PoliticsRe: Hope Uzodimma: Why I Am Supporting Buhari’s Re-election Bid by ODVanguard: 9:30am On Feb 27, 2018
The only way igbos will stand a chance of winning the presidency come 2023 is IF they put forward honourary Igbos like FFK and Fayose. If not they should forget it.

PoliticsRe: Convention: APC National Caucus Meets Today, NEC Tomorrow by ODVanguard:
Tinubu may not be a saint (which politician is? Not even Buhari with all his 'integrity' is. Nowhere in the World will you find 'saintly' politicians), but he is still the go-to person and central figure for negotiations with the FG in the SW region. This to me is a big advantage for the SouthWest over other regions, because ordinarily the region's governors don't carry much political weight either individually or collectively anyway -- How many of them have the capacity to remain relevant outside of office the way Tinubu has managed to over a decade since he left Alausa? We all witnessed how the PDP shortchanged the SW from the chairmanship position coz they were just too fragmented.

I am not too comfortable with the assignment given to him, but I think it is in the overall interest of the SW that Tinubu remains relevant at the centre while this administration lasts. Lastly, all those abusing and attacking Tinubu are either ignorant or just being mischievious because Politics is first of all a GAME. It is for those with the gusto and stomach to play HARD BALL! It is about negotiations. It is about being controversial if need be (you will represent different things to different people at different points in time), compromise, building alliances, gaining confidence and influence. It is an art of bargaining for Power in order to achieve one's interests -- power is not given on a platter of gold, it is gotten via high-wired politiking. And Politics is not meant for idealists. The likes of Soyinka will never make a good politician in the Nigerian setting. Politics is for pragmatists and realists who aren't overly sentimental when dealing with issues. Tinubu will always be relevant because he seems knows when to put sentiments aside and get into real politiking. Until Nigeria is restructured in such a way that would render being at the centre redundant, I'm of the view that the SW needs to play real politiks of self-interest for the progress of the region.

Are you minding the unserious elements? When Anambra and Imo did it, it wasnt 'apatheid'. Or are there no non-Igbos in both SE states? But when Lagos does it, it is apatheid. Jokers.

Your people are the ones who have to flee your region in droves via nightbus, risking their lives just so they can come to mine to take a stab at a chance at living the good life and 'making it'. In the real world everyone knows who the wandereing almajiris of the South are. And they definitely ain't from the best side. Mention me again and I will swear for you. Morafocka like you.

Can't understand how that link can change the roof colours of Ibadan? grin
Isnt it ironic that in spite of all the embelished pictures of progress you show of your region, and the countless hours and effort you and your ilk expend in selling the place (while simultaneously deriding ibadan and the rest of the SW states), images like the one attached below have still not abated in your parts, proving that your own people aren't buying none of that propaganda coz at the end of the day, their bread is still being buttered in that same ibadan and other 'brown roof' SW cities. Smh. Evidently, they just cant wait to flee that SE hellhole via the next available bus to the West (best) side. undecided

Correct omoluabi, but Ogun state cannot develop more than Oyo state because of the Ajimobi magic wand, watch the body language of oyo state governor and you will understand why we are developing faster than Lagos. Lagos is overrated abeg.
I don't get why you keep deluding yourself into thinking that you can perhaps fool people with this moniker of yours. Smh. You igbos are so insecure that at times it bufuddles the mind. Worst still, in spite of all this hype, you all still refuse to sit your butts in your eldorado region, choosing instead to become wanderers who would rather dwell and earn a living in the same (better off) parts of the country you love to hate. That shyt dont make no sense. Smh.

I can confidently say that 99.987% are walking mad humans that their entire life, history n afterlife have been destroyed with hate. I just do not see how your unborn generation will not perish all over again with so much hate.
I think it is the water they drink in that part of the country that contaminates their reasoning faculty. Plus, we also can't rule out the devastating effects of Akpu. Sometimes I wonder how they can live with themsleves, carrying all that hate around like that.

So am now wishing to see lagos fail?, because I don't agree with this policy. Dude learn to accept others opinion. am just saying what's on my mind and I have no evil plan towards any body.

It's funny how you suddenly term this SS/SE, must everything be about region?.
See me see wahala o. No be you agree with that Biafrat EternalMumu about the consequences of the law? I was only agreeing with you na. You are from SS, while your sidekick is from SE, so where did I go wrong? You people already wish Lagos ill and make no secret about that. Therefore you should be happy about this law since you are so sure that it will 'hunt' Lagos. undecided

Yinmu. We don hear, thank you very much. But sorry the law will stand so you can quit crying more than the bereaved already. Let it 'hunt' us, or is it your 'hunt'?? In fact, let these 'best of non-yoruba brains' port to the SE/SS over this law sef, that way your wish to see Lagos retrogress and fail will begin to take shape and eventually come to pass. The passage of this law has made it clear and has put to rest the debate on who the owners of Lagos are.

Any other aggrieved "owner" should make the official usage and promotion of his own language law in Lagos.
Lol. Don't mind those noisemakers. A similarly themed bill mandating the state assembly to conduct plenary every Thursday in Yoruba language was passed and enacted close to 2 years ago, and is already being implemented. The only flatron lawmaker in the house objected to its introduction but expectedly the remaining 39 sons of the soil had their way -- that is democracy at work.

We sabi how to handle them wella. First they will wail and make some noise but in the end they ALWAYS fall in line. Na their way.

They forget that Lagos has long ceased from being an FCT and consequently its full administrative control has reverted back into the hands of its natural and rightful owners.

Even though we are promoting our languages and culture, Some Igbo tribe will perceive it as Tribalism
There. Fixed. Who cares?? Since when did Yorubas require their permission to preserve their mother tongue and culture in their own land? Did igbos ask Yoruba permission when passing similar laws in their own region?

Na their way. Yoruba people no give a flipping fvck when they passed similar laws in their enclave. Anyway, they are just wasting their time.

PoliticsRe: Lagos PDP Kicks Against Yoruba Language Preservation And Promotion Law 2018 by ODVanguard:
The Op and the PDP are wasting their time. Igbos themselves pioneered this move in the SE long before Lagos did and we didn't hear kpim. Those that want to be exempted should stop making noise and just simply opt for Lagos federal unis instead. It is not by force to attend Lagos state owned schools.

Did anybody complain when Lagos make Yoruba language compulsory in their schools, what is shameful and tribalistic in it is saying that before you enter tertiary institutions own by lagos state that one must have credit in Yoruba language, that is highest point of bringing tribalism into education, what will happen to a parents that just relocated to Lagos due to federal government posting and the children cant access the higher institution in the state because they must have credit in yoruba languge, isn't that a tribalistic unintelligent stupid retrogressive law.

You people will carry one Nigeria for head like gala but in dark corner be planting division and tribalism everywhere.

Yoruba like introducing tribalism into anything in Nigeria, they first introduce tribal politics now tribal education yet they are the tribe that love one Nigeria more than any other tribe because of Niger delta oil money that they are feeding on.

Imagine what will happen in Nigeria if every state in Nigeria state to enact a law that say that every student must have a credit in any of their indigenous language in their state before a student will be allowed to study in their schools.

Federal government should call them to order or they should divide Nigeria let every region manage their resources.
Where was your hypocritical behind when your SE governors pioneered the idea?
