kaybams1:Guy, you sound naive, I'm sorry. The last time a referendum took place in Nigeria was under the regional system, in 1963 to be precise, when the Mid-West decided to split from the then Western Region via a referendum. That '63 constitution made provision for and allowed for that referendum to hold. The current constitution does not (by design), and the real owners of Nigeria will not allow its insertion. It's not by mistake that ever since military incursion into Nigerian politics, similar acts in the form of state or local government creation were exclusively carried out by the military and by fiat, and not once has such been achieved under any civilian government since the collapse of the 1st republic -- because the real owners of Nigeria prefer a system that determines the distribution of federal revenue allocations based on population (which favours them & always works to their advantage) as opposed to resource control. In other words, since the introduction of a unitary system and the current constitution by the military (in cohorts with the real owners of Nigeria) the Northern establishment has seen to it that the collective aspirations of Southerners (and to an extent, the Middlebelt) for a more equitable and truly federal system can hardly come to fruition. You must get their consent (which won't happen coz they know they have the numbers and will always use it to their advantage to thwart any move that they deem to be against their parasitic interests, be it resource control or what have you) to make any meaningful change to the current constitution imposed on us by the military. - You can't have state creation without their expressed consent (they know that if you create additional states down South, you automatically create room for more lawmakers to balance the equation at the National Assembly). - You can't create new local governments without their consent (if your state assembly creates them, they won't allow them to be funded) - You can't generate and distribute electricity without their support e.t.c. Our Southern politicians representing us at the National Assembly have largely been compromised. And frankly, they still wouldn't succeed even if they moved (in unison) and attempt to address some of these issues coz they simply lack the numbers to push it through without the support of their Northern counterparts. |

The Yakassai fella seems to have an axe to grind with Yorubas for being at the forefront of the restructuring agitation as the evidence below shows: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/restructuring-southwest-troubled-nigeria-since-1953-yakasai/ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/10/restructuring-nigeria-yoruba-agenda-yakasai/ |
Guestlander:It's dead-on-arrival. Abi since when did abo.ki yakasai, a confam Yoruba-hater, become a spokesperson for professing Muslims of yoruba extraction?? Even some ipob touts on this forum are fond of employing the same tactics as well, but ogun lo ma deal pelu gbogbo won. |
Clearly the latest tactic of the enemies of Yorubas is the attempt to divide them via religion. I think there's an active conspiracy to achieve just that. |
Omofunaab2:Omo biafra no werre yen, don't disturb yourself. Hopefully we will soon be able to deport his likes from Yorubaland, so he can go and lick some piss at Umuahia, and worship Shuku-Obuko-Obioma. |
IgboticGirl:E pain am. Lol.
|
@OP and his biafrat piglets. Wetin consign you? Is it your 'loose'? Why crying more than the bereaved? Allow Yoloba people to 'loose' their 'loose' na. Abi na by force?? |
The fool forgot to include Kano, Kaduna, Ibadan, Jos, etc. Awon werre. Smh. |
These are supposed to be lawmakers constituency project allocation. |
JohnXcel:He's right. A thread already exists on that on nairaland. https://www.nairaland.com/3048964/aregbesola-resuscitates-ede-cocoa-processing |
To such a man I say, 'Alaye double (or even quadruple) your hustle.... '. |
laudate:My bad. Didn't know the company's already been profiled. |
