To hall with news like this, when we have a serious issue globally (Africa Development Bank). See if US succeed in removing Adesina then Africa should say Bye Bye to ever becoming Great Again.. Haven’t said that. Thanks to E-money |
Believe you me.. if not people like obj so many things would have gone wrong between Africa and the world at large. Sure he might have some mistake but this man always speak up when needed and necessary. Adesina issues started way back when he was a commissioner in Ogun state, till he became the Bano ok Industry President and Africa Development Bank and stated repositioning Africa countries in terms of Agricultural loans. I hope and pray Africa leaders support their own at this period m, considering the international loans Africa enjoyed for many years. seunmsg: |
Amidst rumours of Harry Redknapp's arrival, the former England striker appears keen to switch nationality and turn out for the West African giants! Peter Crouch looks set to be the next England-born player to turn out for Nigeria’s Super Eagles…at least if his latest cheeky tweet is to be believed. The former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur striker responded to rumours that the Nigeria Football Federation are considering a move to recruit Harry Redknapp to replace Gernot Rohr by throwing his hat into the ring for an international switch! “So excited to get my Nigerian passport through today,” Crouch tweeted on Tuesday. “Go Super Eagles.” Unfortunately for any Nigeria fans hopeful of the 39-year-old forward coming out of retirement to don the famous green of the Super Eagles, Fifa guidelines outline that players who represent one nation in competitive fixtures are not allowed to switch nationality. This would prevent 42-cap ex-England man Crouch from ever turning out for his beloved Super Eagles! The towering striker worked alongside Redknapp at several clubs, including Portsmouth and Spurs, with the veteran coach selling the striker on three occasions. The 73-year-old, who was recently a guest on Crouch’s podcast, has been tipped for a return to management as the unlikely successor to Rohr should the Franco-German coach fail to agree terms on a new deal. Redknapp hasn’t been in a managerial post since leaving Birmingham City in 2017, and despite working with some of Africa’s biggest names during his career, has no experience of working in African football. The Londoner has previously held an international post, although his brief stint in Jordan back in 2016 didn’t lead to any tangible success. Crouch’s tweet also pokes fun at Redknapp’s reputation for regularly recruiting the same players time and time again, and the former Stoke City frontman isn’t the only player who’s been signed on several occasions by the fabled ‘wheeler dealer’. The likes of Jermain Defoe, Niko Kranjcar and Sandro are just some of the players who worked with Redknapp at multiple clubs, with the manager often inspiring great loyalty within his players. The former West Ham United wideman also got the best out of some of Nigeria’s greatest stars; he was responsible for bringing Ayegbeni Yakubu to the Premier League with Portsmouth, while he also oversaw Nwankwo Kanu’s Indian summer at the same club.

Atlanta (AP) -- The social justice arm of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation entertainment company on Sunday called on Georgia officials to take quick action in the case of Ahmaud Arbery, a black man who authorities say was killed by two white men as he ran through a Georgia neighborhood. Musicians Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, Alicia Keys, Mario “Yo Gotti” Mims, Robert “Meek Mill” Williams and two attorneys signed Team Roc's open letter published in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and directed at state officials. The letter said District Attorney Tom Durden should be recused from the case due for a conflict of interest since Gregory McMichael, one of the two men charged with murder, was a former police officer. The letter urges state Attorney General Christopher Carr to instead appoint a special prosecutor to help achieve a fair trial. It also says a neighbor should be charged as an armed accomplice. “We are all Ahmaud Arbery,” rapper Yo Gotti said in a statement. “Everyday activities should not end in death sentences. We must hold people responsible for their actions. Ahmaud Arbery was unarmed and innocent and his killers must be brought to justice.” Arbery was fatally shot on Feb. 23 in Brunswick but no charges were brought for more than two months. National outrage over the case swelled last week after video surfaced that appeared to show the shooting. Shortly after the video’s leak, Gregory McMichael, 64, and his son Travis McMichael, 34, were arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault. The father and son said they thought Arbery matched the appearance of a burglary suspect who they said had been recorded on a surveillance camera some time before. Arbery’s mother, Wanda Cooper Jones, has said she thinks her 25-year-old son, a former high school football player, was just jogging in the neighborhood before he was killed. “If anybody saw that horrifying video of his killing, it is heartbreaking, unbelievably unacceptable and inhumane,” singer Alicia Keys said in a statement to The Associated Press. “No human being should be murdered and not receive justice. I have black sons and they should be able to go on a jog or anywhere they want without the risk of being killed.” |

Spare me all the intro... this guy is a proud motherfucker that I’ve met at several occasions. He should be grateful his father is wealthy (though a known criminal). |
Not well coordinated, I still give it to the Nigeria Baptist for their efforts towards showing discomfort with the situation of things in this country. All the Pentecostal churches should act likewise. |

This one is just saying “NONSENSE”. How can a private citizen get access to a presidential aircraft, even the Vice President make use of a chopper for local trips. How come she’s started getting official jobs or assignment when she as not served her fatherland (NYSC) like every other person is mandated to do before getting jobs... Biko 2023 should come fast |
Airforce 1 is an official aircraft meant for both the president and his vice only. In other countries this will be seen as a serious security breach, for a non elected individual using the presidential aircraft for personal purpose. adeniyi3971: |
AFRICAN ALL STARS "Nigeria is bigger than any player" – Kanu reacts to Abraham and Tomori England call-ups BRAZIL V NIGERIA The Blues’ stars have been called-up by the Three Lions and the African football great believes the Super Eagles will cope without them Nwankwo Kanu is unmoved following England handing Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori international call-ups. Gareth Southgate included the duo in the Three Lions’ squad to face the Czech Republic and Bulgaria in October’s Euro 2020 qualification games, to end the question on where the Chelsea stars will commit their international allegiance. Here it is: your #ThreeLions squad for this month's #EURO2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria!https:///uuLf9zGD3g — England (@England) October 3, 2019 Abraham, 22, who has been in rich scoring form for Frank Lampard’s side had been capped by the Europeans in friendlies against Germany and Brazil, while Tomori who is also eligible to feature for Canada has played 15 times for England's U21’s. This development, however, did not come as a shock to the Arsenal great as he feels the Super Eagles have an array of stars to count on if the duo decides not to play for Nigeria. “Our problem is that whenever someone starts doing well, we start chasing them which is not bad because other countries do that,” Kanu told Goal. “I feel we don’t need to force people to play for the country, because Nigeria is bigger than any player. “We have quality players everywhere so we can’t continue to beg one player to play for us. Nigeria cannot beg, players have to beg Nigeria. “The best way to always go about this is talking to them to play for their fatherland. “If they do, it’s good for us and if they don’t we move on. That’s football and I think we have enough and we can win matches without them.” England are currently sitting top of Group A on 12 points, having won all four of their qualifying ties to date. For Nigeria, they play Brazil in a high-profile friendly in Singapore on October 13.
