I posted a thread in may about my fiancée I helped with 100k to start a business and she couldn't produce the capital saying she lend her dad... just want give an update of things

I took majority of the people advise here and celebrate her birthday ....got her cake,wrist watch and celebrated it with my friends and hers at a lounge(paid all the bills).

So the following week I gave in to her pleading and sent her another 50k(she hasn't produce the previous 100k capital but still promised to produce it with time) to get new set of slippers to sell .....and the agreement was she will be sending the money to one of my accounts as she is selling and the capital will be there to reinvest.

This new week I asked why I haven't seen any money in the account.....she said she have sold but she wants some people to balance her to complete 20k and by Friday she will make d deposit.

On Friday I didn't see anything....asked her why didn't she send the money (dat was after bank closing hour)....she was like she wasn't feeling too well dat she told her friend to do the transfer but is not going and she has given her the cash ...... around past 9pm dat Friday she called me if I have seen the alert I said no......the next day she said the transfer wasn't going dat her friend tried it but it was failing so I felt pissed and told her straight she was lying (arguement broke out).

So I told her if she was telling the truth and have the cash with her I will come pick d cash myself today but to my surprise she has blocked me on whatapp and bar my number D's noon.

My friends here want us to go over to her place ..... cause a scene and get her arrested but I don't want to embarrass her parents or embarrass myself.
They are all on my neck rite now like dey ginger badly

...... honestly I don't no what to do.
Just want to know if the right thing is getting her arrested or just let go and move on.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Imo State Command, has arrested one Paul Ihuaku for allegedly raping his mother.

PUNCH Metro gathered that 45-year-old Ihuaku hails from Umueke Ezagbogu in the Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

Briefing journalists on Thursday, the state Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Raji Ibrahim, said the suspect was arrested by the operatives of the corps following a tip-off.

It was gathered that after the incident, the mother reported the suspect to the youth in the area, who apprehended him and alerted men of the corps.

“The men of the command later proceeded to the residence of the suspect and arrested him,” he added.

Fielding questions from journalists, the suspect confessed to the crime, adding that he was under the influence of alcohol.

“After drinking on that fateful evening, there was a heavy downpour and I could not resist the urge for sex; so, I had to use a local pistol to threaten my mother to submission and I later raped her,” Ihuaku stated.

Asked if he was married, the suspect said he did not have the means yet, as he was not doing anything tangible.

“I was not bewitched. I was under the influence of alcohol,” he added.

It was also gathered that the incident took place in the village house the suspect is living in with his mother.

The mother (name withheld) confessed that the incident was the second time.

She said, “I was in the kitchen and saw him (Ihuaku) with a pistol. He used it to threaten me. He told me that he would kill me. I could not do anything other than to beg him to drop the gun.

“It was in the process that he threw me on the ground and it (rape) happened.

“I had to call on the youth the next morning, as the incident happened when it was already dark and damp. The youth later went to the NSCDC headquarters in Itu to report him, hence his arrest.”

Seriously, our environmental laws needs to be looked into cause this issue of noise from religious buildings within residential areas and praying on public roads are becoming a nuisance in our society.

As for the judge, she should be sanctioned as guilty for her f*olishness

Obviously you didnt read the part of the story which says that the church was allocated the land, got government approval for church use and moved to the site 20 years before the judge bought her property beside it. The judge knew there was a church beside the property she wanted to buy and still went ahead to buy it! If she knew she could not live next to a church, she shouldnt have bought the property!

A man who works as a PA has taken to social media to cry out for help after his Director at work threatened to sack him for denying her sex.

In his narration on a Facebook group, the man identified as Frank Onyekachukwu stated that he started as a driver in the organization, despite being a graduate. He was driving the manager before he was assigned to the director who found out he was a graduate and then elevated him to the position of a Personal Assistant.

I have a problem at my place of work and I don’t know how to handle it. I was employed in a company last two years as a driver though am a graduate of chemical engineer but based on that’s no job in the country I have to accept the driving job in other to survive.

I was a driver to the manager of the company for 6months and from there I got to know the director of that company a ( WOMAN ) but she is a widow, one faithful evening the company had a board meeting in EKO HOTEL which ended up around 11pm and director didn’t come with her driver that night then the manager told me to drive the director home that 9it that he can drive himself.

I did as he told me which the director started using me as her own personal driver for 2months bfor she got to know that am a graduate and she changed my position from driver to her personal assistant and pays me very well as a graduate and employed another driver.

