'large deposit' is simply amount that is out of sync with the inflows in your account over time or salary. Amount abnormal when compared with the money that has been entering your account.

Boldruby:
Thanks dear.
100k and 200k was paid in by other persons while 100k and 60k was paid in by me

Honestly don't know from what range they refer to as 'Large deposits'.

Nope! Since you are not leaving the airport

FrontPageLawyer:
Good evening Great people. Been busy planning my trip.

Got Lagos-Manchester Lufthansa at 230k.

I have a 1 hour layover in Frankfurt. Do I need a transit visa?

Thank you.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 2:16pm On Sep 15, 2015
For how much?

FrontPageLawyer:
Sorted my flight with Lufthansa. Lagos-Manchester

Should I pay the Hotel I used in the application or I can do that when I arrived? I just want to be careful with POE. Thanks.

nunaija:
Good People!

Remember I was denied twice this year (February and August).

Many thank to Justwise for encouraging me to give it another shot. You are the best man!
Vicjustic... Thanks

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 8:08am On Sep 15, 2015
It's Virgin Atlantic ticket I bought.

About staying for a week coz u want to explore d city after you conclude on the business, I hear ppl do it. Dunt know if they face other issues.

FrontPageLawyer:
@Ogreene, please will need your help on this one.

Got a quote yesterday for 255k KLM.

Which airline did you use?

Travelling date is 21-24

But I plan to spend one week, but since I filled 21-24 on the application form for a three days visit, don't want POE troubles, might just pay extra $100 to extend arrival to 27th once I get in. What do you think?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 7:27am On Sep 15, 2015
Not too expensive na. I got for 185k and Iblaw got for less. Then der was dis deal dey promo for N160k. I used to see Iberia for N150 or less. Asides des, those Arabian airlines shud be cheap too.

Have you checked online?

FrontPageLawyer:
Thank you. Actually going to Manchester on a business trip.

Tickets are pretty expensive at this time, but not a problem.

2006 agent rejected

2007 agent rejected

2012 June agent rejected

2012 August agent rejected

I joined this forum 2013 and since then Justwise has been so helpful. God bless you.

2013 package application myself rejected. Didn't adhere to instruction and was rejected because my claimed salary wasn't showing in my personal statement of account.

2015 with determination, built my salary account for 6Months and with the help of Justwise, Ogreene, Iblaw. I was stamped 6Months Gbammmmmm. All my documents are 100% mine and genuine.

Moral lesson. No short cut to visa application. Agents almost ruin me.

Wish I'd known this forum all the while. Bless God I wasn't ban all the while have been using agents.

God bless Justwise

Ok. Cool. Hope by December d 1.8m won't show so u wil hv less to worry about.

askari01:
Thanks Ogreen, I won't apply now, would wait till December, cos I don't want to waste money again, that was just an eye opener.... would contact my HR that I want to split my leave periods to like 15 days and also take the rest without pay in Dec. What do u think?

30 working days is a long time oooo.

I don't knw how fast the fast-track service is. (anyone who has used dis service shud enlighten us).

For the first refusal point, by now you can address it properly. What about the second point, 1.8m deposit, wch you explained wt paper evidence but they still weren't convinced. Will ur second application shed more light on this deposit wt a stronger evidence? If not, you shudnt re-apply soon till months later wn it won't reflect. If you re sure you can, then re-apply.

Someone already suggested u shudnt use ur salary account for the car sales proceeds and others personal huge payments, this is key.

askari01:
No wahala, No rushing, I will get the value for my money the next time I reapply. But it's just sad that I have started my leave already, I applied for the 30 working days leave Becos of this trip, i've gotten my leave allowee already... Infact right now I feel like going back to work asap. What do u advice?

Nothing wrong in accepting cheques for salary payment only that it shud be explained in d application WITH EVIDENCE wch can be a letter from ur Finance dept or the cheques used.

askari01:
I tire ooo Ogreen... all these are just flimpsy excuses, I am just a worker in the company not a member of the board, if my company pays cheque, or cash, or bank transfer, who am I to tell them don't pay cash, the koko is that I get paid. Should I ask our finance department for a letter explaining all these?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 6:30pm On Sep 09, 2015
""""4. I explained in the additional information section, I told them I bought 2 cars for my self and wife as a surprise but my wife adviced we sell them to purchase a landed property which we sold to someone who remmited the funds into my account and we bought a parcel of land. I gave the bill of lading, for the 2 cars and I also gave the sales of agreement for the vehicles with the application..."""""

but the 1.8million was paid out, to buy a land....this was explained with evidence. Wouldnt this suffice. Just wondering oooo
If poster explained his other source of income very well, that is the car business, the cars sale shudnt be an issue, even tho its a lot higher dan what he earns.

iblaw:
So sad but i remember saying then that the best thing was to wait till when the N1.8m will not reflect in the statement of account

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 4:19pm On Sep 09, 2015
You mean the cheques u collected and paid in were narrated as salary payment? Hmmm.

Did you keep copies of des cheques?

askari01:
Thanks... I really understand you... but our company pays either via cheque or bank transfer, if we are not on site, they pay via cheque and we can cash at the bank and pay into out accounts, and if we are working on site, we receive our salary via bank transfer... atleast 3 salaries out of the Six months were paid via transfer and 3 were cheques cashed at the bank and I used my company's to pay in. The salary payments shows xyz Ltd march salary, both the cashed cheque payment N bank transfer.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 4:16pm On Sep 09, 2015
In as much as I want to believe you submitted a good application, maybe some things were missing. Justwise, Vicjus. and co may disagree wt me.

