Leviosamwonyi:Who was Obaseki before Oshiomhole introduced him to Edo politics and bulldozed him into being Edo governor? Why did Obaseki fight to ensure Pius Odubu, a Mini man was not sworn in and replaced as chairman of NDDC? Why did Obaseki fight against an Edo man Samson Osagie and ensure he lost his federal appointment? Why did Obaseki refuse to swear in 24 lawmakers, use thugs to beat them and send them out of Edo State? Till date those elected lawmakers were never sworn in. Where else in d world has that ever happened? Why did Obaseki make a humiliating declaration that Oshiomhole even as a private citizen or national chairman of APC must seek his permission before he visits Edo State? Why did Obaseki use a ward chairman to remove Oshiomhole, an illustrious Edo son, his benefactor as national chairman of APC? Why did Obaseki challenge the reverted Oba of Benin regarding the stolen aretefats to be returned by western powers and it took the intervention of the FG to save d Oba from the evil designs of Obaseki? Why did Obaseki destroy houses of innocent Bini people many of whom were allotted by same govt? Why did Obaseki after being rehabilitated by legacy PDP when he was kicked out by APC turn around to drive them away, seize tickets from them and won't even agree to any sharing formular with them? Why did Obaseki go to supreme court to side with the FG to ensure our naira notes expires and we remain in d bondage of d naira scarcity we are suffering to this day? If Obaseki is your god, he is not ours. He is only about to be served what he has long served others. His judgement time has come |
oshorstan:I dont know why most Binis suddenly became so defensive and in denial of the achievements of Oshiomhole. Perhaps it's the shame that Bini governors of Edo State be it Lucky Igbins or Obaseki the traitor have performed disastrously compared to Oshiomhole and Osunbor who had a brief stint. The Binis know that Igbins and Obaseki are disasters, why they choose to own them and be tribalistic is what I don't understand. My Esan people hate Oshiomhole cos he fell our Iroko, Tony Anenih so I understand that grief, what I don't get is d beef of the Binis whose late Oba and current Oba love Oshiomhole so much |
Skyview01:Are u kidding me? Visit his Facebook page, the man has been very active, happy and posting images of Asiwaju's victory. Most of us were receiving elections updates from him at d critical time, the man is having d cruise of his life. He has been receiving so many phone calls since Asiwaju was declared and he had to remind them that it's not him that won election. |
naptu2:So proud of u Seyi, u stuck out your neck for Asiwaju and refused to be bullied. Unfortunately many celebrities who wanted to stand with Asiwaju did not have the spine, the went underground out of gear of the Obidient-Hamas mob. And that was d tragedy of this election, how people out of gear of the Obidient bullies were cowed into silence. But thank God they lost, and Asiwaju won |
bobbyblaze4life:Irritating write up. Was Edo not far better during the Oshiomhole years? What new infrastructure has happened in Benin since 2016? Ring Road is now so dirty, looks like Ramat Park. Obaseki has fought everyone, a man who wickedly refused to inaugurate 14 members of house of Assembly and rules with just 9 as rubber stamp? He fought APC, fought legacy PDP that gave him home, even fought the Omonoba over returned artefacts. His time is up, there won't be any PDP member in the new House of Assembly, Asiwaju is not the docile Buhari, for his crimes especially d undemocratic and treasonable blockage of the right of representation of the 14 members, he and Phillip shall be impeached in June this year. Not even negotiable, Edo can't tolerate such an evil minded fellow as governor |
Ahuitzotl:There is no FCT lacuna. The FCT does not have a veto over other states, the wordings in d constitution is 25% in 2/3 of the 36 states and FCT not 25% in 2/3 of the 36 states and 25% in the FCT. Moreover what happens if in a supposed run off if the person with majority votes still gets less than 25% in the FCT? So no point, no lacuna, the candidate was properly returned |
JAMO84:Many of these children on nairaland know nothing about Nigeria history pre 2015. To them everything started when Buhari defeated GEJ. To try explaining history to them is virtually doing the impossible |
onuman:But Atiku fought GEJ twice, first at d primaries in 2011 where he called him all sort of names and in 2015 when he led nPDP to walk out on GEJ right at d convention floor in Eagles Square and went ahead to be campaigning against him. Who is d bigger traitor against Wike's mentor? It's obviously Atiku, d perennial contestant |
