...lnb/feed is on the centre of the dish which has already blocked signals that can be reflected by the small open holes ..so no effect by the hole..the feed has already done the damage..

go for satlink products!..ws-6906 dvbs/mpeg2 only or 6922 dvbs/dvbs2..mpeg4...sat finder,even the cheaper 6906 has sensitive tuner!

..with 90cm dish plus lnb skew at 4 o'clock tracking tp:12728v30000..when at the front of the dish!you know your 16east!..7east is at the left of 16east..then move dish up or down for 7east!..you must be easy with 12728v30000..it doesn't like fast maneuver !

the jack is not heavy duty..but it can hold the dish!..it won't move heavy dish by motor..works manually!heavy duty jack about 10/11k @ Onitsha!

well..if you have tube from a dead jack ..use it till you receive a heavy duty jack..heavy duty jack is available in Onitsha! you can use plier to move the dish using tube by adjusting the screw underneath the tube..lol

i dont have a damage one.moreso my queation is.if i get the tube of a mesh diah jack of either.1.8m or 2.4m.can it still hold it.if not pls tell me d materials and how i can inprovise.

the tube works well..i have mototorized my 3m dish last Sunday using dish bracket from a mesh dish!i used the tube to hold my 3m..before getting a jack! though I have to move jack to another sat manually using plier.. lol
I will post pic tomorrow! how to move tube using plier!

do you have a damaged jack!use the tube..remove the tube from the motor then screw manually using a plier etc

All in the house, please i have been having problem with my MBC in nilesat they are red, i have blind scan several times but to no avail. Please help me out.

MBC on nilesat 201.. won't favor south-west! where there is improved signal on the east!

Alright guys I don try this Badr/MBC on my 60cm dish for over a week. No green at all. Even just using one lnb on the dish. Nothing 12265h27500. I do get 12303H27500 and see Cordoba Intll.

Any pointers? Using 60cm dish with Strong lnb.

Please help.

I've seen people share strong decoder software here for free, and also strong can as will be upgraded with another strong decoder of same make, but I have know how much some of us have made upgrading qsat decoder, so in terms of software availability qsat is not a match, to strong and how long can a qsat last? power fluctuations is a perpetual risk to qsat, also for those who are into installation how many of you are bold enough to use qsat decoder as your constant tracking Decoder? both nearly all of you installers if not all installers use strong decoders for tracking, but at the end it boils fine to choice of the user, I'm not saying qsat is bad but come any day or time strong always be my first choice why others follow

..there are many reasons for producing softwares for a receiver...most softwares are used for fixing errors made by a manufacturer or to fix bugs! aside from other plugins..if you keep receiving constant updates for fixing bugs on a receiver etc! then manufacturer have sold unfinished product to the market!and you have too many bugs to worry about!some softwares can even contain bugs..so it not actually a bad thing if you don't have softwares always available for a particular receiver!some peeps don't even know all about softwares..just for upgrade sake!

In the meantime without using a working tp on a motorised dish can any strong receiver find new sat just by observing the signal strength of the receiver..that is another good quality of qsat!..

I always recommend decoders like Qsat because of the speed of blindscanning. It will take a Qsat decoder about 1 minute to blindscan nilesat Frequencies while a strong 4669xii and 4992a will scan the same frequency even with 8th Blindscan frequency for about 10 minutes.

yeah..qsat is good for blind scanning/and feed haunting! if you study it's meter very well ..with motorized dish you can do blind sat tracking..lol and qsat q23g is better than strong 4922a on blind scan speed..4922a is a joke!

60 to 90cm dish is required for badr_26east Maghreb for those in coverage zone calabar is not in Maghreb beam coverage zone!..you may require upto 1.2m dish for MBC HD in calabar or you can prove me wrong with 90cm dish!

..your dish bracket/mount should be designed in such a way that if at any angle or at 1° west .it should be able to bend sideways to the left that is if standing at back of the dish (2angles°) in that way you only need to track one sat then others will fall in place!
if you observe carefully on the pic below..dish points on sat close to 28east..while it also bend sideways to the left ..this makes it easy using motor to track any sat on different arc!..

..then track sat on remote program the positioner to move actuator automatically!

