I was referring to the Parts of Yoruba and Hausaland inside Nigeria.

As for the north or South issue, I believe anything below Kaduna State should be considered in south since those are majority Christian areas.

If by the grace of God, that the SE will regain it's list glory, some major changes must be made. Nigeria itself is a collaboration to hamper the progress of the SE and ultimately, the Igbos. The six geo-political zones were meant to incorporate the unity of Nigerias 3 major ethnic groups.

Hausaland is fully incorporated in the NE.
Yorubaland is fully incorporated in the SW.
Igboland is NOT fully incorporated in the SE.

This is a model of the divide and conquer tactic at work. The Aggressors of Biafra, sought to divide her people and thus absorb and destroy their identity as Igbos and people of Biafra. Delta State is 55 % Igbo while the other 45 % is made up of tens of different minority groups that are less than 500,000 in population, but yet the State is outside of the SE, it's proper location.
Rivers state lies on Southern Igboland and it's population is 90 % Igbo, but yet it lies outside of Igboland. Cross Rivers State is 55 % Igbo, but yet it too lies outside of the SE even though it's the South Eastern most state in Nigeria.

All of these things have been stacked against Ndi Igbo in an attempt to make them a political "minority" in the Soutg even though they make up nearly 50 % of the population of the South. If a particular party must dominate the SE, it must first embrace itself with the other Igbo States outside of the SE to fully become an "Igbo" party. With this mentality, the Alioma (Anioma) Igbos will be just as Igbo as those from Rivers state.

Nigeria doesn't suck. We just need better coaches and training methods. Our teams usually do good initially and score the first goals but end up burning out and losing. Weren't we ranked 5 in 1994?

Lastly we need younger players. We can't keep on investing on the younger folks, we need the likes of Ahmed Musa and Nwosu.

I'm sure if you go to the East. Or even Lagos, you will find many young teens that have talent but only need sponsoring to develop it.

Didn't we win the Men's Olympic Football match in 1996?

Houses like that range around N30 million. So what kind of a house costs 1.5M? huh Even village bungalows are not that cheap.

CareerRe: Working For Five Months Without Pay by odumchi(op): 11:55pm On Jun 23, 2011
Hello everyone,
Ive spoken with him, and things have gotten a bit better. Ive advised him, as most of you told me to move on and look for greener pastures since his current position cannot satisfy his needs. He said that he tried his boss's handset for some time but he wasnt picking up. He later recieved a call from his oga and he explained his present situation to his boss, frankly. It seemed that what was at the root of the matter was a lack of communication between employer and employee, like you stated. Based on what he said, it seemed that both of them existed in two separate worlds. His employer did not comprehend the magnitude of hardship that was caused.

I asked him what they discussed and he told me that they have come to terms. He said that his boss had no idea whatsoever of the present situation that he is currently in. He started out rather annoyed with his oga for not meeting his side of the agreement. His oga's demeanor changed when he told him of his idea to threaten to bring him to court for his failure to properly compensate an employee for his labour. He said that his oga had went on a last-minute journey and had instructed the rest of his employees to notify him, but unfortunately he had not shown up to work so that is why he had gained the impression that his oga had "fled" from him. He also said that he made his intention to resign very clear to his oga, who asked him to remain working for him and not leave so that they could both atleast talk it out, but he did not agree. My friend said that he had made up his mind and was only waiting to submit his resignation letter and other documents, in person to him.

Lastly, he told me that his oga said he would return by the weekend and he invited him to see him so that they could both amicably resolve the issue of debt and discuss. Before I finished speaking with him, I warned him to maintain a solid attitude towards the intentions and ideas which he stated and also to move forward without looking back. Hopefully, all shall be well with him. I believe that what happened was a big lesson to him and to others and he is very lucky that it was resolved relatively quickly and bloodlessly. From what Ive heard the main issue was communication. Both parties did not understand each other's position and this ultimately cuased this mess.
As for him, what now remains is the long process of hopefully, compesnation and the search for employment.

Thank you Reference and to all others who also helped.

@aribisala0

You are derailing this thread, though I understand your point.

Back to the topic.

How do we (APGA) capture the SE and perhaps SS?

I made a statement about which parts of Igboland tended towards national parties in recent history. I am yet to be proven wrong on that point.

Why can't we bring Enugu state into core Igbo agenda? That is my question.

BTW Rivers and Cross River voted NPN in 1979. It does not mean there are muslims there. They just voted NPN.
You can interpret it however you like. The point is that if APGA wants to be taken seriously nationally, it must capture the East (by all means necessary), or it should be allowed to die a natural death, while Ndigbo would NEVER be respected nationally. FACT.

It just shows how completely useless and immature you are. What a man indeed. But I am still yet to receive your answer. I have no time to argue or fight with people like you who have no respect or thinking faculty. I ask you a question and you divert and dodge. If you can't support the things that you post why post them?

Since when was Nigeria overpopulated?  tongue Every nation has a population trend that dictates it's carrying capacity. Nigeria's population limit is still far away. With the amount of resources and space available, Nigeria can easily comfortably accommodate 300 million people.