pleasureosondu:Hahahaha wetin person no go see for these Obi dreamers hand? See a few pallies coming home for their uncle's burial, they are claiming it's to vote Obi. Even with 3m of u, u won't still push him to second place. Chai |
Urchinpainer:For u to be allowed access to the designated area, you have to be registered as an agent and carry the ID on your neck. No provision for volunteers who could be touts |
Brendaniel:In a few weeks from today, many of u especially from South East, Edos and Esans who have carried Obi matter on their skull and has been praising Emiefele to high heavens would abandon and deny him when the incoming President and DSS would be preparing the fire to roast him like ram berbecue. Igbos will deny he is ndigbo and tell us he is Delta, Ika people will say no way, his grandfather actually came from Arochukwu, it would be a comedy to behold!! |
Before Emiefele there was Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Chukwuma Charles Soludo and Joseph Sanusi, all consumate professionals who would had never mortgaged their integrity for a cabal or a president. Can u imagine any of them agreeing to wreck the finaancial sector like Emiefele has done with the excuse that it would curb vote buying? The attendant drop in GDP, employment, govt revenue and threat to the health of Nigerian banks would had made them stand their ground. You can be sure almost all Nigerian banks would be downgraded by international rating agencies in the next few weeks. We would had heard how Sanusi Lamido Sanusi said "Mr President, it's not the statutory responsibility of the CBN to curb vote buying, you have DSS, EFCC and EFCC. I can't risk the health of Nigerian banks with this implementation method." I can imagine Soludo saying "Mr President nothing must be done to put at risk the health of Nigerian banks and the savings and jobs of millions of Nigerians. That's my core mandate as CBN governor and am unable to implement a policy that would be chaotic to the sector" Joseph Sanusi would have said "Sir my core mandate as CBN governor does not enter the territory of politics and vote buying, the health of the economy comes first." Unfortunately we have a CBN governor in Emiefele who is already compromised by dirty deals, forex racketeering for which he has an indictment by the DSS. That itself made it easy to blackmail him to the bidding of the cabal otherwise they allow DSS to pick and prosecute him. Cos he lacked tact and integrity, he was cajoled to enter the political arena and buy a form to contest for president. Now he is weak and feeble and does not have the guts to say No. The interesting part is that these same cabal and president who have used Emiefele so recklessly like a Hot LovePeddler would proceed to negotiate with the winner of the elections by next week without Emiefele, secure their safe passage and allow the incoming President use Emiefele as ram meat berbecue. His disgrace would be a live television event for all of us to see |
Munamu:Let me ask again, do u say what u say cos u know it's a fact or cos u wish it was so. An telling u categorically that for UBA and Access Bank that I know in and out, for both Friday and Saturday, they gave immediate value once u submitted the form from CBN. That's d instruction they were given. Why not pick up a phone, call a bank Cash Officer or Operations Manager (not IPOB minded messenger or driver) for clarification. You guys were sold dummies to make u happy in your wickedness and joy in seeing ordinary people suffer whereas CBN has mandated the banks to give immediate value |
MXrep:Do u say this cos u know or cos u wished it was so? Why not call an operations staff in a commercial bank to help u with correct info. I was at a branch of a bank today and saw d process, customers are credited instant value. Deadline is April 10 |
iokpebholo:Do u just say this cos u wish it was so? I visited a branch of UBA today Feb 18 and saw d process live, customers were credited immediate value |
