I think it's fair enough...That is if you don't have House rent, Nepa Bill, siblings expenses, offering, tithe and others to do. But if you do then I think N600 is on the high side.

I earn well over 150k monthly and once I exceed N700 on food alone, I start feeling like am being too extravagant.

I will advise you save first then make budget on the outstanding. That way, you are able to determine your expenses based on the balance after savings.

I have been a guest for so long on nairaland but decided to register because of this problem.

I have always been afraid of sleeping alone in a room except there is someone sleeping there with me. Even my secondary and tertiary days I had colleagues sleeping on my bed with me because of this phobia.

This was due to some horror movies we used to watch as children at night especially when dad travelled. I was scared of watching but couldn't stay in the room alone while my sibblings were watching with loud volume.

Fast forward to this time I am married, so many times I have pleaded with my husband not to leave me alone in the room but he loves sleeping in the parlour just because of television.

He works and comes home past 8 pm and just refuses to leave the sitting room because he wants to watch what he missed during the day. Most times he sleeps there. Countless times after tossing up and down , I go and wake him up to come sleep. Sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn't. The only time he sleeps in the room is when wants to have sex and after that many times, he goes back to TV.

Note that I keep my house spotlessly clean infact I am a neatness freak, so it's not because of untidiness. I have tried to use dialogue told him severally that if I wanted to be sleeping alone I wouldn't hv gotten married. Still no improvement.

Now it's affecting my health severely because I now suffer harsh migraines and my heakth is failing due to the fact that i only get to sleep around 4 am when my eyes are too tired to be afraid.

At a point i started taking matress to the sitting room to sleep , but the sound of the TV doesnt help. In addition he leaves the lights on without being security conscious of the night.

I am seriously contemplating leaving him to go to my family house or just going somewhere that i can have someone around so that I can get some healthy sleep time, as I don't know what else to do. In addition we agreed that no one should come leave with us.

I need mature advice. He is the type at NEVER Listens. Dialogue hardly works, nagging him is the worst. Please advice

Why not have a budget?. Immediately you receive ur salary, use like 15-20k buy foodstuffs and stock and manage for the month. cooking by ursef is more economical. Just give it a trial.As far as U have footstuffs at home, even if ur salary didn't come,you won't feel it at all.

Dt was then bro cooking is sooo expensive nw esp if u are cooking for only yourself the cost of foodstuff nw is high coupled with cooking gas n kerosene.

Eating out is more economical but u have to locate d buka dt matches ur pocket, getting a plate of food #200/250 is still possible.

I am a stay at home mom, for now. I was laid off from a teaching job while pregnant and decided to use this time to care for our 8months son. In the beginning there was never an issue with one persons money being his or hers it was always ours.

Now after a year and a half anything I spend becomes an issue. When we talk about money he talks about working his a.s.s off, having nothing to show for it, because I'm spending HIS money.

Surprisingly, I don't even shop. Every once in a while I may purchase something for the home or something our kid need. I'm almost tempted to go on back to work, but I would like to stay out one more year until our son is of preschool age. I don't know if I will be able to make it that long.

It just seems like when you become a stay at home mom and don't earn an income you become less than, not equal, and nothing is truly yours because you didn't earn it. Just because we are at home doesn't mean we don't work, we just don't get paid for it.

U shld be helping ur man financially all these excuses of taking care of a baby is for lazy ass women. Look for sth productive to do to add to d family income this is d internet age who says u can't work from home, think out of d box and quit thinking like u r in the 18th century

U dnt beg for a living, young man go and earn a living. Even God frowns at ur type BC he said he who can't work shld nt eat.