Femi Obagun - MD, Onward Stationery Stores Limited/Onward Paper Mill Limited https://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s480x480/e35/18443426_1195692880560100_3928386962498519040_n.jpg https://s26.postimg.org/6ge1t74d5/papermill.png https://s26.postimg.org/7v5z729qx/onwardbooks.jpg https://onwardstationery.com/images/logo.png ONWARD STATIONERY STORES LTD Is a limited liability company formed in 1953 by Chief M. Obagun. He started trading paper just after leaving school, at first buying locally before he began wholesale imports. Whenever he is in the mood and feels like recanting the story, one will know that the first type of paper he imported was NCR from a Norwegian company and this little transaction is what really started the journey of OSS. In time he was able to build a team around him that shared his ideas of integrity, his vision and commitment to excellence. With people like Mr. Emmanuel Ogunsanya, his erstwhile managing diector, who worked with the company for 40 years. OSS expanded into importation of many other paper products over the years and built a solid reputation for supplying quality paper products. In fact, the name Onward came to be closely associated with quality. In time the OSS vision to become a topmost supplier of quality paper products expanded into manufacturing paper products. In 1973, Onward Paper Mill was birthed to manufacture stationery products like notebooks and envelopes amongst others. In 1989, Epesok paper mill was created to manufacture jumbo rolls and tissue products Our strategic location at the heart of the biggest paper market in Lagos and possibly Nigeria ensures our customers are never too far from getting access to our papers and our warehouse in the same axis is big enough to accommodate paper stocks to satisfy our customers. OUR VISION AND MISSION It is not only to be seen as a value creating reliable paper supplier. We aim to build relationships with our customers sustained by understanding and responding to their needs whilst aiming for mutually benefical position always. We also believe that a company is only as strong as its people, thus the proper welfare of our staff is also part mission and part strategic objective. Currently, with the new team led by Femi Obagun, we are determined to not only preserve the legacy left to us, but also expand it by increasing and enforcing our market share and adhering to the old values of integrity, reliability and mutually benefical cooperation. |
Unity beggar oshi. I don't understand how you, a supposed Yoruba man, can claim to know what is best for an igbo man than an igbo man. Is it by force? Can't you survive without igbos? Coz I don't understand the point of this sermon of yours for goodness sakes. People like you are really making Yorubas look bad especially on this forum and I'm sick of that shyt. What igbos are asking for is within their right. Even Yorubas sef want restructuring (at the very least). We don't see your likes supporting restructuring on here, rather you will be attacking those that are advocating for either restructuring or secession. You need to get a life boy, coz you are an embarrassment and that's the truth. |
igbodefender:How pathetic. Shame no even catch una. Just coz una no get any proud history to identify with, you had to fabricate one by attempting to forcefully inject yourselves into Yoruba history. Una sha wan form attache with Yorubas by fire by force. I feel your pain but it's way too late to rewrite or superimpose yourself into Yoruba/ife history. ![]() |
Omofunaab2:See as you just expose their yansh? Eleriibu chestbeaters lawon Biafurons yi. |
igbodefender:Guy, are you this daft?? So because you have an Ugbo in igboland automatically means that they are synonymous with the Ugbo in Yorubaland? Smh. Fyi, the Ugbo in Yorubaland is merely a dialect variant of 'Igbo' - which means forest in Yoruba language. Ugbo people of Ondo state do not bear any relationship or similarities with igbos of the SE, stop this attache by force! |
igbodefender:Guy, if you like you can claim Chinese origin sef, na una sabi. Never came across a more confused set of folks than y'all. Smh. |
igbodefender:Guy stop this foolishness. This fabrication of yours has been refuted times without number yet you keep parroting it like pesin wey dem swear for. The Ugbos that you are appropriating are the ones in present day Ondo state. This sick attempt to inject yourself into Yoruba/ife history is dead on arrival. You no get Shame?? |
igbodefender:Yinmu. Keep deceiving yourself. Must you people form attache by force? That's how you all claimed Jewish ancestry until y'all were embarrassingly denied in full glare, now una dey try to fabricate Ife ancestry by twisting and appropriating a heritage that you have no portion in. Na wah! Shey dem swear for you people?? This una inferiority complex na something else!! |
