Kingsmeal:Cos Obi supporters are the loudest and most insulting, disturbing the peace of everyone else and trying to force their man down our throats |
nlfpmod:Long after the men have spoken, it's now the boys are crawling out to find their feeble voice. I have said it severally that Obi is a boy, his supporters are merely pushing him hence his reluctance. Give him Nigeria and in three months there is a coup. He is a nice man but fit as laity chairman of his church in ikoyi |
backnbeta:Honestly, his silence was a shame. Leadership is about taking a position however controversial. Leadership can never be forced on u no matter how passionate your supporters are. He doesn't have it, period. |
Atiku Abubakar, an irredentist, perennial presidential candidate has contested every presidential election primary or election proper since 1992. He has never stepped down for anyone or worked for the success of anyone else. He is the only candidate with that unenviable record. At every point, to him it's always the turn of the north, and he must be the north. His supporters claimed he said if the PDP ticket was zoned to the SE he won't contest but he has never said such to the open, never supported a SE aspirant so knowing who he is, we know that's a lie. A man who is not fazed that in a multi cultural Nigeria with obvious fault lines, he is pushing as a northern Fulani Muslim to replace another northern Fulani Muslim after 8 yrs without considering the other 250 ethnic groups especially in the south. He must think those others are sons and daughters of lesser gods than his own god. But the reality has dawned on Atiku that this is going to be the worst outing of PDP ever in the South East due to the Peter Obi phenomenom. In the south south like Edo which traditionally votes PDP in presidential, Obi has totally obliterated PDP support such that permutations now are that Atiku will come third behind Obi and Tinubu cos of the votes APC will get in Edo North, Oshiomhole being on the Senate balot. In Delta where his VP is from, only a strong structure backed up with the huge financial war chest of Delta State treasury would narrowly deliver him from Obi embarassment. Of course his fallout with the G5 governors means he would get far less votes from their states. Now in d vote-rich south west. Tinubu being on d balot virtually means nothing for him. He would come third in Lagos cos the Ibos that used to vote PDP would now vote Obi, a disaster for him. So how would he emerge president? Only hope is in the north. But the north is a well knit political enclave whose voters follow a pattern as agreed by their leaders. He is not a populist like Aminu Kano or Buhari who engendered organic grassroots support and bypassed the structure. He is a status quo man who the masses have always known as a status quo man so unlike Buhari he cannot bypass the political structure. So he places his hopes on a cabal in Aso Rock. The cabal failed woefully to deliver their favourite as d APC candidate and up till now have failed to deliver anything politically. They first tried treachery to place Tinubu against Buhari and the northern govs by sponsoring all sort of divisive narratives but the govs stood resilient and when they realized that has failed, they have thrown their last card - cause chaos and revolt on the northern poor through naira scarcity and perhaps prolonged fuel shortages to cause a revolution that would incite the voters in favour of Atiku. It is interesting to note that Atiku who initially pretended to support an extension changed to fight against such after El Rufai publicly blew the cover of the antics of the cabal. But Atiku does not mind that the people are hurting and that many in the north by this policy would be thrown into generational poverty after many years of hard work. He has chosen to side with the cabal against the people for his ambition, he has now owned the policy and henceforth Atiku Abubakar is the political face of the implementation of the naira redesign policy. It's his last hope for what he has coveted since 1992. But he is fighting against a very disciplined political structure in the northern APC governors who also have removed their gloves and gone for broke. The man on the APC ticket, a known fighter and winner has removed his gloves too. Kwankwaso, d man with huge support base in Kano also is not seeing eye to eye with Atiku on this. The only quiet man is the ever gentle Peter Obi, these kind of dirty fights are not his to fight after all na dem dem, or so he thinks. Time will tell, we have barely two weeks to go. |
shuttox:They are begging for your sake, for your mum, sisters and aunties who are suffering right now. This policy would never make Peter Obi win this election, he would even lose more and the result would anger u d more |
SenatePresdo:But Peter Obi cannot win my brother, he stands zero chance, the only way he comes into the discussion is cos of the big insults and distractions from his angry supoorters |