JoeyNaza:I have come to realize that most times, Buhari is served with wrong info and makes his policies based in those false info, that's why he did so poorly in many areas. This is another area he was served with wrong info. That governors stored huge cash at home is unproven, even if they did, they are smart enough to had converted what they needed for elections to USdollars and CFA to share at elections if they can't get d new notes. Secondly with the way things stand, if indeed they have d money, they don't need to pay it into any bank, during d elections they can still use d old naira to buy votes cos the people who bought can pay it into their account at any time before April 10. Yes not everyone would want to go thru d stress of filling d CBN portal but they can exchange it at a commission to a single mallam who would carry everything to d bank as long as it's below 500k. The banks don't do any investigation, they credit u immediately, I was at a branch of UBA today and saw the process live. Don't be decieved |
ceejayluv:Yes u generate code from CBN portal, print take it to the bank with the money and they give u instant value, immediate value, as at yesterday and today u get INSTANT value. I say this cos I know |
By Friday morning, the CBN issued out directives to commercial banks to collect both N500 and N1,000 old notes subject to certain conditions life filling form from CBN portal but to accept them into the accounts of customers on one off basis and give immediate value. The timeline given for this excercise is April 10, 2023. Never mind the disclaimer by the CBN same Friday which actually emphasized that it was only reissuing the old N200 into the economy, the truth is that they have asked banks to keep receiving the old notes. And most banks throughout today Saturday opened to collect the denominations. What this means is that anyone can spend and collect the old notes in the market, use it for transactions and then finally pay into his/her bank account at anytime before April 10. In other words, during Feb 25 elections, the old notes can be spent and whoever receives it can pay into the bank before April 10. Then what was the purpose of the whole bruhaha in the first place? Why suffer us all when in the end the old notes can be spent in d election period? Why kill so many small businesses, kill so many people living on the fringes of life in pursuant of a policy that has technically collapsed even before the Supreme Court final judgement? I think the opposition made a big blunder in supporting this policy. They should had fought it from the beginning and be on the side of the people and not allow Tinubu extricate himself from it. Unfortunately the opposition owned it by supporting it so passionately, thus also owning the sufferings it has infringed on the people. If things stand as it is, without counter memo again from the CBN, they have lost as the money would now be used especially in the north when they know they can pay into the bank before April 10. We have a dullard and mumu as CBN governor. Neither Sanusi not Soludo not Joseph Sanusi would had supervised this kind of shit. They just brutalized the masses for nothing! |
fortunateme:So u are still embittered over the Imo state case? Did not the same Supreme Court give PDP victory they did not win in Bayelsa and Zamfara, did the APC there start killing people like u guys are doing to this day in Imo? Some of u may hate our country, after all you are mainly coded IPOB but to kill a Supreme Court like Buhari is doing will not end well for him. After he leaves power and no longer has the aura of power, he would account for this action |
AfricanColumbus:So who has d powers to interprete the law and declare it u constitutional? Same executive? Didn't you do social studies in primary school? That should had informed u correctly. You are misleading people here cos of your political alignment on d issue |
AfricanColumbus:Are u guys really serious or what? Do u know the meaning of Supremacy of the Judiciary? The Executive executes the laws but the judiciary interpretes the law. How can an executive order exceed a court ruling? The US courts has quashed many of Trump's executive orders. So in the case of the VAT case involving Rivers state and FG, Buhari can issue an executive order to end d matter? Then why sue the FG in d first place? Oga, the Supreme court order or judgement is supreme or why is it called Supreme? In the next election, when your candidate lose due to what u think is rigging and he goes to court up to supreme court, the president will issue an executive order that he did not win the election and d case will close abi? Some people and their tot process eh, u didn't do social studies or civics in school? |
