Why dont you just forget PDP or APC and lets deal with the corrupt persons. Stealing is now corruption no matter which side of the divide the person falls into.
Oh stealing is now corruption in the eyes of a president who said Abacha was not corrupt? Stealing is now corruption according to a president under whose watch N8billion was stolen through TSA? Stealing is now corruption under a president that ordered National Budget to be stolen from national Assembly but for the eagle eyes of Nigerians? Stealing is corruption under a govt where N300m was budgeted for cables in the presidency? Many of you are sick mentally, intellectually and morally.

See the load of trash u just typed!

You are part of the problem we are talking about. People who benefitted from the greed of the past regime or corruption apologists with nothing positive to contribute to national development!
There is no defence to corruption. GEJ and PDP were the biggest problem of the country. Thank God for Buhari who has the courage to wipe them off and recover our monies.
Expected junk from a mindless PDP Crucifier! For your information, I would be the last person to support corruption in any ramification but what puts me off is the myopic, thoughtless, selective, vindictive and senseless manner you people lay all corruption blames at the doorstep of PDP. Vilifying and condemning others would not exonerate you from your own sin and this applies to you and APC jingoists here on Nairaland and elsewhere. Nigeria finds herself in this current position because of the contributions of PDP, APC, APGA, you and me. So, stop all these nonsense of attributing the national woes to Jonathan or PDP, after all, Buhari once said Abacha was not corrupt simply because he benefitted from his govt. May God judge you all.

This is the cesspool of shit that GEJ and his PDP goons put nigeria. What a shame! Everybody was just looting as they like without caution or care for the law.

Anyway, its not surprising. When oga at the top said looting is not corruption. That just gives green light to public officials to do as they like. Impunity at its highest!
Stop that mad talk! That's how you people run your mouths like untamed parrots calling PDP this, PDP that. Was it only PDP that ruled the country for 16 years at both State and Federal levels? Many of you would never bother to talk about gigantic fraud also perpetuated by APC in all the states under their control. Virtually every Nigerian is corrupt including the sycophants that vilify PDP on Nairaland but associating corruption with that party and leaving out APC is not only a sin, it shows how wicked, insincere and mischievous you people are. How come you and your ilks suddenly went mute on Fashola's N78m Website Scandal? What about N300m he spent on Borehole? I can tell you that's just a tip of frauds perpetuated in Lagos. Was Fashola a member of PDP? Accusing and jailing all PDP members in Nigeria, I can tell you for free, will not rid Nigeria of corruption.

What has control of Rivers and Akwa ibom state by Apc have to do with the presidency raising money? I thought the 36 states of the federation gather in Abj monthy to receive allocation or has the procedure changed? Is it not APC that controls the whole pie as it is now or what kind of politics are you discussing?
What a question! What do you think is the source of financing political parties? Do you think it's only the Federal Govt that foot the bills of their party? How did you think Tinubu made his wealth? Party members are compensated through phoney contracts at State and Fed levels if you care to know.

Let's call a spade by its name rather than engaging in bulk passing. The entire budget shenanigan should be situated to Buhari"s incompetence and lack of basic administrative skill . No more, no less.

Assuming the budget was doctored by civil servants, are we indirectly saying the president is a Postman who delivers a package without knowing its content? Why didn't the president direct his close aides to vet and scrutinize the document line by line?

But because we have a president who lives by denial and public eulogy, anomalies of this nature will continue to trail his government. One thing remains clear, Buhari is over hyped. He only works with people but fails to work around them.

Countless Nigerian foresaw drop in Oil prices in past years, did Mr President adhere?

Answer my questions and I'll concur to your claim undecided
Firstly, you deliberately avoided answering the question that requires you to swear if you indeed proffered solution to the last adminstration.

However, more importantly, the dwindling fortune of global oil price started in Jonathan's adminstration but the then Finance Minister was able to professionally meander through it without hurting the nation. The difference now is a case of an ill-prepared, naive, incompetent and blame-drunk govt which cannot differentiate its left from right.

A sound and well-defined economic policy managed by an astute Finance Minister would have nipped the situation in the bud thereby preventing or mitigating these Naira free falls.