This policy is starving the society with cash would even make vote buying easier. First of all the political class already have enough of the new notes they need, they have access to the banking system and a call to a 3 bank MDs in their team would give them the whole cash they need so don't be deceived. And because the people are starved if cash, they would be more receptive of vote buyers, instead of maybe 5k or more, people would hapilly receive 2k or 3k and give u their vote. Thirdly who told u naira is d only currency that can be used to buy vote? In the core north CFA is handy and can easily be exchanged for naira at a future date, am sure those that want to buy votes have already stacked enough CFAs for that purpose. So don't even imagine this will hurt the political class, it actually benefits them, it's d masses that are in pains especially Obidients but their leader Peter Obi is too chicken hearted to speak out for them. He is not fit for high office, let he go and be Laity Chairman at his Parish wherever he worships |
Xbox2005:Seeking political leadership is a selfish endeavor because you want to be the one so 100% of them are selfish but in seeking office, once in a while d interest of the people u seek to lead must coincide with yours, hence you must speak up. Obi has shown that he would run away from doing d tough things, he would run away from a fight, the national assembly, diplomatic community and the military would cough and Obi would take flight, they would ask him to foist a very negative policy on Nigerians and he won't have the balls to fight or say no, Such a man should and will never be president of Nigeria |
Hopium:Done |
The last few days has seen so much hardshio visited on innocent Nigerians because of an ill-timed politically motivated naira redesign policy. People don't have cash to transact daily businesses and many queue daily in banks, ATMs and POS, some fighting physically and going naked. There are even states in Nigeria where there are just banks in two out of 27 local govt, people there are right now just sitting at home doing nothing as there is no more means of trade. There are four major candidates for this month's presidential elections. Asiwaju Tinubu has come out forcefully against the implementation of the policy and senior members of his campaign have openly criticized even the president for it drawing his attention to the suffering of the people. This perhaps has led to some modifications by the CBN. Atiku Abubakar too called for extension though he is now backtracking but at least he realized the suffering of the people and has made appeals on their behalf. Rabiu Kwankwaso has vehemently opposed the timing and implementation citing the present hardship the people are going through. But Peter Obi has been silent, he has taken no position and aired no position. To the suffering of the people he shows no sympathy. It is true the political class are really not affected cos they can get their cash anyway after all big men don't go to ATMs or POS or even banking queues. Big men always have their cash. But what of the poor Obidient who for a week now has not opened her shop, has not been able to find cash to buy her medicine or food for her children? As a leader Peter Obi ought to speak for them but he is not. Leadership is not forced, u can't force a man who is not a leader to play a leadership role no matter how passionate u as his supporters are, when he has not developed such capacity over time. Obi is a good man but he is not a leader, he can't stand the heat that comes with taking very tough stands and fighting it through. Obi has no balls and no stomach for a fight and God forbid he becomes president. He is in the same mould as Jonathan, would be caged by a cabal in weeks. Those that have developed themselves in leadership are the ones presently fighting for us and on Feb 25, God will reward them accordingly. God forbid a spineless leader for Nigeria |
Missgeraldine:He wept out of deep pity for your situation. Which candidate with a heart won't weep over you? |
NigerianAngelo:Chai, see the quality of the decampee, former aspirant to house of reps! Not even a former local govt chairman. Why don't Obi supporters have shame?? |
engrchykae:Enahoro never formed a militia, he never threatened to bring back the head of the queen and never ordered his supporters to burn down the businesses of colonial govt supporters. |
lhordspy:Children of hatred, anger and bitterness, raised by abusive parents in an abusive home. How else can u describe their anger over the democratic right if others? |
affable4:You don't even know the details of the judgement yet you pronounce your country has gone to the dogs. So except the side you favour wins, then it's not fair ![]() |
shuttox:Strong man with zero electoral value. How many votes has he been able to galvanized for APC all these while? |
Fujiyama:Oga talk is cheap, this is the most expansive constitutional amendment since 1999. Previous govt of PDP did almost nothing even with a super majority, at least we are seeing progress. National Grid is now concurrent so states don't need FG approval to distribute electricity, same as Railway and Airports (those I don't see d relevance of airports to be under states). Also prisons can now be built and regulated by states so we can deal with d terrible vice of overcrowding of prisons, Attorney General is now separate from Minister of Justice so that we can have non political law officer. Am sure d next president would show much interest especially in State Police and LG autonomy |
