These roads were started long before Lagos-Ibadan road and they’ve featuring in our budget for nothing less than years now. The Second Niger bridge has been featuring in our Budget since the Obasanjo era.

As for the corporate HQs of some private companies that are located in Lagos, that’s not FG’s doing. They are in Lagos because they find the state attractive. It is left for other states to also create an enebling environment to attract corporate organizations.

Lagos – Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a former governor of Osun state has described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a danger to democracy and constitutional rule owing to the party’s lack of respect for Nigerians and disdain for rule of law.


Speaking in an exclusive interview with INDEPENDENT, Oyinlola, a former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was giving an assessment of both parties also cast aspersions on APC’s anti-corruption war, saying a sinner becomes a saint the moment he decamps from his party and joins the APC.

He said: “I have been in both parties and I can say categorically that the APC is a much more disciplined party. The followership listens and respects the leadership".

The PDP, I can say lacks discipline among its members but it is a party that fears what the people may say if it misbehaves.

“That is why you could see it trying its own members for breaking the law. With APC, a sinner becomes a saint the moment he joins them.”

Oyinlola also lauded Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde’s efforts in repositioning the South-West chapter of the party, saying the governor the party the right leadership as the South-West leader.

"Governor Seyi Makinde has done excellently well in uniting the party and repositioning it for immediate and future success. He is giving it the right unbiased leadership.”

I was engaging some folks from the other side on here the other time and everyone is showcasing the project of their governors. When I rushed to Seyi Makinde social media profile or his media spokesperson profile, I couldn't see any achievement worth of showcasing here and the only one that came to the aid is Dapo Abiodun.

Go on Dapo Abiodun social media or his "Ogun State Monitoring team" media profile on Facebook. You can at least see what he has done for the past one year. Can you see scolding Seyi Makinde has nothing to do with APC or PDP? It is seeing Yoruba state progressing.

I remember you abused me on Aregbesola matter too. while I am not from Osun, but at least there are countless projects worthy of commendation that Aregbesola had while he was Osun governor. Those are the kind of things I want to see about Yoruba governors and I will continue to showcase them either it is from PDP or APC.

If you check my posts, you will clearly see I am pro-Yoruba and I have always spoken along that line. Since Yoruba states are majorly APC states, I will definitely look biased in my assertions but that does not make me a party man.

Isn't it obvious from that financial report that the yacht was taken over by Diamond bank due to the failure of Diamond Capital? Whether Lagos had money in the project is not the issue but the fact that there was no accountability by the main actors towards the failure of the project. The then tourism commissioner simply danced round the issues and left and here you are years later justifying the failure and wastage with a single line in a financial report.
