what a sad news, vanity upon vanity, RIP Sam, sincere consolation to the family and supposed bride. Before we crucify Nigerian police I have these questions to ask: 1. why is it that the police officer drunkenness started reacting immediately the victim got there? 2. why is that the spirit of alcohol pushed him to kill the victim alone that even when his friend was shouting he didn't pull the trigger on him also 3.Does that mean that Eloka is a suspect for ensuring that his friend attended the event, or by running away? 4. how are we sure that the police officer is drunk ( was alcohol test carried out on him) 5. how are we sure that the gun man is a police officer is it cos he is in police uniform? 6. how are we sure that the incident wasn't a calculated act to get back on the victim?
MY ADVICE TO LADIES:
It is not wrong to easily accept the proposal of a "rich" man for those that are moved by riches, but please ensure that you are 80% certain on what he do for a living and how he does it. |

Freegift75: This is a true life story
My immediate siblings are twin brothers, same mother and father. November 5, they will mark their 39yrs of age. Taiwo and Kehinde happily married and lived comfortably.
Taiwo married a banker while Kehinde married University non-academic staff. They are both devoted christians and they both live in same town.
About a year ago, we lost Taiwo in a fatal accident and left a surviving wife as widow and three kids. Six months later, as their senior brother and the breadwinner of the whole family, I summoned Kehinde to re-marry Taiwo's wife to continue playing the role of husband.
Kehinde and Taiwo's wife agreed to marry each other but Kehinde's wife kicked against the union. Kehinde only has one child and since 8yrs now nothing more.
Kehinde's wife got provoked, lashed me with demeaning words and thereby reported me to our Church senior pastor at the headquarters and I was demoted for involving in sacrilegious belief.
It's a shock today again to have received a letter from the headquarters that I'm no more needed as pastor in their ministry due to this same issue.
This is a ministry that I had spent a lot towards its growth. The land our branch was built on was bought by me alone.
Now, what is my offence? BRO U ARE VERY WRONG, BOTH IN HUMAN AND GODS EYES. KEHINDE's WIFE DID THE RIGHT THING. YOU DIDN'T TALK ABOUT YOUR OWN MARRIAGE PROBABLY U ARE IN THE BEST POSITION TO MARRY HER. MEANWHILE IF SHE WANT TO REMARRY, THERE ARE MANY MEN THAT WOULD WANT HER ONLY IF SHE EXERCISE PATIENCE |

Kaeboy: The Elders’ Forum in the Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has declared that there is no escape route for the state Governor Ayo Fayose in the impeachment process initiated by 19 members of the state House of Assembly.
The body said Fayose has serially breached the Constitution, desecrated the esteemed office he occupies and should be ready to face the consequences of his actions.
The Publicity Secretary of Ekiti APC Elders Forum, Dr. Bayo Orire, who made the group’s position known on Tuesday, also warned the military and the police against being used to hinder the lawmakers from carrying out their constitutional functions.
Condemning the military for turning back the 19 APC lawmakers from entering Ado-Ekiti, the state capital on Tuesday, Orire said the party’s elder body was concerned about an alleged open partisanship of officers and men of the Nigerian Army on the matter.
He also said the police and the Army should not be watching helplessly for hoodlums to seize the whole state and interfere with the constitutional duties of the Assembly members.
Dr. Orire explained that the lawmakers should not be blamed for signing and forwarding an impeachment notice against Fayose, saying a responsible House of Assembly was not expected to look the other way when the chief executive was overstepping his bounds.
He said Fayose has violated the oath he swore to defend the Constitution and not do anything to infringe on the rule of law, urging the people of the state not to see the action of the lawmakers as an attack on the governor but to save the state from impunity and sliding into an “irredeemable dictatorship.”
The APC elders’ spokesman maintained that whatever constitutional action taken by the 19 lawmakers remain legitimate, legal and binding since they have met and surpassed the two-third majority needed to remove an erring governor.

multicast: I am a fervent reader on Nairaland and i dont miss this forum in 1 day, i have seen people share their concerns here and a lot of people have contributed through their comments, though some are hillarious while others are on point. i will appreciate matured responses.
I did not marry a stranger to start with and its why i am very pained cuz i come here on nairaland and see how people get frustrated about their marriage based on cogent reasons but mine is different.
first of all, I got married in february and am already very tired of my wife, not because she isnt very sexy or good in bed as other may experienced but because my wife starts arguments from little things as little as why did u miss my call, even if its a BBM call thats dependent of network, after hours of begging i have to end up with uncountable "am sorry".
secondly, my wife find it very easy to engage in malice for days without bothering to reconcile, and i have to talk to her over again and make her see reason why such act is not good in marriage, for which she will later apologize and the next day or same day she is back again in another episode.
thirdly, every man love to be respected, when my wife starts her drama about missed call or other flimsy excuses, she starts talking to me like am her junior brother, calling me names and after noticing how mad i am with her, she will apologize but always repeat such act.
i feel the amount of love and attention she gets from me is too much and i am beginning to think i should make her understand what it feels like to have a frustrated marriage. though am yet to do that.
i honestly am not perfect but i have never used any harsh word while addressing her even when she is obviously wrong, i dont do so because i know the feeling when she use them for me. i wish i could anyway.
i grew up in a place where women are highly regarded and well treated and maybe its affecting me because i also help her do chores and i dont push all the house work to her as most men do.
i noticed i am always very unhappy and depressed the moment she comes up with this episodes and it may be because i love her so much and this is beginning to affect how i study and i might be forced to push her away first by not giving her attention as i used to.
My fellow Nairalanders, i respect ur opinion, hillarious ones and reasonable ones, marriage is not a bed of roses, i love my wife and i am not cheating on her, i am 100% married to her alone but her attitude is frustrating and i might have to leave her in the end. i hope i get lucky and this make FP so i can learn from experienced members before i take a decision, as we speak she has began the malice episode with me and if i dont apologize to her in 3 days, she is ready to go that far too.
she loves you just that she gets annoyed and flares up easily, she doesn't keep malice, but only needs your attention show her love and whenever she starts be a man and quench it immediately. you can have many strategies od quenching it ignore her ans when she is done tell her sorry, show her how the words she uses pains you, its not wrong to show her crowded eyes sometimes(pretend to cry) most especially avoid doing those things that makes her complain always try to be transparent ans explain things for her without asking(don't wait for her to always ask for explanations) pushing her out is the worst thing you can consider. |