For response 2- u still didn't say whether u got a letter/proof from ur finance dept stating how much you earn and that you re paid in cash attimes
3- the offer letter is supposed to carry the annual pay and breakdown. Was dis so?
4- if u explained all the huge deposits, wt d bill of lading, dat shud be okay.

askari01:
1. Yes I submitted My salary account
2. My company either pay in cash if we are not on site and they pay into our accounts via bank transfer if we are on site outside town.
3. No, I only submitted the offer of employment, leave approval and introduction letter from my company with my I'D card.
4. I explained in the additional information section, I told them I bought 2 cars for my self and wife as a surprise but my wife adviced we sell them to purchase a landed property which we sold to someone who remmited the funds into my account and we bought a parcel of land. I gave the bill of lading, for the 2 cars and I also gave the sales of agreement for the vehicles with the application...
5. I only submitted leave approval, introduction letter and offer of employment.

Askari01, wot of ur aunt's application. Was she issued d visa?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 9:33am On Sep 09, 2015
His bank stmt isn't adequately funded right now. Won't be too good

belloluddy:
I really appreciate u. My husband earns 417k monthly while I earn 160k, but u know, we spend as we earn, we live in our own personal duplex and we have 2 exotic cars. Currently, my husband have around 300k in his account but once he earns his next salary and mine too, it will go over a million.
However, we budgeted 600k for flight which we already know
Do u suggest my husband should apply first for the visa since his account statement is not buoyant for now with just 300k in his account while myself and the kids apply later?
Thanks a lot

Oh my, I have been waiting to hear from you yesterday. I have some questions for you.

1) was it ur salary acct u submitted?
2) if u re paid cash at d office, did u get a letter from ur finance dept to back ds up?
3) did you submit ur Offer Letter wch shows ur annual pay breakdown?
4) was the 1.8 million dep explained?
5) what did u now explain in ur cover letter if not to clarify ques 2 and 4 angry

askari01:
Justwise, vic justice, ralphlaauren, iblaw, and others, I got my package yesterday but wasn't happy with the result, After explaining everything in my application and also in the addition information, they did as if they never read it at all. See below what they wrote in the refusal note-

You have stated that u are employed full time as a PM for xyz company earning 200K, in support of ur application u have submitted a letter from ur remployer and a bank statement, firstly considering the letter in isolation, without any corroborating evidence and noting it was issued on ur request means, it has little evidential value when accessing ur claimed income and employment, secondly I have reviewed the bank statement submitted and I can discern no regular income from an identified source, the deposit are in cash and there for the sources is un identified, I am not satisfied that the docs provided give satisfactoryevidence of ur. Employment and income.

I also not from the bank statement provided that in May 2015, three months before the submission of ur visa application u deposited 1.8M which is 10times ur claimed monthly income, from the documents submitted, I am not able to corroborate the origin of the funds held in ur bank, I am not satified that they are genuinely available to support ur visit not that the balance of this account is a true reflection of ur usual financial circumstances, This means that I am not satisfied that you have therefore accurately presented ur circumstance in Nigeria and this undermines the overall credibility of the application.

In addition from evidence shown, you also have no evidence of travel and compliance with immigration procedures similar to those of the United Kingdom, which might offset my other concerns and it's is not clear why u have chosen this time to visit the UK.

Pls let me hear ur opinion, if I should reapply or just stay put. Urgent attention required.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 9:53pm On Sep 08, 2015
Flight+ Living expenses for 4 of you shud cost nothing less than N600k. Hope you have a lot more than this in your account. The VO will consider ur account balance versus ur budget. If u choose to stay in a hotel, that's extra cost.

Still do a clear budget and post here like Iblaw suggested.

Jus tot I shud add: do not try to inflate ur account, avoid unexplained lump sums.

belloluddy:
Thanks sir, for me and my hubby and 2 little kids. How much can we have in a bank account ?
Pls like how much ? We intend staying with a friend, or will hotel be a better option ?
Thanks alot

Lol. By now you shud be talking about going to pick ur passport from Teleperformance. It happens like that, some get a response within days, others takes weeks. It all differs.

So we await d good news 2moro.

askari01:

For d 1st and 2nd, it shows you did not submit enof document, esp to back up ur income. Then again it's 5 denials we re looking at here. Did you keep on repeating mistakes or dey hv picked on something? I also think you need to clarify the diff DOB on ur passports, dey wud hv noticed.

You re meant to state d refusals in subsequent applications. If u want to put in another application, you MUST BE SURE that this one will address all those refusal points and that ur circumstances hv changed. You shud check if u re under ban b4 sending in another application.

To check if u hv been banned, @Justwise said somethn about enquiring directly from Visas and Immigration.

Cc: Justwise

Yes Thx first & Second Denials states Below ...U declare that your monthly income is 200k howeevr you hav failed to satisfy me this is the case based on D documents you have produced. Lookin therefore at ur personal circumstances,Lack of previous immigration history & documents submitted. I consider that u hav not demostrated sufficiently strong social n economic tied to ur home country to satisfy me of ur intentions in d uk.I am not satisfied dat u are residin in settled economic circumstance that reresent a reason to leave Uk.