Our skies are among the cleanest in the world and our atmosphere lacks light pollution.

paraphase:
1 USD =1.5 GHANIAN CEDI

1 GHANAIAN CEDI = 103 NAIRA (You can google it for confirmation)

One naira used to be one million Ghanian Cedis but now, One Ghanian Cedi is one trillion Naira.Ghana has completely met Nigeira on the race track and also overtook her.Congrats to all the PDP voters sad
Currency Is an inaccurate way to judge progress. Japan has the 3rd largest economy in the world and 1USD=100 Yen/ 1Cedi=100 yen. Usually nations with cheaper currencies tend to do better than those with higher currencies. Look at China, in 2009 1USD = 1000 Chinese Yuan. This cheap currency allowed More investors to buy Chineze goods and invest in China which led to the Boom of the Chinese economy, but now China has restructured it's monetary system so that 6 Yuan=1 USD now that they are beginning to produce more high tech materials. A cheaper currency is good for Nigerka because it will draw investors and help sell goods. Who will buy anything from a nation with overpriced currency?

As for the seemingly "tranquil" image of Ghana, it is a mirage. Ghana is just as divided as Nigeria; a Muslim north with Hausas and Fulanis and a Christian South with the Twi. Akan is not an ethnnic group rather a linguistic group. Akan is a generalization of all the ethnic groups that speak Akan wether it be the Asante, or the Twi. Imagine Igbos and Yoribas speaking the same language but still have a cultural distinction, that is the case in Ghana.

As for Ghanas GDP being higher than Nigerias, this is also normal. GDP is only the amount of income a country has divided by the amount of people. So naturally, Nigerias 150 million people will have less GDP than Ghanas 25 million. Ghana is not the Giant of Africa economically, militarily, culturally or Numerically. Nigerias 150 million + people dwarf Ghanas 25 million people (Imagine combining the pop of Lagos State and Anambra State it exceeds Ghanas entire population). Nigeria has Africa's largest and strongest military force and whenever there is conflict in Africa, we are the first to be called in. Nigeria has a far greater cultural influence over West Africa and the anglophobe nations of Africa than Ghana. With Nollywood and Nigerian songs hitting all corners of Africa, the Nigerian influence is strong.

Since when did Islam gain a stronghold in Rivers state and Cross River? Do you not know that the Islamic percentage in those states is less than 2%?

And hopefully APGA will sweep across not only The SE but all of Igboland including : Abia, Rivers, Enugu, Delta, Imo, Ebonyi, and Anambra. PDP is declining and I forsee a CPC north, ACN west and APGA east.

There's a diffence between Igbo elder caps and general hats. Igbo elder hats originated in Igboland and have been part of Igbo culture for ages even before colonization. There was no significant
Interaction between Hausas and Igbos before the arrival of the white men.

Reference:
The problem with your friend and many other Nigerians is that they are completely ambivalent to the workings of the organizations they claim to belong. It cannot take me a month to know whether an organization is worthwhile and it is certainly not up to us onlookers to determine if he should continue. His success is entirely up to him. If I were him these are the questions I would ask myself. What are the prospects of the company. Is it earning income or not and does it have the potentials. Are there management problems. Are there issues with sales. Is is suffering from excessive competition. Are its products seasonal, expired, outdated or irrelevant. There are many factors to consider. Your friends' position in the Company, how much influence he has, the organizational structure and his relationship with his boss or bosses.

If he has no influence, no internal relationships and the Company is the typical one-man, socialist enterprise, then that's a complete sham, he's in real trouble and should leave promptly but on the other hand if the Company has potentials and he can communicate them effectively, he should pull up his socks as it can be a potential goldmine for him. I've seen people take the reins in similar situations and have driven themselves into management positions.

Spare sometime, do some after work work, research the company, its products or services and see what you can do personally to drive them then propose it to your clueless boss and don't just be a 9 - 5 statistic.
I commend you for your resourceful and helpful post but it's easier said than done. In many foreign nations, the government pays an unemployment check to those unemployed, giving them the security and time to relax and carefully look for employment. Unfortunately, that isn't the case in our Nigeria. When presented with a possibly fruitful means of employment and being fully aware of the dangers and sufferings of the unemployed world, one would simply and quickly entrust hope and faith into a job without giving second thoughts, and I believe that is what happened in his case.

Prior to thus situation that he is in, he a flourishing and promising job as a Shipment director and according to him, he had no idea of the calamity that would befall him. I remember some months back when he told me that two of his companies' trucks had an accident on their way to Warri. That was when all of his problems began. He said their small corporation lost all of the materials that their clients had ordered and they were unable to refund them since they had already invested the money, forcing them to force-close, leaving him where he is now. But I digress, like it is said, it is condition that make crayfish bend.
CareerRe: Working For Five Months Without Pay by odumchi(op): 4:57pm On Jun 22, 2011
Man, it's easier said than done. I spoke with him the other day, and he updated me on the seriousness of his condition. I never believed that a man could decline the way that he had. He told me that he has sold his car and some few belongings inorder to satisfy the overdue mortgage and he asked me to send some money to him.
Believe me, I was shocked when he said this.

He said that he had stopped work for a few days and when he went in to submit his resignation letter attached with a personal letter to his oga, they told him that he had travelled. He was very furios and annoyed and has officially stopped work. As of now he us unable to take loans from the bank since there is no means of paying back and he does not want to risk his house. I asked him what he planned on doing and he said that what is most important is getting in contact with his employer and getting those months of labor compensated. I advised him that it is best if he starts searching for another job but he requires the knowledge of his employer inorder to submit his resume.

I never believed that people could be so heartless. Whenever I get more from him, I will continue to update you guys.
