I would say from when child (irrespective of gender) can financially stand on their own two feet. By this I mean make enough to pay for accomodation, bills/living costs, saving/investing and leisure ALONE, without having to ask for handouts/borrow me from family. I would add mentally able to cope without parents too. This can be 18, this can be 27. At home at 30 is against my personal fundamentals.

Because this was a surprise. Thankfully elections done so we can go back to our normal lives.

I am thankful that I have a job interview tomorrow morning. If it goes to plan i'll be back in employment after a 1+year of unemployment so i'm thankful that tomorrow there is the opportunity to get my life back on track.

I am having trouble with state of origin. My parents are from different states in different zones in the country. Which state of origin do I go by? I know of the Local Government Areas, can I go to my fathers LGA office to confirm that said state is my state of origin?

This is an incredibly flawed idea and will only open door to illegal betting schemes (look up moonshine and apply same logic). Outright banning of anything never works. A wise man/system would curb the number of gambling shops being opened in the country (more specifically the lower income communities) and raise awareness on gambling dangers then combat what drives gambling (joblessness is one example) in the first place.

To just ban because "the effect on the youth" and to then say Nigeria should follow same ban is foolish.

Maybe Nigeria does deserve to be where it is today and where it is going.

So you work a long period of time or a lifetime, just for you to reach that end road and be told all that money you accumulated for pension/savings is worthless. Tragic stuff. May we live to see Africa have her day.

Agreed. Several people I know who've worked night shifts whether on a call centre desk, stacking supermarket shelves or in a fast food restaurant all complained of bodily pains & sleep problems. May all night workers see the fruits of their labour.

I get your point but people react differently to certain situations. If good samaritan took matters into his own hands after taking pictures the evidence could be lost (we know antics of religious "leaders" in this country). I feel good samaritan and police did good and ultimately the right thing.
