Subomi007:
You mean enrollment number? Yes I collected my enrollment number written on a paper.

enrollment number is not passport number. These are two very different things

mhizzcherry:
Hello everyone, I have a question please. Would they ask to see the original state of origin certificate? I only have photocopy with me as I lost the original in an accident,so should I just do another one

do h have a passport before? If this is a fresh passport application I advise you have your original state of origin with you.

nonye6194:
I'm team 94' so affidavit or age declaration won't work for me

where is your birth certificate?

Oyehomie:
Hi members... I will be going to Alausa NIS tomorrow for my interview and probably capturing...DIY... My interview date was 9th of February, but I wasn't chanced. My documents are ready, but the commissioner for oaths stuff na wettin remain be that... Please, is anyone equally getting interview tomorrow!

So u have not stamped ur guarantor’s form in the court?? And you are diy? So why are u going there without doing the basic thing needed? 500 naira to stamp ur paper and u have refused to go stamp itxxx when you reach pasprt office and they start acting funny to you, then claim u dnt know why.

Guru9ja:
same here osogbo office. I paid foe the express way. Still waiting cos no booklet. As soon as there is booklet, am getting mine

You see the problem. You lots go on to pay these criminals huge amounts for money for ‘express’ as it were and you still end up waiting for months like the rest of the people for same passport... when will we learn?
Morning till night bribery and corruption... dey have collected ur money plus excess ontop still no passport

nonye6194:
Thanks so much for clarifying this. Now about the birth certificate she got, I thought attestation is what is given to folks above 18? And where in Alausa did she get this done cos I'm considering going there for it. Lastly, my capture center is Ikoyi, can I get the birth certificate and do the capture thingy in Alausa or I just get the Certificate and head to Ikoyi? Thanks

For those born before Dec 1992, you can get a passport with age declaration without any hassle. Infact most people before then use affidavit of age declaration in Nigeria to confirm date of birth. Our parents and uncles and aunties, most dnt have birth certificates and quite a number have International passport- they got it with affidavit of age declaration

drpat1:
You mean it can be renewed even if it's more than six months valid?
I didn't check how many months it is till August.
Was your old passport still valid? How many months was remaining? Was it more than 6 months? Because as of 2019 it was impossible, only if the pages are full.

the law states that u can renew when u have 6 months or less left on ur passport without providing any reason.. and if u have more than that you must provide strong reasons. Yes I have done this several times in Nigeria and outside Nigeria without knowing anyone.

Then this poster has less than 6 months left on his passport, pls go back and read his question.
His passport expires in august and he wants to go in March to renew it. He is safe. March to August is 5 months pls. Thank you

Ibm08:
Its only 64pages that is available in ikeja alausa.

For renew is 60k.

Processing time is 3 working days.

Requirements
Old passport
Nin

64 pages is actually 36k official price for enhanced e passport and 23k for e passport, non enhanced.
That’s what is taken by the bank during payment, any extra money is a rip off.

tumiabbey:
Hi guys.

Quick question, would really appreciate guidance.

If someone got married after she was offered admission and plans to travel with her husband as a dependent.
Does she need to mail the school to edit her name on the offer letter maybe with proof of marriage like court certificate and wedding pictures?
Or she can proceed to apply for her visa with her maiden name and simply attach the court documents during visa application.
Please kindly advice. Great ones

u can apply for visa with ur maiden name. Change ur name on your documents whenevr you want, it is not compulsory

Lordsagna:
Hello gud evening....I need your help on this, I'm taking SAT exam but they said we need photo ID when I checked it means international passport so there's of 32 page and also 64 page I'm confused on the one to choose also what's the cost?.

32 pages is what u should select. NIN states it is 26k for 32 pages and 36k for 64 pages
In non-NIN states it is 17k for 32 pages and 23k for 64pages

drpat1:
Yes you can but only at NIS headquarters Abuja along airport road.
Don't waste your time and money going to another branch.

this is not true.. passport can be renewed anywhere and any office
I have renewed my passport in different states pls

Abeeb1995:
After capturing do you have your passport number?

no

mrnelsono:
please guys my passport expires in August, but I want to renew it because of my plan. can I renew before the expiry date. NB: u can't travel with a passport that does not have up to 6 months duration on it. answers needed please

U can renew it from upto 6 months before expiry date and no Immigration officer would ask u anything .. we are entering March tomorrow and the said passport is expiring Aug, you are very good to go

blizard44:
Is there a way I can possibly get the passport without the guarantor form and State of Origin paper?
I've wasted days roaming around Lagos in search for my Liaison office to no avail.
It's getting frustrating.