Lastly, to corroborate the above, two of the first k-legged policies adopted by Buhari at the beginning of his administration were the lifting of ban on importations of rice and textile materials. Now tell me, do those policies go in tandem with a drive toward promoting indigenous growth and positive balance of trade/foreign exchange edge? The answer is NO. Pls draw your premise from those stated facts.

You can only judge a good man by his antecedents and if Buhari's previous and latest utterances and actions are dissected thoroughly, he has definitely failed the test of a good man.

Ahaaa!
Finally, you are now shifting away from the feeding allocations to more reasonable things. If you remember, one of the first things I advised you was to restrict you criticism to factual things and not some lousy hearsay rumours peddled by some dubious blogs. I specifically pointed out to you that there were several 'genuine' issues in the budget which needed your attention and criticism, but you chose to stick with the fictitious feeding budget which you quoted.

Now while you have done the noble thing by shifting from the N1.7bn argument, you still in your stubbornness, closed with the statement "as far as the Nigerian public is concerned today" but I ask, who is this Nigerian public you talk about?... I'm sure you obviously mean people like yourself who shamelessly prefer to stick with a clearly false story all because you think it suits your political narrative.
Shame? Did you just say shame? If there's anybody who should hide his head in shame, you're definitely the one. There are so many anomalies in that garbage called budget but I had to mention just few for the sake of space. You're not in the position to guide me on what's important or not.

I had taught I was conversing with an intellectual but the pettiness in the last post suggests otherwise. Don't bother to quote me any longer .I choose not to reply your trash again.
Politics › Re: Zero Based Budgeting Was Not Responsible For 2016 Budget Shame. by OLADD(op):

I really do not see why Nigerians are making too much fuss on this matter. To my mind,
a budget is a proposal, subject to ratification by the legislature. In effect it only
becomes law when it is passed into law.

In view of recent revelations, everyone is on the lookout to catch a thief, which is a very
good idea. If for any reason, there are duplications that are discovered by the legislature and
eagle eyed citizens,it is good for our democracy . The executive should investigate and
establish that it is either in error or deliberate. It is only a process of weeding out vestiges of
"status quo ante" if the culprits are identified and punished accordingly.

One thing is certain, this country can never be the same again. All malpractices of the past are
bound to fail with the vigilance we have today.

The budget proposal is not a law yet, people should not develop temperature as if a law has been
breached but this should be a lesson to the executive too. A case of Ineptitude , executive
or supervisory has been established. I do not see this repeating itself in subsequent budget.

Having said that, somebody must lose his job for this.

[/b]
I don't really understand what you're driving at.Why didn't the president ensure adequate vetting of the budget before presentation? What if the NA had rubber stamped it without detailed scrutiny? I can assure you that Buhari would have kept mute on the anomalies if the budget had been passed without eyebrows. It shows all the noise about blocking leakages and prudence is just deceit. If the architects of anti corruption crusade are also engulfed in corruption, where is Nigeria heading?

I am not one of those you can force unpleasant food down his throat. Why did the presidency choose to explain the rationale for the N3.8b proposed for Villa Clinic if it was inconsequential? I deliberately ignored your attached links having realised your mischief. As far as the Nigerian public is concerned , that figure remains unchanged.

Moreover, why are you hyping on the feeding allocation only? What of the N20b also proposed for rent in the Villa? Are you one of the tenants?

This issue was raised by some propaganda blogs before the budget was released to the public, it was debated fiercely and the falsehood was crushed when the budget was eventually made public. Like I said earlier, there are many genuine issues wrong with the budget which you can criticise, but desperately dwelling on your fictitious N1.7bn feeding figure even after being corrected speaks volumes on your level of awareness.

A simple advice, the 2016 budget is a public document. Go and download it and stop basing your arguments on hearsays from igbereTv et al. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/195903-buhari-to-spend-more-than-jonathan-on-presidential-villa-to-spend-less-on-food.html
So, you relied on blog debates to dispute the figure? As far as that allocation is concerned, it remains N1.7billion since the presidency is yet to say otherwise unless you're trying to usurp the function of Adesina and Garba Shehu.
