jamesversion: When his comment causes ethnic conflict in Rivers state that is when you will know the nature of his folly. But we Riverians are more emotionally mature than Deltans, that is why we don't have bloodshed everywhere like Delta. Let him face Delta state, they are not in a better position compared to Rivers.

I disagree with a lot of Tinubu's policies but I can't insult him. No matter, what he has said is not far from the truth. You may not like it doesn't mean you have to insult him

It's better Wike calm down and talk with Sim if not the embarrassment would be too much, all these guys would be the ones fighting for Sim to win elections in 2027, but the way Sim is going I don't see any candidates beating him in any elections in 2027 and beyond. Ofunaofu: The Rivers State High Court has invalidated the amended Local Government Law proposed by the Martins Amaewhule faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The ruling was delivered in a suit numbered PHC/1320/CS/2024, which challenged the extension of tenure for LG chairmen for six months after the expiration of their term.
Justice D.G. Kio, presiding over the case, declared the amendment invalid, citing its inconsistency with the 1999 Constitution and Section 9(1) of the Rivers State Local Government law No. 5 of 2018.
The court emphasized that the applicable law governing the tenure of local government chairmen and councillors is the Rivers State Local Government Law No. 5 of 2018, which stipulates a three-year tenure.
The attempt to extend their tenure through the enactment of the Local Government Law No. 2 of 2024 was deemed unlawful and contrary to their oath of office.
The ruling marks a victory for Enyiada Cookey-Gam and six others who challenged the extension, asserting the primacy of constitutional principles in governance.
Righthussle: INEC please do the needful, though I know Wike's men will still win the election.
Under which party would they win? They're no longer in PDP and Amaechi faction wouldn't give to them, they will fight themselves and lose our eventually.

Titusele87: 2027: Ex-PDP Lawmaker Cautions Stakeholders Against Going Into Merger
Titus Maduako Eleweke
A former Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon.George Okoye has cautioned the party's stakeholders against the party going into merger arrangement ahead of the 2027 general election.
He rather stated that the party current political misfortune is lack of credible leadership, and called on the stakeholders to enthrone a leadership that would work for the interest of the party, and, not those who rather pursue selfish ambition.
Hon Okoye who was a presidential aspirant under the All Progressive Grand Alliance ,APGA, in 2003 general election who spoke with newsmen in Awka, Anambra State on Monday said that PDP is the foundation of democratic practice in Nigeria.
He insisted that PDP is the only opposition party in Nigeria and advised that it must not be allowed to fizzle out because of inordinate ambitions of some of the stakeholders.
He said that the party leadership should sit down and restructure the party for better Nigeria rather than jumping into the "so-call new mega party".
"The leadership of the party is complacent; they are just rigmaroling, looking for direction. A mega party cannot work in Nigeria today, the only thing the PDP needs now is to resolve its leadership challenges, the former Anambra state legislator said.
He cautioned that the country must not misconstrue a credible opposition to criticising the ruling government even when it is doing well.
He said : "If the government does the right thing commend it, and, criticise it when it does the wrong thing. We have a president today in Nigeria, and, I don't think (President)Bola Ahmed Tinubu is bad. I am impressed by his performance so far, but, PDP can provide a better alternative.
"The problem with PDP is lack of credible leadership, and, once there is a credible leadership every other thing will fall in place. PDP must democratise the process of who become its leaders. Why can't the leadership emerge through a normal process that is acceptable to all? The PDP should work on its internal democracy and come out with a credible leadership" he advised.
Did you win you unit for PDP in the last elections? If you didn't then please kindly shut up 🙏.
favor914: Is Rivers state budget up to a trillion Naira?
880bn but the Rivers State money is sweet to steal 14bn every month can't be made in Abuja in 1 yr that's why the issues in Rivers State the money is the structure he has been crying about.
rantingpigs: Tinubu has made the country unattractive for foreign investments. Such a big definition of a failure Promax..
Not just Tinubu, though I don't like his administration, but it all started with Buhari, the major oil and gas projects in Nigeria started and ended with Jonathan administration. Buhari concentrated more in oil exploration in north than developing already established oil reserves in the southern part of Nigeria.
And more IOC would shift operations to other countries make Tinubu and his Ikoyi economists focus on collecting taxes.
Melagros: COMRADES, Nathenyahu should submit himself to ICC period. You called yourself a democratically elected president, are you better than those African leaders whom were declared wanted or hammered with international arrest warrant?
I love Israel but I hate Nathenyahu in person because of his power drunk attitude, if Benny Gantz is the prime minister he could have handled this war wisely
Go arrest him, Putin arrest is no longer talked about. Icc na joke forget that Pakistani not will happen
It would be hard for truce at this point, with the decamping of those lawmakers who lost their seats made things worse, they both should count their losses and move on.
Most people political career has ended especially those lawmakers
