Buhari Foreign Trip Yielding Result:nigerian Beans To Be Allowed Into Europe


An European Union team came to inspect NAFDAC’s central lab

– The visit is set to lift the ban on Nigerian beans and other agricultural products

– NAFDAC assures that exported goods go through rigorous screening

In what might be considered a boost to Nigeria’s export trade, there are indications that the European Union may lift its ban on the importation of Nigerian beans, Vanguard reports.

The European Food Safety Authority placed a ban on the importation of beans from Nigeria to European countries in 2015 but there are indications this will be lifted by June.

The European authority banned some agricultural produce which included beans from Nigeria, on the basis that the rejected beans were found to contain between 0.03mg per kilogramme to 4.6mg/kg of dichlorvos pesticide, when the acceptable maximum residue limit is 0.01mg/kg.

The new development came after the visit of an EU team to the central laboratory of the National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Lagos.

The team was reportedly in Nigeria to carry out an inspection on the procedures of NAFDAC to ensure that future exports of beans and other agricultural produce from Nigeria meet the standards of importing countries.

Mrs. Yetunde Oni, who is the acting director general of NFDAC, said during the inspection that the beans that resulted in the ban were smuggled out of Nigeria and did not pass through the agency. She said the ban had had a negative effect on Nigeria’s economy. “The ban was placed about a year ago due to high insecticide residue in beans but let me sound a note of caution here that the beans that were rejected never passed through NAFDAC, they were beans produce smuggled out of the country.

The ban has brought about a huge economic loss in the sense that Nigeria has large expanse of land, we have a lot of farmers that produce beans and the beans are not able to go out.” She gave her assurance that agricultural produce that passes through the agency never gets rejected because of the rigorous process it goes through before certification.

The school feeding program is feeding the masses but is in NO WAY contributing to better education. The schools are still in a bad state, teachers are not being paid, infrastructure is not provide for, books are not available, some of these schools do not even have chairs for the students, the students at senior secondary level can't even converse in English properly.

I somewhat feel the governor is just trying to win the masses over. That's all! The teachers are not paid to go home and feed their children, yet the government is feeding the pupils they are teaching.

To every parent, it is like a trade of. Pick a school that will give your child good education or pick the other that will feed the child free.

I just took a look at some of the clothes they put on her. Even her husband might not agree if he is conservative. These are clothes that expose sensitive body parts for God's sakes. I've never gotten to do heavy sites, but I think structuring your site well helps.
Example, If have a million users querying your dB from the whole stack will take time. But if have initially structured or re-structured your dB to have sub-dbs by first letters of usernames, you could just place an if statement first on a query so that you narrow down your search pool.
So good dB planning helps.

I am a known person here but I decided to change my name.

I am a banker. I was working in bank X before i joined bank Y. I had wonderful experiences in bank X. I decided to join bank Y so as to have experience there too. But ever since I joined bank Y, it has been disaster working there from the very first day I entered there. The manager has been tormenting me from the very first day he sighted me. I dont know if we have struggled for a babe b4, i just dnt knw. I am a permanent staff but this man treats me like a cleaner. The time for us to be in the office is latest 7.20am but in my first week there, i came to work by 7.17am and this man was shoutn and embarrasing me outside the bank where customers queues up to withdraw from the atm. Dat was my first bitter encounter wit him. I was brought to the branch as Funds Transfer Officer but it took this manager a full month to create me as FTO. On my Third day on the job, He connived with another bad colleague and they pushed me to the atm as ATM Custodian. This I was doing with tears because this man was just making life unbearable for me by threatening me all the time. All the jobs in the branch was given to me to do except FTO jobs. He refused creatn me and even wen i was later created, he still refuse i work as FTO. Theres sometn called cashdrop box, and its meant for contract staff to work there but this man forced me to work there for even upto a month combined with atm custodian and other cash jobs while the other bad colleague walks around pressing fones and chattn. Later in November, the Area Manager visited and said i should be returned as FTO. Ever since then, this manager will pack other peoples job on me and be embarassing me in front of customers when I dnt finish them. Whenever I tried to complain, he will start shoutn and insultn me in front of customers. This has been happening for upto 5months now. I joined this particular bank in late August and by middle of september, 6 staff angrily left the branch because of this manager and his accomplices. By tomoro, another staff is leavn becos of constant quarell wit manager. The branch has been under wicked rule by this manager and the other bad colleague. For the past 5months I have been here, its been hell. I have reduced drastically in size. Even size 30 trousers are very loose on waist now becos of so much thinkn, insults and harrasments from this man.
I have planned to resign at the end of the month becos of the evil torture of this man and the other bad colleague. Please I need matured advices becos i am almost like a walking corpse. Each week i feel sick here. One sickness or the other.
Any day i remember i will go to dat office, my mind will be filled with sadness becos theres no single day this same man will nt harrass me.

Pls mods help me. I need advices and i have made up my mind to leavn here becos each day i see this man and the other bad man, i feel like shooting them to death becos as i speak nw, the other bad man does nothn in the branch. It is an injector and not a carb.

PS: Papiwata is right. MB opted for what is called 'biodegradable wiring harness' at a point. These wires break down after exposure to heat. You can replace the engine wire harness then replace the shorted components.

The symptoms you are describing could be brought about by degradation of the insulation used on the electrical wiring loom of many Mercedes Benz cars manufactured between 1992 and 1996, when your W124 car was manufactured.

You may in the end have to replace the ENTIRE wiring harness for your engine to solve this problem. To verify whether or not the wiring harness of your car has been replaced before you bought the vehicle, look under the hood (bonnet), where the wires go into the battery compartment on the left side as you face the engine from the front. If you do NOT see a label that reads "Delphi", then the wires have NOT been replaced, and you will need to do so in order to solve the problem the car has now, and to prevent a host of other issues that will certainly crop up as further deterioration of the wiring insulation occurs over time.

Fuel, Air, Spark

Check to ensure your fuel pump is good.

Is the car an injector or carb? If carb, get it cleaned up with carb cleaner off the engine...not just spraying whilst running.

Check your throttle. Get it cleaned and adjusted to allow idle

Check for vacumm leaks. Spray little bursts of carb cleaner all around the carb and hose joints.

Is it an ignition system with contact set or a breakerless system?

There is a wire called 'the green wire'. Hope it is not damaged and fully secure.

Ensure your ignition control unit by Bosch is still OK. No water ingress etc

Do you have an air filter in place? Ensure the air filter is clean and in place. If not, it could have sucked in a whole universe of gunk.

Your spark plug wires must be okay and securely connected.

Kindly revert after troubleshooting with these steps. A picture of the engine bay would help a lot
