Hosting on NameCheap about - $70 p.a (I already have this)
Ai Article writer - $20 p.m

The blog will be on WordPress and it comes free with the hosting. I will be posting two articles daily.

Bro, I feel your pain. Sorry for being treated badly. I was once in your shoes like this in 2018 after writing 60K words and client scammed me here on Nairaland.

It happens.

I was able to get jobs on Upwork that eventually gave me real money, and everything changed.

Right now, with the advent of AI and ChatGpt, writing niche is dead. Most clients now prefer chatgpt to cut cost.

My advise is to look for another (evolving) online skills and leave writing niche for AI, because the issue of AI is here to stay for long as I see it.

Writing is no more sustainable for a man.

Lol I know what I'm saying. Getting client is more difficult than learning a skill, even on Freelance platforms. Skill saturation (alot of people with similar skills) and AI is taking loads of job as well.

That's the truth; you will see someone who is not even major in your discipline getting the job before you because of that US flag...I will advise anyone making good money from Nigeria here....please, do one thing...save up massively, and japa....while you still can...the day the job dries up on these online platforms like Upwork or Fiverr, or they close your account...hmmm.... but when you get over there, you have double security, even working on Upwork will be a side hustle.

Having used both over the years, I'd pick Upwork to some extent.

Upwork is premium website where you use money (connect buying) to make money ( send proposal) which isn't sure for newbies.

Fiverr is a free website that you hope on algorithm to rank your gig which isn't sure for beginners and you can also apply for a gig for free using buyer request.

Upwork has potential of ongoing job (long term client)

Fiverr is mostly one-off project.

Upwork is expensive for beginners.

Fiverr is not expensive for beginners.

You can't be more native English than an English person. Yeah I made some good amount but yet it's not an easy ride. I changed location from Nigeria that's how I was able to pull that.
Nigeria account is hard.

How many Nigerians are really making it, forget all these new Freelancer making noise here. Most haven't even reach their first $1k on Upwork..lol. That's why I said 1%.

Earning potential is determined by the freelancer's ability, not the account itself. There are many Top Rated and Top Rated Plus Nigerian freelancers living in Nigeria who are currently earning thousands of dollars every month from Upwork alone.

Hmmmn, say 1% of Nigerians using Nigeria account get ahead. I bet they faced hell.

Thanks. I've called them 3 times but they kept saying that I'd need to wait till it get approved, that the customer service can't FasTrack it or do anything about it.
Now, I'm patiently waiting for them.

Lagos has been difficult with their review & approval for second timer and Abuja on the other hand has been stingy releasing new dates.

Lastly, I was earlier refused under section 214b (within the last 6 months) and now no dates or calendar is showing in my account for weeks now for re-appointment purpose.

Please, how can I get appointment date before August 15th.

Lagos has refused to approve date for second timer as it can even take you weeks to get reviewed and approved (if possible). Just stick with Abuja if they release date anytime soon you grab yours.
Hopefully they release soon
