Just start. Read a few pages back to get the advise if it is for fresh passport or if it is for renewal.
Make sure ur documents are complete when u want to do it yourself. Already the pepper body of those people is on an alltime high but do not give in. Start the process early. Good luck

I am preparing to submit my study visa application. I got admission for September 2020, last year, and I opted for studying online as a temporary remote learner to resume 2nd semester this year. My university just issued me a CAS this week and I'm planning on applying next week. I am self-sponsored.

Is there a need to state where I got the funds from like using a "gift of deed letter" from my parents or something?
Is there any need to submit a work reference letter (or any work-related doc) for the visa application?
In my 28-day bank statement, there was a deposit of 300,000 naira from my mum, Is there any need to explain this pls?
Is there a need to attach a cover letter explaining how much I have paid and how much I have for the application, or that I wanna have started online remotely as given by the school?

gtb uses 576.
Best banks with manageable rates are gtb, first bank, ecobank and zenith bank which exchange pounds for 580 and below and USD for 420 and below.
As for uba, fcmb and access bank you will cry

U can however apply for the visa at least 6 months before start date, so yes you can send in your application by March 21.

Call KLM on 01277 8050 and any other of their numbers you can find. I remember Nigerians were to be waived of providing transit visa till February something, not sure of when in February.

I have finished everything concerning my niece's application to visit , all my documents are here with me and she has a letter from her university with her but am wondering if it's a must to courier my payslips, tenancy agreement, Invitation letter etc to her in naija though I've done all the upload here. justwise, does UKVI have any certified translator? My kids birth certificates are in potuguese and needs to be translated. Also, what is the acceptable passport validity before applying for visa because one of them has a passport that expires in less than 3 months.Thanks.

If u live in Abuja, they have these certified translators close to the Min of Foreign Affairs or u call up the embassies and ask, alternatively you can use any translator in your city as long as you can confirm they are certified, that’s all. I have submitted translated documents to embassies at different times, I dnt think I went through too much hassle.

I have been at NIS office since morning, saw my file on the table in the morning and the interviewer promised to call me soon. Only for me to go back there, and my file was missing. We spent the last 3hrs ransacking the whole office to find my file. They finally found it. Only for me to find out during the interview stage that I cannot be captured today cos my guarantor's form has only one passport. The hell.! On that same form the guarantor was asked to present only one passport.!

These guys are so good at frustrating somebody. I spent the entire day at NIS office to achieve nothing! I hate this system! �

Guarantor usually submits only one passport photo.
Pls can u report this to servicom or at least go through the servicom desk.. ?? So sorry. This is the corruption we are fighting... just carry 2 passprt photos when next u are going there.

E passport 5 years of 64 pages in Lagos, Abuja and Ph is 26k.
Make sure you do the payment yourself, if you go and give those officers, what they do is apply for 32 pages at 26k, chop ur 14k and keep quiet.
They will prevent u from knowing what they paid online for you after collecting your money... until the day of your collection you will see 32 pages.. then they’ll lie that it was a mistake from HQ.
what else will u do but carry ur 32 pages and go

In my NIN the name I used in registering was e.g Kolawole Chukwuma.... My last name was omitted .... I hope it will not be a problem when applying for a fresh passport....(Names where spelled correctly).

It will be a problem. Go and add ur last name to ur NIN. Officially this costs 500 naira.

Just get your own phone bill statement, whatever happened during that part of the day and the call didn't get through to you is not your fault and you can’t take the fall for circumstances that were obviously beyond your control.
The UKVI are not gods and they do make mistakes that’s why even the worst of immigration situations get overturned as long as you can prove your case.

The issue with you is that you are looking for what you want to read, not the truth.

Someone had exactly like your case last year, complained and got phone record from MTN and everything. Just like you, he went for admin review and it came out unsuccessful after 2 months. The reviewer just told him he saw that he was called according to their own record and he didn’t pick, so therefore, the refusal stands.
After the AR, they gave him an option of a judiciary review in the court of law. (do you really want to go to court with ukvi? ) I actually got a closer knowledge of the admin review process because of the guy But hey, don’t take my word for it.

Added: Incase you’re wondering if it is village people, let me give you an overview of what happens.
ECO receives your application, accesses it and if he wants to interview you, he ask the ECA to send a non straight forward application mail to the applicant and subsequently the interview mail. On the day of the interview, the ECA calls you to be interviewed and if you don’t pick, he’ll tell the ECO, I have tried to call lagbaja and he didn’t pick. Before refusing you, the ECO double checks with his ECM that, see oh, we tried to interview this man and he didn’t pick. Then the ECM wouldn’t have a choice but to approve the refusal. And just like that, 3 people are aware that you didn’t pick.

leave him alone!! U have told him what to do more than 5 times!!u are not an ECO, allow the young man decide. U have dropped several msgs ontop one matter. Let him make his choice
