GenBuhari: I am not saying that we need the whole 50,000MW from one Dam.You are becoming a bit sober now. Allow engineers to advice you. Building power dams require natural resources, in this case water and Mountains. If you don't have both there is nothing you can do about it. That is why no one is talking of dams in the Niger delta although they have the most amount of water, there are no mountains there per se. feasibility study of this dam was done 20yrs ago, if there are bigger prospects they would also have been documented somewhere, you can help and search if there are documented better prospects that exist. Remember the Manbilla dam will provide over 3000 mw when completed so if this dam is designed for 700MW it only means that is the capacity it can support. The Northerners complained the majority of the NIPP power projects were gas based and as such were sited in the south, GEJ is trying to make the North believe we are all one hence he is also building dams in the north. Just appreciate his effort and criticise constructively |
gunuvi: @op, he is not begging GEJ, he is rather trying to fool gej the more. Haven't u heard of the mafia's law-be close to ur friend but be closer to ur enemy..all na wash.If you believe this then you will agree that Amaechi is not wise. Why did Ameachi not keep his enemy closer? Aliyu is saving his neck |
We have over 40 billion dollars in external reserve. Tell boko are rams that we don't mind spending a good part of that money on eradicating them. You can't quantify human life, Boko has been killing Nigerians with impunity |
GenBuhari: River NigerYou see yourself? Where on Nigeria's side of the River Niger do you have enough elevation and water flow rate to build a 50,000MW dam? Even Kaiji dam that was built on a water fall on the River Niger has an installed capacity of 760MW and struggles to get water all year round to function efficiently. Kaiji with installed capacity of 760MW has a lake 135 KM long and 30km wide, Imagine how big the lake will be that will generate 50,000MW and how many villages will be submerged. You can as well tell the govt to put gigantic turbines on the gutters in PH, afterall water flows through those gutters |
GenBuhari: A little country like Congo is building 25,000 MW damOn which river in Nigeria can you build a 50 GW dam and power plant. While you are scratching your head to name it, remember your need enough water volume and enough elevation. And also think about the people that will be displaced by the lake that will form behind the dam. Now tell me, which river |
GenBuhari: just 700 MW?I said it, One of the mischievous ones ![]() Go back to the thread where they are praising construction of 10MW in Lagos Obviously 10 is higher than 700 to you |
APC crew will avoid this thread like a plague But the mischievous ones will still look for something to criticise with the report |
UR TALKING NONSENSE.NOBODY CAN DO WAT DIS MAN HAS DONE BELIEVE ME.
Done as in what exactly |
This is not what amaechi wants to hear now |
Are you sure you are not the one who called the husband? In your previous post you said only the 2 of you live in the compound and whatever they are doing you hear it from your room. I take it that being the only neighbour, you are the anonymous caller |
Lusola15: Well said. Its simple line up behinde who u voted for. If gov amechi won u should have 19 gov behinde himYou mean open ballot system AKA option A4. It won't work. The traitors and fear fear governors can not openly go against the wish of their big oga. They can vote in secret against what they all agreed to do but can not stand openly as men and stand by their decision. With tons of skeletons under their cupboards, they have to tow the lines of their leader publicly else EFCC will be calling |
Really?? |
wealth brings peace. scarcity or threat of scarcity brings about heightened competition and war. so in the future with lesser resources, there will be more wars. this can be averted if we can find a way to reduce the gap between the haves and have nots. so i do not subscribe to your reasoning |
From who |
What if I don't have all these qualities you are quoting. Assume I only know am making 10,000 naira profit now and in 5 yrs I want to be making 1m, how do one go about it. Hope you catch the gist, proffer solutions. |
ok |
Taken back from an investor that wasnt performing.
