Do not move money around. I submitted 3 bank stmts and got my visa. You are sponsoring yourself, 2 weeks vacation will have a high financial implication, the hotel bills and living expenses. This trip will take about 4 months of ur salary, if not more; lets say flight (150k), hotel for 14 days (180k) and more money for miscellaneous. @justwise/Vicjustice,whats your take on this? kacchiz: my moving the money from gtb to fidelity is to avoid presenting 3 bank statements at the same time. cos i have 240k in fidelity, 569 in gtb and then my access which is my salary account that shows how am been paid and how i do transfer monthly savings. but wanted to present two soa that's why i thought of transferring what i have in gtb to fidelity.
i work with an airline and earns above 90k. i do transfer max of 50k monthly to my savings account which could be fidelity or gtb if i dont have expenses to make.
just wanna go for 2wks vacation when given the visa.
have been to only ghana for now. i planned going for dubai before making my uk trip, but felt i should apply for the uk first before using the cash for my dubai trip. |

First thing to note, its not advisable to move money around close to visa application time. some ppl rather take time to build their account months ahead. Avoid LUMP SUMS you cant explain GENUINELY. Having a balance of 800k is fair enough. Account balance is not the only criterion used. If you can, tell us about ur profile- monthly pay, investments, property, travel history, etc And ur budget for the trip, travel duration, is someone inviting you? The lesser the better, ur budget shudn't be too high compared to ur savings. kacchiz: that was exactly why i came here to clarify. i will include the denial stuff cos was denied on insufficient funds. with a cash balance of 800k, do i stand a chance of getting the tourist visa. my cousin wanted to transfer 500k to my account so it can cross over 1m but the condition is that i will have to transfer to him like 2days later cos he intends using it for his business trip. if i transfer the cash after printing, my available balance will be 800k.
however i want him to transfer to my gtb den i will transfer it from gtb to my fidelity (is fidelity i intend presenting likewise my access bank whih is salary account)so it doesnt look like an external person is transferring the cash cos of the visa.
is that ok? |

AKINLOX: Please i submitted my visa application on the 11th of August, i got a mail from Visainfo that a decision has been made about my application since the 25th of August but as we speak, i am yet to get a mail from tls to come and collect my passport. Can you guys advise me on what to do or if there is a way i can contact visa office about my passport? |

Lwkmd!!! @ the last few posts.
Well, Kacchiz, ppl here will tell you as it is. Worry359 aired his opinion. Vicjustice is stunned too.
It's actually annoying to see ppl ask such ques abt trying to outsmart the system. What do dey stand to gain? Most times they get caught and face ban. Who now loses at d end. Esp after hearing some ppl's terrible experiences in d past, we don't want another person (you) to tow that part. Pls come clean, it's a visa application not a sentence.
Der is nothing wrong wt saying u hv been denied visa before. Don't take offence. I hv been denied before wtout stamp, many others too. If u read ds thread well, u won't need an agent. I didn't use one too. Whatever u want to do at d end of d day, please don't cover impo details wch may affect ur application negatively, and MAKE SURE YOU SUBMIT A THOROUGH APPLICATION, avoid honest/flimsy mistakes.
All the best! |

U try ooo. Go to der centre and check for ur passport asap. I don't follow that update on d portal. That's Ikeja centre abi seems dey re like dat. BABAOYIN: Morning Guys,
I submitted my document online since August 14, while i follow it up (submission of hard-copy) since August 17th......so if i start counting from August 17th it means 15days or better still 11 working days and till now they yet to make decision while checking stage of my application online...
Ha! is this torture not too much for my mind and body ? when are they going to make decision let alone ready for collection...
Is it possible to get decision this week also collect my passport back this week ?

Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 11:01am On Aug 31, 2015 |
Justwise has answered you. You can include a cover letter addressing d refusal points and state clearly that u hv attached d outstanding docs listed. Hope u included that u get paid in cash. Ur dad shud state how much he is giving you for d trip. @justwise, I tot u said somethn abt not using a company acct to fund a personal trip Labhii: Hello everyone, I'm new here so i really don't know how this works but I'd be brief with my enquiry.
I applied for a 6 months family visitor UK visa last 3 weeks and attached the following documents with my application;
Invitation letter from my brother from the UK His payslips for the past 4 months His tenancy agreement for where he lives A copy of the front page of his German Passport My own statement of account which really doesn't state the inflow of my salary because my employer pays cash My dad's company bank account since he is sponsoring about 60% of my trip
But I got refused and the reasons are stated below;
-No reference letter from my dad stating that he would truly sponsor part of my trip and that he has access to the funds in the company account.
-No documents such as my payslips to show that i got paid by my employer and also my statements doesn't show my employer paying in.
-No reference letter from my employer stating that I am truly employed by them.
-They don't believe i truly have the funds to foot part of my trip to the UK
So i was asked to either provide compelling documents to back up my application and claims or my application would be refused if I reapply.
Please i need help on what documents should be attached when reapplying so that I don't get refused again.
Thanks in advance for your support. |

Yaaay! Better. What's d exch rate like? Now you can assist those trying to pay wt der debit cards. Using Bank cards is better. I now pay wt my credit card. After I paid wt PAGA, I knew I wasn't going to use them for visa payment again. Too high! askari01: Thank you iblaw, I have contacted my bank and to my surprise, It didn't take me 2 minutes to make payment online, thanks to you all and I pray it ends in praises. |

The travel agents know how prices fluctuate. zoomzu: M
I paid 192k for Air France to London City, my schedule DD is September, few days later it came down as low as 165k and few days after that it sky recketted to 248K. How I wish one could predict when prices comes down. I wish everyone good luck. Kudos to Justwise and other God sent angels in the house. |

Am interested in that Virgin Atlantic deal. Let me pm you iblaw: Hi @OGreene
A Travel Agent friend called me this morning, Emirates flight to London for N140,000 but i told him i will be flying into Manchester. I believe this Travel agents have a particular time of the day or a way they get cheap flights at times.
Just wondering if you are interested |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 7:04pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
Is it still $230 now?
When I paid wt PAGA, for $130 I was charged N29950. Using this rate $230 is N52,988. Cud be d high exch rate. Then I called dem up later and dey said they don't take any charges for payments, that it's the conversion rate used by bank and bank charges too.
Yes, I made a photocopy of all the docs I submitted. For each I submitted original and photocopy except the print-outs already in black and white

You re right. He shud start d letter by addressing d refusal points and mentioning d docs attached to back up his applic. worry359: You should mention their refusal so the VO does not think you are hiding facts, but they will have the records on computer. It will do no harm to include a copy.
What you MUST do is to address the reasons for their refusal and put them right. Otherwise they will be refused again. |