first timer? No! U need the both if applying for fresh passport. U can also try your LGA.
U can present certificate from ur lga. If u hve anyone in ur community they can go to the local governmnt headquarters to ask for it. It’s usually easy breezy

Ikenga12:
Sir, please can you help me answer this?
Please, since the Enhanced E passport,is the data on the old E passport still retained in immigration database even after the introduction of Enhanced E passport? I made a terrible mistake on my date of birth when I did my E passport.
I did my e passport in 2009,never used it and it has expired and is currently lost.
Can I apply for a fresh Enhanced passport with a new date of birth from NIN since there was some mistakes in the old, missing, expired and never used before e passport.
pls somebody should help explain to me.

did u do biometrics for ur 1st pssport? I believe ur details are stored on the database? I dnt know though Nigerian system fit get small corner to bypass this as we know 2009 is a long time ago and maybe their data saving skills then might have had some lapses.
Any which ways, I am sorry I dnt know how u shud go about this. If u have spare money, which is spare 26k... u might want to try your luck.
Disclaimer: I am only giving suggestions and do not know if this will work or not, proceed with caution.

Growingboi:

SC31:

Lynkings:

The last time I checked the old e passport without NIN was still very active. I planned doing this for my wife as she is having issues with NIN data modification

richhills:
I have two questions.
First, can I act as a guarantor for my 2 years old daughter?
Secondly, I will be renewing my passport for the second time, I didn't use guarantor the first time I renew. Will I need a guarantor?

u dnt need guarantor for your 2 years old child. Click on my name and find my comment on the requirements for passport for a child/minor.

evenda:
ok, guys, i need your input on this, i know before applying, i couldn't get concrete advice off here as it wasn't straight forward.

so my MIL got a refusal , but we intend applying again.. see refusal letter attached.

History,
she is a fulltime pastor, so no salary and doesn't work elsewhere.
she only gets some small money from us monthly and maybe ftom some generous members as well.
so because she isn't paid a salary, I've put unemployed but stated she got regular allowance from us up to 150k/yr.
We mentioned this in the cover letter that it wasnt always regular and submitted proof of these payments to her.

We didnt include her bank statements as we didnt think it will be necessary and any large free will money from others can raise alarm.

So now we want to apply again.
1. do we say self employed or still unemployed? and put her bank statements but also annotate transactions from us to her with detailed explanations. if self employed, does she need to provide proof of this employment?
2. do we say unemployed and say no other source of income, so no bank statements? doesn't that just muddle things up as we've put yes in the previous application.
looks like refusal was mainly on her other income source, no issues seen from our side and it's fully sponsored trip for 45days
some1 please help me with advice or ideas o.
thank you

is she married? Is she your MIL truly? I mean did u show family tie?? Does she have other children in Nigeria that can draw her back home? Think of any other tie as truuuuuuly her economic ties are on ground zero. Also 150k naira committment to her from u in a yr? A year? This is small. Puts this at 12,500 a month roughly. .... in my opinion this economic status is zero as per what u declared sha
Howver the ECO did not say the money is the p. He said he did not find the source of these funds that is said to be her other regular income. This 150k, he cudnt trace the origin plus she is unemployed.

damoceile:
thanks for the heads up sir... I will try it then..
as for the birth certificate from NPC somebody here said he got his for ₦7500

go and bargain ur own... the person was badly duped. It’s not even upto that. And he is in bayelsa.. different offices... different rates... some people even pay less than 2k.

Udapod:
Pls how much is 10 years fresh passport and what documents do i need to submit?

70k

champagne00:
Hello please can anyone help tell me the requirements for passport renewal in nigeria, will I be needing NIN for renewal?

Pls try and read small on this thread. Few pages back for the requirements.
U will need NIN compulsorily if u are applying in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt

Growingboi:
Thank you for the response.

The online form has just surname and no space for maiden name. I'm asking the name that should be on that space(Husband's name or old surname)?

Pls put the surname u want on the new passport on this form.. like the last person said it should be ur husband’s surname as you are doing a change of name.
Also every passprt app form has space for maiden name.. check well

damoceile:
hello house I want to apply for the Nigerian passport, but I'm kind of confused with birth certificate thingy cos I was born on 5th of Dec 1992(and its stated in the guidelines that people born from the december 1992 would only make use of birth certificate from NPC). I only have the declaration of age, I don't know if I should still go ahead with the registration online... and I hope it won't affect my application via DIY?

u can go ahead with ur declaration of age document but keep in mind if it gets rejected, u might have to apply for a birth certificate from npc. Depending on ur bargainin power u can get it for 2k or less but try ur best u shud be able to use the age declaration.
