Normally Ikeja centre doesn't take much time for d passport to be ready for collection, average 2 days. Nah, I didn't receive any other notification after d mail dt a decision has been made. So after 2 days, I marched to d center and entered jejely, I didn't even ask dem anything. I submitted d checklist and sat down wt others, dey called my name and I picked up my passport. I didn't track anything. You shud go der first. chukwuseun: @OGreen , Thank you so much yea it is the Ikeja centre ,do you mean when you went to collect yours u didnt receive any txt message or email notification , does that mean you just went straight there hoping it will be ready and luckily it was ready or was there a way you tracked to know it was ready ? .. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 3:43am On Aug 14, 2015 |
That shud be Ikeja centre right? You re supposed to get another mail notifying u dt d passport is ready for collection. Some ppl don't get that notification (I didnt). 3 weeks wait...you try ooo. Take ur checklist and passport copy, go to the centre and tell dem you re der to collect ur passport. Make sure you go inside. If finally they check and tell you that it's not ready, pls demand to know what is causing d delay, dt 3 weeks wait is quite odd. Act pissed off. If dey tell you to come back, ask dem for a specific date. This happened to a man when I went to pick mine, d man almost brought down d roof, trust other ppl (onlookers) to put mouth . They had to take d guy to see d Manager. If u re not ready to go der soon, fill d complaints form on the Teleperformance site, u will get feedback. chukwuseun: Gurus in the house , i Greet oo .. Please i am in need of your help , myself and my hubby applied for UK 6 months visa since 7th of july 2015 and on 23rd of july i received an email stating " A decision has been made on your UK visa application. Your application will be despatched within 48 hrs. " Since the i have been waiting for either a txt or an email to inform me if it is ready for pick up and i have not heard anything , this is making it 5 weeks now , please i need to know if that emails means it was ready or i need to wait for notification ..I will really appreciate a response from the house .. Thanks |

The checklist you were given on d date of submission and copy of passport data page. Lolz, you thinking dey hv got the time to read all des fora dat much, how will they know it's him. Anyway, d guy's post is annoying. I read his post and it got me thinkn for few mins. What in heaven's name is wrong wt him: he is already using false age and wants to wed d girl JUST for papers . A young guy already complicating his life. UK is not running away, ppl still get citizenship legally, so why cnt he chill and do things right. All des short-cuts to things hv bigger consequences. But children of nowadays won't hear worry357: Well done, you boast on here that you are a LIAR with the wrong age in your passport and you are proud of this. It shud contain everything you feel you need to explain, starting wt addressing d last refusal and providing more info supporting ds new application, be very convincing and polite. Don't try to be defensive, mention the strong points you have to back up ds application. Write it like a formal letter. I typed mine sha I also mentioned my itinerary, how d expenses will go, that I hv booked a hotel in London, and hv gotten my leave from work approved, wch can be seen in d doc I submitted. Anything you say, if u hv a doc for it, put in bracket beside it that dey can refer to so so so document u hv attached. I ended by saying I hv no intention of staying back der or working der, dat am available for an interview either to provide more docs or for more enquiries if they so desire. This is wot I did, others own might be diff. colegold100: @ justwise @ ogreene, iblaw... Please what should the content of the cover letter look like? |

Yes, I opened a PAGA acct/wallet. Then paid into PAGA collection account, after wch PAGA credited my wallet wt d amount. So I logged onto the visa application website and clicked pay wt PAGA (from dos options) and paid. It went instanta! If u want to use PAGA, I advise u pay into PAGA collection account in d same back u will be transferring from. I mean, if u hv an acct in Diamond bank, den transfer money from ur DB acct to PAGA' s account in Diamond bank. When I transferred from my DB acct to PAGA's acct in GTB, I waited for more dan 24hrs, it wasn't funny ooo. I called customer care for complaints. The next time I transferred from my DB acct to PAGA's acct in DB, my wallet was credited within few mins. Tho I prefer using my credit card for visa payment olapo: Do I have to register on paga to be able to pay? |

You really don't need a UK Transit visa if you re flying to US. The process of getting d UK tourist visa remains d same as you have done in the past; fill form online, pay, book appointment and go submit+ do biometrics. The thing is for u to address the reasons u were refused and make sure ur circumstances hv changed since prev applications...if you want to apply again. Have u checked to see if u were banned. yvy1: Just for the fun of it...... What is the process of getting a UK transit visa? I was very nervous at first as per a first time traveller with a virgin passport. coupled with the fact that I'm a teacher with a take home salary of 42K . but my fiance is my sponsor. the only thing is that my fiance has been to different countries but has not been to UK nor US. Actually I applied on the 27th July ( Monday) and by Wednesday 29 th July they called my fiance to know if it was true he was my sponsor and by Thursday 6th august I tracked my app on TLs and saw that a decision has been made so I decided to check today. and it was ready. visa was issued on the 5th august. thanks to everyone ..... now I think Ikeja is quite fast. I really thank God Almighty and everyone that has contributed directly or indirectly. God bless us all.1 love... Justwise vicjustice.....more grease to your elbow...

Vous avez raison! I also explained d my salary payment structure, abt getting upfronts each quarter and den lesser amounts every month end. Then talked abt the allowances and included my Offer letter for dem to see evidence abt the breakdown of my salary. Even interest from savings and investments, I detailed all wt dates I received d credits. I used calculator no be small. . Can't be donating money to BHC. iblaw: Statement of account is one of the main reasons many are refused visa and same happened to me in my first application. After learning the hard way during my 6 months visa application, in my 2 years visa application which i picked up last Friday i wrote a cover letter detailing every deposit in both my saving and salary account. My cover letter had a table with columns for serial number, date, amount and details. I wrote out every figure in my savings account and indicated its from my salary account for safe keeping(transaction details on statement of account shows in between customer transfer) and the only huge deposit in my salary account was explained as bonus and i attached a letter to support the bonus.
So please re-apply and write a cover letter explaining every deposit and get a letter from the Finance dept in your office confirming your bonus/allowance. Also explain the 650k was for a transaction that didn't go through and you return it back to your account.
For your daughter, didn't you include her birth certificate and family pictures? Even school fees receipts too can be included to support your application.
i hope others on this forum will read this and stop donating visa fee to BHC. YOU MUST EXPLAIN OR GIVE REASON FOR HUGE DEPOSITS IN YOUR ACCOUNT.
Best of Luck |