My major work now is to follow her with company’s documents when ever she is going for a meeting within the country.

The issues now is that she is forcing me into sleeping with her which I turned her down several times and she threatened me to resign or she will sack me by herself if I didn’t agree with her conditions from the company.

The story is much but because of time I have to stop here.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has said that its members should not be held responsible if there is any disruption in the University system, as the Federal Government had not shown commitment to carrying out the 2019 Memorandum of Action.

ASUU National President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, stated this at a briefing in Abuja, to give an update on the ongoing renegotiation with the government and to clear the air over the N25billion confirmed by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, to have been approved for universities.

Ogunyemi said the N25billion was meant to be a part-payment of the Earned Academic Allowances and should have been released between February 15 and 28, 2019, as agreed. But this was not done.

A nurse who offered a bible to a cancer patient and encouraged him to sing The Lord is My Shepherd was fairly dismissed, a court has ruled.

Sarah Kuteh was given the sack from her job at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent, in 2016 for repeatedly talking to patients about her faith and handing out a bible, in breach of Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) rules.


A ruling, published last week by the Court of Appeal, stated that on June 3 2016 a patient at the hospital had complained about Ms Kuteh's conduct.

The court heard how the patient likened the incident to a 'Monty Python skit', which he said was 'very bizarre' - in which she encouraged him to sing along with Psalm 23 with her.

The ruling, which upheld a decision that she was fairly dismissed by the Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, stated: "On 20 June 2016, the Complaints Department noted a call from a patient being treated for cancer concerning his assessment by the Claimant on 3 June 2016.

"He had replied "open minded" to the question on the form concerning religion and alleged the Claimant had told him that the only way he could get to the Lord was through Jesus.

"(She) told him she would give him her bible if he did not have one; gripped his hand tightly and said a prayer that was very intense and went "on and on"; and asked him to sing Psalm 23 [The Lord is My Shepherd] after which he was so astounded that he had sung the first verse with her.

"He described the encounter as 'very bizarre' and 'like a Monty Python skit'.

The court documents also point to a number of other incidents, in which Ms Kuteh told a bowel cancer patient in April 2016 'that if he prayed to God he would have a better chance of survival'

Another complaint, again in April 2016, came from a patient who said Ms Kuteh 'spent more time talking about religion than doing the assessment', and another, the same month, came from a patient who said they didn't want to see Ms Koteh as they 'didn't like preaching'.

Miss Kuteh, a 50-year-old mum of three, was suspended from her job in June 2016 and sacked for gross misconduct in August the same year, with her dismissal upheld by an employment tribunal later the same year.

She appealed the ruling of the tribunal in 2017, but failed in her bid to have her sacking overturned, but was allowed to work as a nurse again in July last year after her working restrictions were lifted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.


Ms Kuteh, however, appealed for a second time against her sacking to the Court of Appeal - saying the employment tribunal had 'failed to consider the correct interpretation of the NMC Code and the distinction between appropriate and inappropriate expressions of religious beliefs'.

She also said the tribunal had failed to acknowledge that Article 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights - Freedom to manifest one's religion or beliefs - was 'applicable' and to 'consider the fact-sensitive distinction between true evangelism and improper proselytism'.

Judges at the Court of Appeal, however, rejected the nurse's most recent appeal, saying she was not unfairly dismissed in a ruling published last week.

The Christian Legal Centre - which represents Ms Kuteh - said she is currently in discussion with her legal team to consider her next step.

A reckless driver has killed four students of the Ugwube Primary School, Oba, Anambra State, after losing control of his Jeep while using his phone.

The tragic incident happened, yesterday, at the Old road, when the children – two of them from the same parents – were heading home.

The man, said to be driving a Pathfinder Jeep, was making/receiving a call, when he lost control and veered off his lane into the other lane before ramming into the kids, killing 3 instantly, while the 4th one died at the hospital.

Covenant University has remained the renowned awards-winning, best ICT-driven University both in Nigeria & West-Africa back to back to back within the last 10years; virtually almost all the official processes & activities within the university are executed/managed electronically via dedicated ICT platforms, and recently an electronic payment platform (called 'CUSanwo' i.e. 'CUPay') was put in place as an additional payment channel for students' school fees payment, and payment for services offered by the school such as CU Energy, CU Shopping Mall, etc.