Beverlyjean: Good day nairalanders , am new on this forum and I actually registered here so that I can get a credible and mature solution to my lingering emotional and relationship problem.
It goes like this; I have a bf that I have been dating for a year now and he is a very wonderful Person, he is my first love and I really love him so much because he gives me a different kind of feeling that I have never felt before , but my dilemma is that I met another guy a month after I accepted to date my bf , we were normal friends for the first one month though I never told him I had a bf until he surprisingly made his intentions known to me . This other guy has been an angel in my life and we started hanging out frequently due to my bf not being around because he traveled out of the country , this other guy has been the most loving and caring guy that I have ever met, he is always there for me and showers me with so much care love and time . He then introduced me to my introduced me to his family ( his mum and dad inclusive) and they loved me at an instant and started welcoming me and calling me their daughter . Now this other guy is 30 while I turned 21 in December and my guy is 23 . This other guy has a great job and ready to settle but his not rushing me saying that he will wait till I am ready . The problem is that I don't have the type of love he wants me to have for him , the thing is that I love my bf so much and I am not ready to let him go . My bf missed my graduation , my birthday and Val's because he had some pressing issues though he sent me my gifts through mail but the other guy was there for me , came for my grad at gwagwalada, took me to a lovely restaurant on my bday and surprised me with a lovely gift and also spent time with me on Val's day and it was so lovely. My bf is around but I see him only 3 times a month and I don't complain but this other guy sees me like 4 times a week .
I have been in a romantic relationship with the new guy although we have done something's apart from direct sex because I am a virgin . This other guy has sacrificed a lot for me but I wanna let him go because he really want me to leave my bf and stay permanently with him , but I love my bf so much and my feeling for him is not strong . He said the reason why I don't love him is because my heart is somewhere else and the moment I leave my bf , I will start loving him as long as I concentrate solely with him.
He also said that even if I leave him and my bf should later find out what I did with him , that my bf will dump me , if not now but later and I will loose the opportunity of everlasting happiness with him ( the other guy)
I care a lot about the other guy and I have feelings for him but I love my bf a lot , even though he loves me more that my bf does.
The other guy also said my bf is still young and might disappoint me in the future . I believe my bf will not because I can guarantee that he is not cheating on me and will not .
The following are the questions that keep on giving me sleepless nights :
1. Will my bf dump me if he eventually finds out bout what I did with the other guy. 2 . Will my bf or me fall out of love as we grow due to the age 3. Am I sure that he is not cheating on me or later leave me for someone else 4. Should I loose my virginity to him to prove my love 5. Will I find another lovin guy like the other guy later in life if my guy leaves me 6 . Will I leave to regret leaving the other guy 7 . Should I follow my heart or head because my heart says my bf but my head says the other guy 8. Will I fall inlove with the other guy if I stop seeing my bf?
Please help me with very mature answers because this will play a vital role in my life in the future .
Ladies that have experienced this come forth and guys that understand the way guys reason should help out pleaseeeee , because am still a novice when it comes to relationship issues. Thank you send me your email, i have two life story to answer your question, after telling you the story, you can make your choice. i don't have time to write it here because i am in the office, or better still we can comunicate on whatsapp if u so wish. i realy understand your confusion, i will tell u my experience, my freind's experience and a colleague experience. but know you one thing " THAT A GUY NEVER KNOW WHAT HE WANTS UNTILL HE IS READY TO SETTLE DOWN" LOVE FOR FRIENDSHIP IS DIFFERENT FROM LOVE FOR MARRIAGE NEVER TRUST ANYONE, NOT ALL LOVE ENDS IN MARRIAGE SOMEONE THAT TRULY LOVE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO EVEN IF HE DINT MARRY YOU. MARRY SOMEONE THAT LOVES YOU MORE. IF U ARE SINCERE THAT YOU NEED ADVICE INBOX ME. ONE OF THE VITAL THINGS U SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR BEFORE YOU SAY YES, IS TO WHAT EXTENT DOES THE GUY'S FAMILY CHERISH YOU. MARRY SOMEONE THAT LOVES YOU MORE. THE TRUTH IS THAT YOU "LOVE THE READY TO SETTLE' BUT YOU HAVEN'T NOTICE IT BECUASE YOUR MIND IS SOMEWHERE. IF YOU DON'T LOVE HIM, I TELL YOU BEING A VIRGIN WILL MAKE HIM TO IRRITATE YOU.