why was the investor not performing, that should be the most important question. Almost all govt companies privatized by IBB and Obasanjo regimes are dead. All private business men want to make profit, and if they buy cheap companies and these companies goes under it shows that there are other problems which are not being addressed. |
they shouldn't plant a smoke bomb in the venue and turn around and accuse Jonathan of trying to kill them. We all know campaigning for 2015 should not be started in 2013. perpetual electioneering will not bring the country any good. 2011 election is over, 2015 election is still far ahead, no campaigning in 2013 |
Its is worthy to note that a senator is praising the president. And from the report seems excited that a company has been taken back from an investor. I just hope they have a plan to make that contraction called ajaokuta to work. Someone need to study how those in eastern Europe were able to keep their soviet era factories functional till date. Ajaokuta might just be a doomed project. Might just count our losses and move on. Maybe encourage private guys to build and run multiple little plants instead of the gigantic ajaokuta steel complex |
that's why the wise ones will tell you there is no development without peace. now a large portion of their monthly allocation will go into maintaining the soldiers that will be killing their children. I hope this will be another incentive for the Northern elders to fall behind the president and stop the Boko madness quickly |
chino11: Am equally sarcastic. But u need to grow above poverty to enable u get a car even if na motor so that it can shield u from sun and rain. This life is short u cant spend all ur life treking and suffering. Just wish we could meet before I return to my base so that I will look at areas I could assist.O boy e be like say you get small pepper. Which room you dey, lets meet. We can arrange someome to kidnap you small. Make them beat that pomposity from your head. |
JAJIKAMI: ideylaff: Political Hullabalooo, they are quenching some monster they created behind the scenes to give credence to Mr President... Like America going to war a year b4 elections..weve seen it all b4See conspiracy theory. O boy you need to get real, life is actually moving on. |
Akpan107: North have plenty of meat! Dont allow the cow rich Northen states to see your comments, because there will be no more meat for again.Do you know the amount of meat that can be raised by the money from just one oil well in a year? My friend forget meat. GEJ We are behind you. Pound them to pulp, but remember to leave an avenue for the country to split. Thats the wish of the majority of your people. Nothing can be as fulfiling as being free of parasites. |
Pipsland78:This is Nairaland AKA Nigeria land. Union is by force, Else why do you think Nigeria has not broken into multiple countries. Come into NL and Stay in NL land. No quitting ![]() |
I do not think Jonathan ever wanted to unleash the full military strenght on any nigerian. It takes a lot for a Civilian government, brought into power by the vote of the people, to turn the guns of the government against his people. GEJ hoped the terrorists will see reason and stop the mayhem. That obviously did not work as they misconstrued his relunctance to engage them to be a sign of weakness. only a fool will call any Nigeria or African President weak. Most African leaders have alot of power vested on their seat that they can overun all opposition, unless such opposition is aided openly by western powers. It is good that the President has decided to engage them for what they are. Whether Nigeria comes out of this victorious is waiting to be seen, but one thing is sure, a lot of the terrorists will die, that alone is ok by the majority of the citizens. |
This is rubbish sentencing. The real culprits were not charged and are still free to continue their criminal acts. Producers of paracetamol in Nigeria run one risk all the time. They can be tricked into buying ethylene glycol in place of propylene glycol. Ethylene glycol used as car radiator coolant is very cheap compared to the expensive propylene glycol required in making paracetamol. Criminals sell ethylene glycol as propylene glycol and each time they succeed children normally die from the consumption of the paracetamol produced from the ethylene glycol since the end product of ethylene glycol metabolism in the body is poisonous oxalic acid. What the court has done is to punish the victims of the fraudsters who were tricked into buying cheap ethylene glycol as expensive propylene glycol. |
mamikky: “All law abiding citizens are advised to abide by the curfew,”See invitation to BH in the statement. All law abiding citizen obey the curfew, Boko comeout and fight, do not obey the curfew ![]() Fight don set, lets see the winner |
They wanted to go back to the stone age, saying western education is sin, I guess not having mobile phone network should not be a big problem to them |
EmekaAfrica: Many thanks OP for this great expose. However, how can you help me advertise a property at my care with title documents and it is gazetted? It is a 100 plots of land(less 4 plots)@ ayoboYou want someone to advertise your expensive land and you decided to quote the whole post. Why not pay for nairaland advert |
