Evil Buhari cancelled the project even when it was a state project. Even though there was steep penalty in the project contract in case of cancellation, sadistic Buhari still went ahead and cancelled the project.

We are yet again in the days of electioneering campaigns into elective offices and while some office holders want to consolidate others are seeking out fresh mandate to lead. Among the politicians seeking to consolidate is our able and dynamic president Goodkuck Ebele Jonathan against a perpetual contender, Mahmoud Buhari.

The question we need to ask ourselves is that is there really a vacancy at the central seat of power and my answer to that rhetorical question is No.

Why?

Because there is a 'person' already on the throne that need to consolidate on his achievements.

The office of the President is a decorated office any person who can read and write with the right mental capacity will handle. Even an intelligent youngster will do the tricks since it involves taking decision on the collective advice of professionals. Executive office is a mere ceremonial symbol.

That's said. President Good luck Jonathan have the best economic team any president can assemble in the world. Men and women tasted in macroeconomics and its dynamics. People versed in fiscal policies and leakages and I ask... where will Buhari import his own economic team to rival this hands or has he become an economic expert overnight?

In terms of security, GEJ has followed the constitutional provisions to elevate military personnel and empowered them to discharge their duties. He do held meetings to fine tune their strategies and approach... What is Buhari going to do differently? Go to War leading the troop?

This administration has done more on infrastructure development than previous administration having coupled and galvanized the best technocrats, professionals to handle this end. Can Buhari engage technocrats in intelligent discussions marshalling out the best way forward or he would saddled with their professional advices?

Honestly except we want a change of person at the office, Buhari will not do anything different. He is economically bankrupt and lacks the intelligence to effect a change. Aso rock is still occupied by a well educated and intelligent fellow and we don't need Buhari to distort our economic transition.

As for me I do not need a Buhari to distort the economic policies of the government. We are currently making economic progress, will not trade that for anything. Those routing for Buhari are simply thinking Boko Haram will lay down their arms with Buhari in power since he is one of their own, they forget that will be submitting to blackmail and more blackmailers will come along with their own scheme.

Every one that witnessed those 2 years know that buhari was a dummy president who only entertains foreign dignitaries,idiagbon was the main man who was ruling and who initiated the war against indiscipline plan and implemented it. The fact that many were not born in 1983 is why it is worrying. Most people who witnessed the Buhari/ Idiagbon regime in 1984 will not vote for Buhari because they know that buhari was a weakling, ruled by his deputy. But the fact that we have so many eligible young, being fed lies online about something good about Buhari is cause for worry. Someone born in 1983 is 31 yrs old today and very much eligible to vote. We just hope they will research Buhari before voting us into slavery.

If the SW folks come online daily and keep ranting that a Buhari who overthrow a democratic government, who carried on at PTF as if there is no SW in the country, who actively supported religious fanatism by urging muslims to only vote for muslims, whose economic ideas is expired 30 yrs ago and the SW people of opposing views keep mute, then people will simply think that is the opinion of the SW.

Don't you think it would have been better to privatize these companies, Nigeria National shipping line, Nigeria airways, Nipost, Nitel, Ajaokuta steel, Nigeria Railways and save billions of dollars budgeted yearly to these comatose companies and looted by political appointees appointed to run these business failures.

Turn around and dictate to the docile VP on how to run the country and of course dictate whose pocket the country's money flows into.

The question is, will the plan work.

To work, it needs the SW voters to have a herd mentality, and vote without reasoning, just vote whoever Tinubu tells them.

Abacha Cronies went to court, leading to a long delay in the development of a prolific field due to several court cases.

Jonathan govt, sat all contending parties down and they resolved that for the cases to be withdrawn and the field developed Shell and Agip should pay more money for the Field, out of the money paid, Abacha's cronies will be compensated so as to withdraw their cases and allow for the field to be developed by Shell and Agip.

Shell and agip paid money to Nigeria government, who in turn paid money to Abacha's cronies in line with their agreement.

When did payment of agreed money by sovereign government constitute a crime. More so when such agreement is to resolve a dispute that is preventing the development of up to 25% of our total crude reserve.