Nd hw to fix d positioner.. Nd cable... Motorizing is jxt ma problem

below is pics of how to connect cable between positioner with actuator..use colour codes to identify the correct wire..2 white wires goes to the motor!red and orange to the sensor! then connect correct wires to the positioner!2 white wires to the positioner motor in M1/M2 while the other 2wires red/orange connected to the sensor!

That dish is awesome.I can see close to 7 lnbs and enough RG16 cable.
Fixed dish should be discouraged.we should embrace motorise than fixed with over 20 lnb.

you are right motor is the best..aside from that feed blockage is the downside of prime focus antenna! each of those lnb will cause blockage and plus lnb on wrong focal point too many signal loss compared to using one lnb on motorised system!

There are three beams on ua pic ie Northern/European,Southern &Steerable beams...champion TV will be broadcasting on the southern one that covers sub Saharan Africa venturing into Europe will b a big step...let's wait

yeah let's wait and see lol!..on the pic is southern/european and steerable beam..according to the sat owners there is a possibility of inter-beam connections between the Northern/Southern/European/Russian with a steerable beam!..where northern beam is excluded on the pic!

Yamal 402 African beam is strong as of big brother...you can use even 60cm dish in sub sahara,west africa & southern africa...about champion TV being free yesterday as watching the Real Madrid game it went scrabbled for a minute...let's enjoy while it lasts

below is the main beam of yamal 402 Ku band which crossed over UK and Europe and sub Africa...the channel will probably be $ and champion may require EPL rights over europe....in the home of EPL..

Odilibe let me digress a little bit.I once watch a documentary where a parabolic dish power a water pump.and I think with our ideas here we can make things happen meaning not only for TV reception but also for energy generation and with our sun here I think its going to be a sustainable energy.I am searching seriously for any material that can generate heat.

@ obnelly Aluminium foil and Aluminium tape is your best choice for this type of project..Aluminium is already now used for making solar cooker...I even have Aluminium tape which I will use for some kind of satellite signal experiments when I have time lol! you may like one or two pics below!

As you are aware, the use of aluminium foil on fibre dishes is to smoothen out the natural coarse surface of the fibre material that
is used in molding the dish and enhance its parabolic properties. It is quickly followed up with a coating of white paint to dampen the
highly reflective properties of the foil thereby preventing it from being turned into a solar stove as you pointed out above. But whether
this traditional coating of white paint does much to reduce the heat reflecting tendency of the aluminium foil underneath remains suspect
as looking back in retrospect, I remember always having to change out LNBs on my former 3m fibre frequently and I never took time
to give it much serious thought until now. Compared to my present 4m pan dish with grey colored paint for which I'm now counting
over two years without a single LNB change, I think the difference is very clear.

@George..I think that you under rated the qualities of Aluminium foil a little..it is a thin leave of metal which is Aluminium it conducts electricity and reflects microwave more than steel etc..if used on fiber dish or others it will reflect satellite microwave/signals to the lnb..not only to smooth the surface like you said..and etc..


there is one guy that used cardboard sheet and aluminium foil to produce satellite dish and picked up signal..at satellite.uK forum

as for what is killing your lnb it could be from hot weather conditions..thunder strike/lightening..old age etc

Some years back. I once covered my dish with an aluminium foil to increase the signal. I got more than what i bargained for. The next day. just in the afternoon. The LNB was smoking just like somebody was lighting it with matches. It was smoking and later caught fire. It was people around who put it off. Some ignorant ones was saying that it was where i hid my JUJU. So when i came back. i immediately removed the foil and that ended the magic story. So aluminium color can be asking more than you bargained for.

you turned your dish to a solar cooker..lol.you should have covered the Aluminium foil with paint or dull paint to reduce heat!since it improved your signal quality!Aluminium foil are they not used on fiber dish!

not to that extent bro..Aluminium paint does not produce enough heat to blow up lnb..or it may produce heat but not for thermal energy lol!..I have used it recommended it to a cousin his dish surface was already rusting both of our lnb did not blow up ..though he experienced some improved signal and the shiny qualities will fade away with time / lnb with black housing will absorb heat in a hot condition and may even shrink .."aluminium paint is good paint to prevent rusting".but not to be recommended to the amature users..lol..not same with aluminum foil which is used for making solar cooker dish etc...lol
