher rate by transferring to his/her Payoneer account.
I would have bought it from you but I'm yet to activate my payoneer card by loading the card from any of their partner companies.
Please can you hint me on how to get this payoneer card ?
