Wow. That's nice.( Inside this competition). I'm actually not new to Upwork, that's why its strange. As a matter of fact, 90% of the jobs have completed came through invites. I hardly send out proposal. In 2years, I've made a combined 100k on my two accts ( CANADA and USA with a writing profile). Maybe I should have asked if others also noticed a sharp decline in invites.

Op your problem is that you trying to be everywhere. From my experience, if you want to earn online and build authority, you have to pick ONE skill and focus on it alone.

I focused on Copywriting and I've made $30,000+ with it on Upwork since 2020.

I didn't say digital marketing, email marketing or other noise.

Just ONE skill.

Build reputation.

Get More testimonial.


So, niche down to a particular skill and go in.

The amount by and Large is an understatement! And we'd never get to know. In one Sense, the case would have been so different if another political party won the elections. If I were you in the current Nigeria, I'd keep the job for now, find a way to get in touch with the school and put the admission on hold.

I'd also see if I can get in touch with the embassy and defer or cancel the visa with the hope of having it renewed at a later date.

I would like to explore the new job for now and save as much as I could and then travel with good financial strength later.

The school can always wait. If you abandon that job and travel now to start afresh in an entirely new environment with little or not enough cash, you'll regret it.