One thing is to ignore the ruling of a court, but to openly make a broadcast and overule the order of a Supreme Court, Buhari has committed a treasonable and impeachable offence. The Supreme Court is the final adjudicator in any matter under our constitution and the constitution puts it above the president. The Supreme Court under our laws and in every other country is above the president and can remove him. If what Buhari just did is allowed to stand, then cases would no longer need to be taken to the Supreme Court, even an election matter involving the president need not be taken to supreme court as a president henceforth can overide it's judgement. I urge all Nigerians celebrating what the president just did to be scared, seriously scared. No president in the history of Nigeria has ever made a broad cast to overide the Supreme Court. It also means any foreign business entity can not rely on our courts to do them justice when they seek reliefs at the courts since the president can override. We have officially become a pariah state. If we were a decent society the National Assembly (NASS) should had began articles of impeachment by today. Unfortunately our polity won't allow the NASS but am sure the next NASS, when Buhari has left power (am beginning to doubt if he really wants to leave) should charge and convict him for this high crime retroactively. His only choice would be to run to the same courts and eventually the Supreme Court to interprete whether what he did was impeachable and whether a president can be impeached retroactively. Am sure the Supreme Court would create a precedent out of his case. A nation of many fools!! |

Some of u are fixated about politics and elections which your candidate will still lose, most of us are concerned about our daily survival. Old or new, d political class would still buy votes, why not pledge to yourself that u won't sell yours? |
SpecialAdviser:Cos it's supporters are the loudest, most uncouth and most insulting |
TheCeasar:I am an Edo man, an Esan from Edo Central and though am an Asiwaju supporter, I disagree with his projection. Obi is very powerful in Esanland and has dug into and even eaten away PDP votes. Plus Esanland is not heavily swayed by money, my people are obstinately emotional. Obi of LP will likey take 50% of Edo Central, PDP takes 30% while my APC from the rear takes 20%. Where we will get redemption is Oshiomhole's Edo North and Orhionwon axis of Edo South. Obi has a good chance of winning Edo, though they will do terribly in Edo North but the huge population of Edo South will help them |
yarimo:Honestly, they are so childish, they reason like infants |
fineboynl:Edo has tasted one of the best leadership in this republic under Adams Oshiomhole. States like Abia, Benue, Taraba, Imo etc have not been that lucky. Edo carried Obi matter on their head cos both the Binis and Esans who foolishly followed Obaseki are disillusioned by his leadership, he took PDP from them and they became partyless. After shouting Edo no be Lagos and anti Tinubu stand to elect the traitor called Obaseki, they couldn't go back to APC out of shame hence they ran to Peter Obi where they will definitely Labour in vain. Ask the average Edo man who carried Obaseki matter in their head whether Obaseki is rulling Edo well presently |
Abelai:You can see how stupid you are. So u think by begging them they will stop insulting Yorubas? U are what I call a woke Yoruba, steeped in political correctness. If u like keep supporting Obi, imagine the insults now they have not won, in the unlikely even that Obi wins, these people will evict Yorubas from Lagos. Keep boasting that as a Yoruba man u support Obi, your children would curse you in years to come |
TyroneP:Suddenly, Obi supporters who over the years have abused Buhari and his cabal led by Mamman Daura as the cause of all their woes are now in love with Mamman Daura and d cabal and Buhari himself. To them Buhari is no longer Jubril Al Sudani (though they were cursing him again yesterday when he raised Tinubu's hands in Nasarawa urging the people to vote for him). Obi supporters are clowns, they will labour in vain. |
That's currently the only sensible Yoruba man Pls he should be protected at a cost[/quote U didn't even watch the video. That was Senator Smart Adeyemi campaigning in support of Tinubu and APC. Obidients have a spirit of lying, there is nothing anyone can do to help them till the morning of Feb 26 |
Obisbetter:Obi supporters are the biggest liars on earth. This is Senator Smart Adeyemi attacking the naira scarcity and declaring his full support for Tinubu/Shettima, that with what he has seen, APC will win this election. So the OP didn't watch the video? Why do Obi people tell naked lies so much? Am beginning to think they are controlled by an evil spirit |
