Abeg make i hear something jor!
Ah ah, one no go get peace for dis place? Everything that happens you must put Igbo in it. Which one be your own sef?

Why must you always invoke other people? Is it because of the Igbo- prefixes? Those are there because those towns were founded long ago by Igbo settlers from the East. I am getting sick and tired of this nonsense i witness here. It shows how irresponsible you are. At every quake you must blame others who are innocent. Solve your own problems for once.

Ileke-IdI:
Igbo kidnappers are going from local to national.

From Edo to the SW. . . . I bet they cant try that in the North. Binis and Yorubas need to send these kidnappers back to their homeland.

It's getting out of hand. Life should be priceless.

BusinessRe: Anglican Bishops Kick Against Proposed Islamic Bank by odumchi: 11:20pm On Jun 14, 2011
I rebuke this in the mighty name of Jesus.

The Islamic Bank is a bad idea that will only create more division in Nigeria. There is no reason whatsoever to introduce a bank that revolves around religious principles. People dont need to be reminded that they are Christian while you are Muslim. Nigeria is far too young for this type of bank. Nigeria is still a new nation only 50 years old while England is over 1000 years old. The two nations shouldnt be compared because the level of human and social development in the two nation is not equal. Imaging creating a Roman Catholic Bank in England back in 1500 when Catholics and ANglicans were adversaries. People should think for once.

Not everyone was directly from Africa. The modern Japanese people migrated from Eastern China 200 ce.

What part are you from? I'm from the East. And is there a difference in the type of movies we each have?
CultureRe: Japanese Names & African Names by odumchi(mod): 6:39pm On Jun 13, 2011
It's an interesting topic. Some people say that Ancient Japanese were from Africa. They say they migrated to Madagascar from the mainland and then to Japan but this is obviously a joke.

I'd say it's a mere coincidence. Many Igbo and Yoruba words resemble Japanese.
And Funmi is Yoruba. I believe the full name is Oluwafunmi meaning "Give me joy".

I've met many Yorubas named Funmi

You're not getting me.
Israelites are different from the Modern day Israelis. Israelites of the bible were an ethnicity chosen by God to receive his Word.
Palestinians are people that dwell in Palestine but they are ethnic Arabs.

CultureRe: What You Love About The "naija" Tribes. by odumchi(mod): 3:02am On Jun 13, 2011
So Israelites aren't an ethnic group? But if so, I'd prefer you refer to yourself and your people as a "tribe" as from myself I hail from the Igbo ethnic group.

Last time I checked 33 million and counting was majority in Nigeria.
CultureRe: What You Love About The "naija" Tribes. by odumchi(mod): 12:48am On Jun 13, 2011
PAGAN 9JA:
NO ITS NOT! ""tribe"" sounds much cooler and is actually more accurate. cool
He is right. The word tribe is very demenaing and isnultive. There are 12 tribes of Israel but they are all ethnic Jews. Tribe is used by whites when referring to negroes with a negative, uncivilized and uncultured conotation. Please use ethnic group it is cleaner and sounds more educated.

Blazay:
The extremely proud nature of the South-Southeners(they never beg for anything and do not kiss arzzzes)! cool
The cohesiveness of the North-Northerners, minus their damn religion! They are always one. . .never killing themselves for rituals!

NORTH AND SOUTH OF NIGERIA FOR EVER! kiss

Nothing to love about the East or West of Nigeria. I don't like cowards and I don't like materialistic hedonists masquerading as 'religious' beings!

Case closed! kiss
Same thing you are doing now isnt it? Minority kissing Hausa backside, yet they still steal your people's oil and destroy your environment and you continue to love them. Good for yourself.

Delta State population: 7 million
Delta State Igbo Population: 4 million (broken up into 3 million Anioma, 1 million others some hailing from Anambra)

Please sir use your brain. Unlike Yorubas and Hausas, you will find a substantial Igbo population in every major town across Nigeria. If you come to Igboland, young men and women are rushed out of the villages and to the various cities which are sites of potential work.

I met some people from Gambia and Cote d' Ivoire and once I told them I was from Nigeria they asked "Are you Igbo?"
After telling them I was, they said they'd Been to Lagos and proceeded speaking the bits of Igbo they had picked up there such as "Chineke" and etc.
If Lagos's population is truly 15 million, then that leaves 6 million Igbos living in Lagos city. Lagos is also the second home of Nollywood which is run overwhelmingly by Igbos, so it only makes sense.
Igbos are also the second largest ethnic group in Lagos city second only to indigenous Yoruba. But I'd say the percentage ranges from 20-40% making anywhere from 3million-6million Living in Lagos.

Musiwa,,:
because you love to cheat us. look at this map. and look at how taxes system work.

You people wrote a taxes system that makes it impossible . look in the last 40 years Igbo and the north have not contribute close to nothing into the system but you keep on asking and taken more than people who contribute .

do you honestly think that is fair.?

See how large the north is. and they do not contribute close to anything to the federal govt revenue for over 40 years. is that fair. You northerners should ask yourself the home truth.
Nobody should be telling northerners to start contributing to the federal govt. they should do that themself. you dont expect for this to continue. nobody is a fool.
My friend you de craze? How dare you say that Igbos contribute nothing to Nigeria? Aniovia uchu Gbkakwa gi. Do you not know that 90 % of Nigerias revenue comes from the East? A large majority of bankers, firm owners, lawyers, entrepreneurs in Nigeria are Igbo. What has the West contributed to Nigeria? If you say Lagos, that is invalid because up to 40% of Lagos is Igbo, and Lagos was built by the many ethnicities of Nigeria not only by the Yoruba. Infect Lagos was originally a Bini town.
I don't want to see this kind of nonsense posting that you're sporting here, please only post the complete truth.

And FYI as EzeUche said, the lands directly west of the Niger and farther East are Igbo, intact Delta state and Rivers state are majority Igbo, only a wonder why they aren't in the SE.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Reaction After Election On The South West by odumchi: 8:16pm On Jun 09, 2011
This Is only nonsensical complaining and noise. Are you trying to tell me that the reason the SW isnt politically sound is because of the SE and NE? Your case doesn't qualify because as things are now if anyone should be complaining it should be the people of the SE and SS (Igbos and etc). Nigeria Is slowly opening up to the SE and now people are complaining?
If Yoruba people seek to climb atop the political pyramid (which is currently dominated by NE), major internal problems need to be fixed.
Yoruba land is divided between PDP and ACN whereas Hausas are divided between CPC and ACN, but an overwhelming majority of Igboland is PDP. ACN and CPC do not have popularity in the East, as our last election showed. If the Yoruba people want to progress, people like Obj must not be among your ranks.