The "CUSanwo" e-Payment platform was reported to be the University's Vice Chancellor's original research idea and concept. And soon became an adopted payment e-platform for the University, after one of the University IT/Technical support staff (by name Daniel Owolo) had convinced the VC that he could help me develop the payment platform. Afterwards, the VC packaged and presented project concept to the University's board, and approval was secured.

Going forward, The VC decided to work closely and hand-in-hand with Daniel (the "CUSanwo" developer), and sooner or later, CUSanwo became Promoted & choice platform for school fees payment.

Mr. Daniel decided to play a fast one on his Covenant University, his employer, by using the e-payment platform he developed to start diverting funds meant for CU into his own account.

And within a twinkle of an eye, his financial status and physical outlook changed: bought new exotic cars for himself and wife (also an AdminStaff of CovenantUniv), bought landed properties outside campus, bought new cars for campus "Uber" runs, chartered Choppers To-Fro Ota and Lagos, ... (even reportedly bought a N11Million worth Car as a gift to the VC, which was said to be rejected by the VC), ... etc.

Soon Daniel's office colleagues began to raise eyebrows, asking probing questions, ... yet, none could Xray him, despite not being able to imagine how a staff who roughly earns about N100k as an IT/Technical support staff, suddenly transformed financially overnight, ...

It was not until around the 2019 Presidential election period, that the University's Chancellor, Bishop David Oyedepo got to hear about the extravagant lifestyle of Daniel; The bishop was at his Polling Unit in Ado-ota to cast his vote, when the 'area boys' around started hailing him, with the hope that we would 'drop something for the boys', but when he wasn't yielding to their demands, they started grumbling, and exclaiming that, "was it not one of Oyedepo's boys that always give them cool cash, each time the guy flies to the area with his Chopper?, so why Oyedepo no wan 'settle' them na?"
This apparently caught Bishop's attention and that was how Daniel's name came up.

So without Daniel's knowledge, he was placed under surveillance and ... here you have it: N180Million of CU's money (mostly school fees) fraudulent diversion uncovered.

On the Bishop's order, he was apprehended by the internal security team of of the University, then grilled and with the hope of recovering as much as they can from him. He appeared to be cooperating with the securitu team, until suddenly a lawyer appeared claiming he was Daniel's attorney. And so the case became a state high court matter.

The matter was taken to court, only for Daniel & his lawyer to play another 'Dino Melaye's Strategy' on the court and the university. He claimed to be medically unwell, and as usual in Nigeria, the court granted him bail (but under police parole).

Amazingly, few days after Daniel was sighted moving around like a free man with nothing to fear: the police's position was that, the guy has been granted bail so since it's already a court matter, he can't be rearrested except he tries to "jump the bail"

So, the Bishop who may still be deep taken aback by this possibly 'all-time greatest' financial fraud within his camp, apparently had to resort to the EFFC to handle the matter. So Daniel is reportedly being held in EFCC's custody.

By the way, revelations coming out from the priliminary fact finding into the CUSanwo project and the N180million fraud case shows that:

The VC single-handedly conceived and executed the CUSanwo project hand-in-hand with Mr. Daniel alone, without following the University's official protocols for awarding and managing projects contracts (not even of such magnitude): usually, there are constituted university committees and panels, such as ICT/Software committee, etc. that review and examine every project proposals presented to the University; a project contract proposal defense panel (constituting of staff from all key and relevant departments and units of the university) is usually constituted to interrogate any contractor/vendor before any project contract is recommended and referred to the university management and then university board.

But in this CUSanwo case, the VC acted alone, in managing the project with Daniel.

Besides the fact the EFCC is now involved in Daniel's case, one of the many questions begging for answers among staff on the university campus remains: "How or Why would the VC single-handedly managed such huge project, without following due process or even ensuring proper controls are put in place?"

Why? How?

The minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has just finished addressing a press conference that was broadcast live by the NTA, Radio Nigeria and Voice of Nigeria. He said:

1) President Buhari will be sworn in on May 29th.

2) The inauguration will be a low key event.

3) All the foreign dignitaries that would have been invited to attend the inauguration will be invited to attend an event on June 12 (Democracy Day).

4) Both May 29 and June 12 are public holidays.

The Badagry Expressway. Residents defy the rain and went out to protest against the bad roads and the government's silence over their plight.

The Badagry expressway road has been a death trap to all residents especially those going towards the trade fair, Alaba International, Mile 2, they are all major death traps as the construction companies have abandoned them and left the roads in a bad shape.
