Food › Re: Nigerian Girls And Their Horrible Cooking by odumchi: 8:13pm On Aug 22, 2011 |
I think every guy, after a hard day at work appreciates a nice homecooked meal prepared by his wife. Besides not all women are privileged enough to learn how to cook. However it boils down to the husbands decisions. |
Food › Re: Nigerian Girls And Their Horrible Cooking by odumchi: 8:06pm On Aug 22, 2011 |
AmeboAjela: It's so narrow minded to say that. So Oprah Winfrey is irresponsible cos she doesn't cook? While it is good for a woman to know how to cook but it shouldn't define us. Nigeria is a part of this world and shouldn't be looked upon as an alien village in Mars. It is okay for a Nigerian guy to ask his girlfriend to give him head, that time it is not a taboo or western thing, but when it comes to cooking she has lost touch with her Africaness abegi! For your info the best Cooks in the world are men. They make the best Chefs. So what's wrong with a Nigerian man being the best cook? If your girlfriend or wife doesn't know how to cook for whatever reason, why don't you ask your sister (who I suppose knows to teach her?) or better still why don't you teach her yourself? Incase you don't know, please know it now. A lot of Nigeria guys cook well and some even better than their women. Why do you think Oprah is still single? |

Boyloaf: i prefer cross rivers there than anambra!!! Guy i say na anambra i dey!!!!! My pipo notin dey here!!! Anambra has more spread development. Everywhere there are beautiful neat cities, organized road structures and fair development such as street lamp poles, organized sewage drains and etc. Although Calabar is also very good, it's really the main site development in Cross River State. Most of the state is still thickly forested, mountainous and meandered by questionable roads. |
Politics › Re: What's The Most Developed State In Nigeria? by odumchi: 6:53pm On Aug 22, 2011 |
jason123: In terms of OVERALL development, I'll go with: lagos, Delta, Ogun, Enugu, rivers, anambra, oyo n edo. These are in no particular order. But top 5 will definitely be Lagos, rivers, delta,Ogun n Anambra. My statement is further backed up by Beaf's post. There isn't much development in Ogun state. In fact there's only sporadic development in parts of Abeokuta and etc. I'd say Lagos, Anambra, Enugu, Delta, Imo |

1. That is something you can inquire by yourself. However their numbers are more realistic than any that Ive seen. 2. Chai, you no get sense. How does Ibibio pop in Aligbo being greater than Yorubas and Hausas mean they ate greater than Igbos? Just sit a second and lookbat what you posted. 3. Ngwa subgroup of Igbo which lies mostly in Abia is in excess of 3 million people but you wnt to tell me that Abia was 2.8m as of 2006? 4. See your problem, I'm talking about Igbolanf and you hop to the North. Igbos are the largest non-ondegine population in every part of Nigeria outside Igboland. You can't seem to focus on one thing can you? |

now apart from the millions (4 million) of yoruba and (8 million) hausa in SE
i bet u can do your calculation What part of census figures for states are not reliable don't you get? Besides this is 2011 not 2006. Are you delusional? 4 million Yorubas in SE? 8 millin Hausas? You de craze? The largest non-Igbo group in the SE are Ibibios who number around 50k. |

Here is an accurate/modern presentation of the population of Igboland. Anambra- 8.5 million Imo State-5.2 million Abia State-4.3 million Ebonyi-4.4 million Enugu-5.6 million Rivers-5.8 million (4.7 million Igbos) Delta- 3.8 million (2 million Igbos) Total-35 million Igbos in Igboland + 7.3 million Igbos in Lagos + a possible 3 million throughout Nigeria = 45 million Igbos in Nigeria. Making Igbos 29 % of Nigeria. http://www.igbofocus.co.uk/Rivers_State/rivers_state.html |

I wish ETO the best of luck in the new club. Let him not have fortune like Fenado Torres of Chealse Nah, Osaze isn't that popular he's very arrogant. If anyone I'd say Kanu followed by Ahmed Musa |

Culture › Re: Is Osu Still In Vogue? by odumchi(mod): 10:06pm On Aug 21, 2011 |
Osu are quite different from slaves. For example let's say an Igbo army raids a neighbouring village. Their warriors are killed, their men are sold into slavery and their children are taken as slaves but none become osu. The children will be treated well as servants/slaves. They'll be fed, respected by foreigners and might gain power and influence within a community.
An osu is someone who is shunned in the community and estranged for committing a Crime or for some other complicated manner. Osu were lower than slaves in the social ladder. But it's a complicated matter and isn't widespread. It's a complicated topic and shouldn't really be discussed by outsiders. |
