Fantastic submission!

But the only difference here is that while in my analogy, the parents of the child is permanent, in practice, as it relates to Nigeria, the parent (president) is not permanent.

So, while we may currently have a parent who, instead of using the money saved from the removal of the oxygen pipe from our sibling in the hospital for the good of the family chooses rather to use the money to take concubines, buy cars and engage in several other profligacies, tomorrow we may get a parent who is not like the current one and he will use the money judiciously for what it should be used for.

And then the only gratitude we will owe our former parent was having the courage to see through the removal of oxygen pipe from a sibling who had rendered all of redundant.
😂 🤣 Next parent that will still be installed by the previous parent? 😂 🤣

BusinessRe: Nigerians, When Last Did You See A ₦5, ₦10, Or ₦50 Note? by Offpoint1: 11:40am On Jun 02, 2025

First and foremost, I don't use #5, I barely use cash transaction, that is to say, I barely get in touch with cash on my daily transaction, from fuel stations to saloon, everything I do, I barely touch cash, the only reason I touch cash is because I'm traveling and don't want to get stranded in a village or town where cash is very much the means of transaction.

As for your question, it doesn't correlate with the post, #5 infact new #5 notes are still in circulation, from Kaduna to Bauchi to Yobe to Sokoto, these denominations are still in circulation, that's what is relevant to the post, create your own post and I will reply you accordingly.
Y'all should stop defending nonsense, except in the North, you can hardly see N5, N10 and N20 note outside northern region.

I have lot of people into provision stores and those who traveled to remote areas for sourcing.... Here in Lagos you can't hardly see those denominations and some stores are rejecting them.

You mean the cost of producing those lower denominations is far more than the value (purchasing power)of the money.

I shame for naija!
It cost more than N100 to produce N100... That's the sad reality.

If you say +250% for yam, you are saying that if a tuber of yam was #400, then +250% should be #1,400 of which it isn't a secret that the value of #400 tuber yam now is over #4000....
Enjoy your hope!

You obviously have no clue how the economy works.

If a sell a cup of garri at N20, when inflation of everything is 1000%... How many cups do you think will I will need to sell to be able to afford to buy a bathing soap which I can't produce?

Where is the snub grin

The president's action suggests more like this one is homeboy jare, you don't need a handshake.

If Tinubu does not like Sanwo as such, it does not take him anything to ochestrate his removal grin instead of resorting to doing petty stuffs like refusing an handshake from him.

Baba is bigger than all of that.
So a president will remove a seating governor because he doesn't like him... Just like that?

In graphics design term, we call it "Make it pop"

When you deliver a minimal design to a client and SHE wants you to make it "POP" 😂

Stair below was the minimal design, while the one at the top is the "make it pop"

Instead of deleting the minimal design or creating a new art board, the designer decided to duplicate and make the top "POP"... Because "Make it pop" will end up telling you to revert back to the minimal design

Sorry if I sounded hash earlier.

Screen is a no no for kids, it's discourage by children's doctors. I got mine at 5, still her doctor was against it, I had to dash it and get her pictorial story books and games.

Your thoughts are from a good place, but it'll do more damage to their attention than good.

At this stage, they don't need education, they need to be kids. Play, eat, sleep.

I enrolled mine into school at 4, despite fights from the mom from year 2 to enrolled her. (I always asked her "bae where are we running to? I started mine at 7 years old, am I not done with school now? 😂)

As a graphics designer, I designed different educational characters and print them out as cards and mini banners, we play with it together and learn.

She's topping in her class from first session and the mom that was fighting me ends up thanking me 😂.

FamilyRe: Cohabitation Is Not Marriage: A Legal Reality Check by Offpoint1: 3:30pm On May 28, 2025
Samantha125:
This is the reason why my family is against the idea of cohabitation... None of us have ever lived with our husbands before marriage.

Even when my husband asked for my father's permission to move with me to Durban after paying the bride price, my father agreed under the condition that we live separately until we're married... We had to look for an apartment close to where my husband was based and my father was the one who took the financial responsibility of paying for the monthly rent and everything.
Paid your bride price and still not your husband?

Being enslaved to man made law or societal law is the worse thing to happen to one
FamilyRe: Cohabitation Is Not Marriage: A Legal Reality Check by Offpoint1: 3:26pm On May 28, 2025
LawWithEbele:
After cohabiting with a woman for 30 years, a man assumed that their decades of living together and raising children, despite never paying bride price, automatically amounted to a customary marriage.

So, when he decided it was time to move on, he accused the woman of denying him sex and asked the court to dissolve the “marriage.” But the court was quick to point out that there was no customary marriage to dissolve.

Cohabitation, no matter how long, without more, does not amount to marriage.

That was the end of the road for both parties—to your tent, O Israel.

Sadly, many women are in the same situation. They move in with men, have children, run homes, and live as wives—without any formal marriage ceremony, bride price, or legal recognition. It may feel like marriage, it may look like marriage, but legally, it is not marriage.

Imagine doing everything a wife does—cooking, cleaning, childbearing—without enjoying any of the legal protections or privileges of a lawful spouse. That’s the harsh reality that awaits anyone on that path.

Ladies, let’s do better.

I am Aroh-Nwoka Ebelechukwu, your family and property lawyer.

Question for the house: Do you think our laws should recognize long-term cohabitation as marriage, especially where children are involved?
Some of y'all can't think out of the societal box or made rules.

Who introduced bride? Who introduced "legal marriage"?

Natural marriage is consent. Once two opposite sex consented to leave together and raise a family, that's marriage... Every other thing is man made.

I don't need no pastor, Iman or court to be the one to decide if I'm married or not.

One she consented and her family approves... Fxxxxk man made laws
FamilyRe: Old Age by Offpoint1: 3:11pm On May 28, 2025
missidy:
Old age comes with a lot of problems and living with old people is really difficult. Dementia, Alzheimer disease, all kinds of sickness, slowness. Old people are also very troublesome especially to their caregivers. I'm currently dealing with one and it's not easy at all. That's why I wonder how all these Nigerians that are doing care giver work in UK cope? Living with an old person is like having a child. The difference is children grow up and become independent meanwhile, old people get older and become more dependent so you are never free. Old age plus sickness is the worst.
The troublesome own is the worse part of it... Only children or grandchildren can take care of their old ones because they're used to them... Anything external caregiver, na headache

FamilyRe: Mistakes Men Make In Marriage (MMM) by Offpoint1: 2:32pm On May 28, 2025
People will wake up and chunk whatever they feel in their head is the right guide to marriage.

As a realist I've always said; When it comes to humans, there's no guide to marriage or relationship.
Humans are extremely complex creature, unpredictable in nature. What you presumed is the right guide, might turn to be the worse...

Even God can't guarantee you a "successful marriage", the first marriage was conducted by God and God himself gave the woman to man... We all know who was responsible for the man fall.