This OP is just another obsessed ipob punk a$$ ignoramus. Yorubas have been at the forefront of the call and clamour for restructuring since as far back as 1953. Your own Abok.i bosses even acknowledge that much. When Awo was advocating for restructuring as far back as the 50s, your own Zik was unity-begging. When Awo was making the case for the inclusion of a secession clause into the constitution, your Azikiwe rejected the idea and was still unity-begging. You need to get a life and educate yourself instead of acting a fool. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/restructuring-southwest-troubled-nigeria-since-1953-yakasai/ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/10/restructuring-nigeria-yoruba-agenda-yakasai/ I guess your own Rochas and Umahi that are against restructuring are Yorubas huh? https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/dont-need-restructuring-nigeria-okorocha/ http://dailypost.ng/2017/06/29/ebonyi-biafra-restructuring-governor-umahi/ |
EponOjuku:Guy, you get time to dey engage that fanatic. Good luck with that. ![]() |
maclatunji:Koshi lo Jo. A mo iru yin. Eru gambari alainitiju. You will never chastise your ab.oki masters for holding the rest of the country hostage with their power mongering but will always be quick to attack your own supposed kin. That we reject being treated as slaves in a system tilted against us is the more reason why we are saying enough is enough. It is the reason why igbos are agitating for either secession or restructuring. It's the same reason why the middlebeltans, Yorubas, Niger Deltans and the likes are also clamouring for restructuring. Only the Northern leaders are overwhelmingly against it. But like an ostrich with its head buried deep in the sand you will never see nor acknowledge none of that. |
deedeedee1:That wouldn't surprise me one bit bro. Even the Islam that he professes makes provision for the eventuality of divorce in a marriage. The Nigerian 'marriage' has obviously failed to meet the expectations of the parties involved, therefore it's either the parties sit down and try to agree on how they can possibly iron out their differences and agree on terms and conditions for remaining together (restructuring), or they go their separate ways (separation/secession). Kapish! It's only commonsensical, really. Only a slave party in a marriage will be deprived/denied the right to separation/divorce in the event that the marriage is no longer a happy union. That boy is exhibiting the traits of a confam slave. |
maclatunji:Guy, why are you like this?? Omohayek is not even making a case for secession but rather restructuring, yet you still can't help defending your abok.i paymasters and their retrogressive narrative. You keep promoting your a.boki bosses' retrogressive narrative of rejecting BOTH restructuring and secession as if you are a slave. If you are fine with the current system well sorry to bust your bubble but the rest of us are not!!! Even your gambari bosses have acknowledged that Yorubas have been at the forefront of the call and clamour for restructuring since as far back as 1953. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/restructuring-southwest-troubled-nigeria-since-1953-yakasai/ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/10/restructuring-nigeria-yoruba-agenda-yakasai/ Are you a slave that you keep defending this shythole of a system?? Shey won fi se e ni? Shey eru gambari ni o wa aiye e wa shey ni?? You better be getting paid some shitload of money to be doing this crap of defending your paymasters this much, for real!! Coz it's not making any sense. |
Little wonder his arch nemesis Wike has also been visiting Sokoto lately to lick the Sultan's butt. Perhaps he's also hatching a similar plot that will see to the ousting of the current government. ![]()

Dasuks:You made a good point. Besides, the report didn't capture the bigger picture. E.g, the manufacturing sector is also a huge FDI magnet, as the excerpt below shows: http://leadership.ng/2017/08/11/nigerias-manufacturing-investment-hits-n3-7trn-3-years/ Nigeria’s Manufacturing Investment Hits N3.7trn In 3 Years ...In addition, data generated from MAN survey also showed that 69.9 per cent of total manufacturing investment in the review period, which stood at N448.94 billion, went to Ogun; thus retaining the zone as the investment haven of the nation. |
The world is steadily moving on from 'oyel'. An enabling environment and right policies are very critical to attracting fdi. But then again, the report didn't capture the bigger picture. |
He will live to regret such a decision. |

Onward Paper Mills & Stationery Stores had earlier been profiled on page 206, too. They are the largest paper mill factory, in Nigeria. Has Kunle Obagun, now handed over the company to his brother, Femi Obagun?