SyrusdeHansome:You seem not to understand the process of amendment. The National Assembly passed the LG autonomy bill, it was the State Houses of Assembly that refuse to pass it. Why are u now blaming the National Assembly? |
Foolishbuhari:Ogboru is no longer in Labour Party. He is now the APGA candidate. He is a serial decampee. Yes he may had been rigged out in his contests against Uduaghan but I don't think je ever had anything to offer in the first place. And after so many races and decamping, he is completely worn out and should not get near govt house |
brain54:Ogboru brings nothing to the table. Even when he is speaking, he doesn't inspire confidence that he would do some great things. He is a perennial contestant, contested every guber election since 2003 like a man imprisoned by his own ambition. He has accumulated so much political IOUs and perhaps financial debts that should he be governor, servicing those IOUs and debts would ground governance. He is no longer an option at this stage. Delta dominates in every other decor be it banking, oil and gas and entertainment but in Politics, Delta is a neophyte |
Qatar2022:We are not here to market or attack Tinubu. The issue here is the failure of governance in Delta State, let's stick to it. What really is the problem with Delta? Is it that the people don't demand good governance? Perhaps PDP knows head or tail the people have no choice but to keep voting them? PDP has Delta mumu button? |
SadiqBabaSani:I can say I live in both Delta and Edo States; I reside in one and an indigene of the other. Edo witnessed massive infrastructural development between 2008 and 2017, that's during and just after the Oshiomhole years while Anambra also did very well during that period under Obi, Delta being sandwiched between both states learnt nothing and forgot nothing. You cannot even pin point to a phase when Delta did well in infrastructure. It has always been times of mediocrity and shame. Today it glorifies itself as the Keke capital of Nigeria. In Asaba you can build your house at the center of the road and town planning won't bother stopping you or pulling it down, when they want to construct their third rate roads they will simply turn round the house for fear of demolishing it. Thats why you have so many closes in Asaba Capital territory, roads terminating in houses. What infrastructural development takes place with no town planning, when govt is not ready to exercise it's authority as govt? Perhaps many Deltans don't travel out much to cities outside the state hence they are satisfied with what the ruling class of Ibori-Uduaghan-Okowa has given them and so are willing to continue with Sheriff. In Benin, Oshiomhole fell d fence of CBN, a powerful federal agency even as an opposition gov to take land to expand Akpakpava road, he fell the fence of federally owned Post office to take land to expand Airport road and even d very reverred Omonoba of Benin had to voluntarily cede part of the palace land for him to expand Airport Road. Who are u to build a house in the road or street of Benin? Oshiomhole would bring it down. Delta needs such people as governor who pursue infrastructure so passionately without "looking Uche face". For now none in the horizon and it's so sad cos most of the residents don't even know, they are shouting "Sherified". |
The peers of Delta State at least in the South South in the area of huge revenue are Rivers and Akwa Ibom States. All three States have been PDP States but while Akwa Ibom and Rivers has witnessed huge infrastructural developments due to visionary and development minded governors, Delta has been stuck in the middle ages. Just compare what Okowa is doing presently with the giant strides of Nyesom Wike and Udom Emmanuel. Delta residents seem to be aware of this hence their resolve to punish Okowa in Feb by voting Peter Obi enmass. But ask them who they are voting for gov and they will scream "Sherified". Same Sheriff that is Okowa's imposition? Ask them what's the legacy of Sheriff, what has he done greatly in the past and what do u think he will do to make Delta great and they will tell you he is friendly and will allow money to flow around. Such is their mindset. Why did their love for Obi not energize them to look for a very credible candidate to fly the governorship flag in Labour Party? No one in Delta has ever mentioned the name of LP guber candidate if at all he exists. Why have so much passion for Obi without same passion for his down ticket? Are Deltans so comfortable with mediocrity? In the event that Obi fails to win in Feb cos of votes from other regions, shouldn't Deltans elect their first non traditional party governor as a consolation and warning that henceforth they are demanding development? Who do Deltans this strong thing?? |