But one thing I'd like to ask GEJ supporters is this: WHAT WILL THE PRESIDENT DO IN HIS SECOND TERM (ASSUMING HE WINS) THAT HE CAN'T DO NOW TO STOP THIS BOKO-HARAM MADNESS? I don't know if I qualify to be called a Jonathan supporter. But concerning your question of stopping boko haram. What I believe is that boko haram will not last beyond 2015 for the following reasons.

Boko haram is strong today because of sympathy it enjoys among northern politicians and some sections of the military. If Jonathan win they will simply see it that they have lost the game plan and start thinking of another way to get power in 2019. Northern support for boko haram will wane then and Goodluck will not really have to do anything different to defeat them then.

Another thing is that after 2015 Jonathan will no longer be needing any vote from anyone so he can step on toes without fear. This will be similar to what Obasanjo did in his first tenure. He endured atiku until after winning the 2003 elections. Then he showed atiku his true colours.
So post 2015. You will more likely see a more assertive Jonathan.

But for me he should have started stepping on toes all this while even if they gang up and ensures he doesn't get a 2nd term

Would have liked it better if Jonathan has used the power of the presidency to put some people in their place. I am disappointed in him because of that. Though if he had done that some people would have called it witch hunting, but I would have preferred that.

As for Buhari, nothing will make me vote for him. For one, he is a weakling, who was tossed about by Idiagbon, his deputy in the 80's .

And Buhari knows nothing about economics. In today's world, simply signing a wrong trade treaty can easily put a nation in economic slavery for years. I can never trust Buhari to make the right economic decision. Even his personal life is an economic failure. Why should I entrust the economic future of my children in the hands of an economic failure.

And Buhari never really care about anyone in the south. His very lopsided PTF projects and selective jailing of southern politicians in the 80's are just too glaring to be ignored.

I used to have a high opinion of the south westerners, however some issues about them have simply made me to look at their reasoning more critically. How can the south west who sold the number 3 position allocated to them turn around and accuse someone else of marginalising them?

When you try to reason with them, they quickly tell you that they were the greatest critics of their son Obasanjo during his tenure, but they conveniently forget that during Obasanjo's 2nd term election, AD the then Yoruba party adopted Obasanjo as it's presidential candidate. I wish they can show the same amount of criticism towards Goodluck by adopting Goodluck as APC's candidate.

Not to worry, if the Yorubas in this day and age feel an illiterate Buhari is the leader fit for Nigeria and help in installing the illiterate, everyone including the Yorubas will suffer the consequence of an illiterate ruling the most populous black nation of earth

Said NNPC: “It is sad that General Buhari, one of the founding fathers of the NNPC who himself has tasted of the virulent but false allegations deliberately concocted to cast the corporation and the public sector management of the nation’s oil and gas industry in bad light, would be the one to allege that NNPC runs two sets of account books, one for public consumption and another for insiders.

“We consider General Buhari’s allegation in bad taste as it is nothing but a deliberate political mischief calculated to cast the corporation in opprobrium all in a bid to shore up his political capital.

“We find it difficult to understand how a former head of state who has also served as minister of petroleum resources could believe that NNPC keeps two sets of account books to perpetrate fraud, knowing that NNPC is the most audited and scrutinised agency in the country.

"In the past one year alone, the corporation has had its books scrutinised and audited by the senate committee on finance and an external auditor, PriceWaterhouseCooper (PWC). Is it possible for the accounting discrepancies insinuated by General Buhari to escape the attention of such internationally-acclaimed auditors? “And in any case, why would an alleged fraudulent corporation keep two sets of accounting books knowing that such could be used as evidence against it?.”

The statement continued: “We hereby state emphatically that NNPC neither keeps two sets of account books nor is aware of the existence of such as the corporation is run in line with international best practice.

“If General Buhari believes such false information that are usually the subject of beer parlour gossip was true, would he rather that the Nigerian public believe that the allegation of missing $2.8 billion oil money against the NNPC under his watch as minister of petroleum was true?”

It therefore asked the Nigerian public to discountenance the allegation as there was no iota of truth in it."

This looks more like APC primaries in Rivers State was abandoned by aspirants. A viable party is supposed to have several people struggling to get the nomination for a wealthy state like Rivers.

I am suspecting that other aspirants are annoyed with the selection process and decided to stay away.

Internal democracy during candidate selection is a key component of a winning party.