How do you do a video, address it to your particular ethnic group instructing them on the strategy to ensure a member of your ethnic group wins the presidential election? Kanayo O Kanayo just did that on the belief that Peter Obi is an Ibo project who the Ibos must ensure become president. Every Ibo man is thus mandated to vote for Obi. Why? Not because he is the most competent but cos he is an Ibo man. Seems this is the real inner thought of the average Ibo person vigorously campaigning for Obi. May I tell such people that the Igbos are not the smartest or the most gifted or industrious ethnic group in Nigeria. They don't contribute to the wealth of Nigeria more than anyone else. At least they have been at the head of affairs for six months under General Ironsi. Other ethnic groups are co equal with them, the Ibibios, Efiks, Ogonis, Binis, Esans, Urhobos, Isokos, Itsekiris, Ukwanis, Ikas, Igallas, Ebiras, Tivis, Idomas, Igedes, Beroms, Kanuris, Junkuns and lots of others have not even led Nigeria for one day yet willingly support other ethnic groups. This video by a well respected celebrity Kanayo O Kanayo is disgraceful and should be totally condemned. Imagine if a Yoruba or Fulani celebrity had made such video targeting their people on how to vote for Tinubu or Atiku, the social media would have shut down and his account frozen by now. Many Igbos have opened our eyes that this Obi project is actually a journey towards Igbo supremacy and domination. When you base your campaign on lies and insults, no way you won't shoot yourself in the end. And it just happened! https://www.facebook.com/ayekooto.akindele/videos/617416797062853/?sfnsn=scwspwa&mibextid=2Rb1fB |
RoxyBrownAutos:So Donatus Okafor, Chris Anuforo and Emmanuel Ifeajuna who executed the Lagos axis were Hausas? Why in God's name did those boys brutally kill Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa? Ifeajuna drove him in a truck all day and when he became a burden took him to a field and executed him. Ifeajuna is not wholly Ibo, he is from Illah in Delta. Aguiyi Ironsi, an Ibo was the beneficiary of the coup, he ought to had tried Ifeajuna for treason and equally execute him. Unfortunately, the Ibos chose to won the coup by celebrating and supporting it so they paid the price. My opinion is that the hurt was on both sides, the civil war sadly was a brutal reply to the coup, so no side should ask for sympathy anymore. Do me I do u, God no dey vex |
herkeem:Says a man under whose watch the Uba Brothers hijacked Anambra and the state facilities were burnt to the ground. Jesse Belonwu and his gang of lawmakers even impeached him in Asaba, not Awka and it was consumated under the watch of OBJ as President, he was removed from office twice, all these OBJ or anyone could not do to Uzor Kalu or Tinubu who were open torn on the flesh on OBJ. Obi is too docile, Nigeria is too strong for him, non state actors would overun the country, in fact I fear coup should Obi become president but thank God he can never be |
https://tribuneonlineng.com/buhari-is-campaigning-against-tinubu-odinkalu/ [/quote Even before cross checking, you already know this is an Ibo man. Their ways that often sinks them politically |
SmartPolician:Your standards are really so low. Does Obi sound intelligent to u, does he sound coherent and motivational with his thick Igbo accent and girl like voice? Is Obi in the mould of an orator? Any quote from his speeches that can stand the test of time? All u can say is that he celebrates austerity and preaches prudence but to claim he is a great speaker is just too blantant a lie. |
toneroforever:You claim Edo people are not docile but who is rulling their various Local Govt Areas? When last did they have a say in who is their local govt chairman? Are u aware that for the past three years, over 60% of constituents don't have representation in their house of assemblies, and u claim they are not docile? A state where only 9 out of 24 member elected a speaker and been running the house since then? Actually Edos are the most politically docile state in Nigeria, this can never happen in Lagos |
Polchiz:The truth to the heart of the sentimentally blind are like painful darts of arrows to the heart. I feel your pains |
sapele914:I am tempted to agree with you cos as much as I don't want it, PDP will still win Akwa Ibom. As for Delta I have told them repeatedly that they should not mistake the noise and chest beating in Asaba to the feelings of the people of Gbaramatu kingdom, Burutu, Bomadi, Patani, Ughelli and co. Obi will be the first to head to tribunal, Mike Ozekhome, Alex Izinyon and Woke Olanipekun ordinarily should be hobnobbing around Obi by now but he no dey give shi shi. Maybe Barrister Ikemefuna would do the job pro bono for him |
Penguin2:There are four states in the south east and south south where Obi would be humiliated and you guys would call for cancellation and resurrect your EndSars/ESN/UGM faction, Ebonyi, Imo, Bayelsa and Cross Rivers. PDP will beat Obi silly in Bayelsa and APC will come a close second, in Cross Rivers APC will win and you guys will shout rigging. In Ebonyi Obi will lose to APC and u guys won't believe your eyes while Hope Uzodinma would ensure Imo is APC 33%, u guys would get 33% while your Sugar Daddy PDP would also collect 33%. Thankfully, I trust the army to be at hand to crush any attendant violent protest with the ferocity it deserves |
