imot: I was in your shoes and added my babies in May 2020 after PPR had been issued. My sister we are still waiting for another PPR to be issued. this is almost 2 years, not even a re-medical request has been sent.
My suggestion will be for you to get your passport stamped as soon as possible, if you can make it to Canada before delivery that would be great. (it wont be easy sha considering your state but i am sure it will be worth the stress so you can just have your baby in Canada).
if you cant get your passport stamped before delivery, you can have your baby in Nigeria. when you are stronger and much settled look for a way to finally land with your baby probably by getting a visitors visa then file for your baby's PR after landing in Canada.
That adding a new baby to your profile now is a complete no no for me except of course you don't mind the long wait before another PPR is reissued.
my 2 cent. I know someone who gave birth after PPR, she left the child with her parents, travelled to canada and came back for the child after 10 months. I thought she was wicked and insensitive until I read your story. |

Lotusgoddess: It basically depends on your noc for PNP but if your education and woek experience match, you could apply to SINP and if you have a way to increase your score to atleast 450-468 you might be lucky with OINP please do they work with just scores or your NOC has to be in demand before they Nominate you. |

EsoEso: Well it's a hard time for us all already in the pool waiting for ITAs. A plan B at this point wouldn't hurt at all. But let's not also be totally dismayed because this internal memo was a proposal and we don't know as of now, if it was rejected or approved. So all hope is not lost yet. Regarding CRS of above 500, my take is that, Yes, definitely the score would be above 500 when they finally decide to resume all programme draws. But the flactuation of the scores would be based on the CRS distribution table. With the current distribution of the table, four consecutive all programme draws With 4000 candidates invited, may crash the cut of to 478 range. Except they choose to be inviting 500-1000 candidates in each draw. That way the cut offs will remain high for months. Well for now the dream is shaking, but let's still have a little faith. positive words at last, I feel better now thanks |

I don't just understand this "above 500" these people are saying o. Not even 490 or 500, it has to be above 500? Even if I write TEF and pass very well, I'd be on 506 Since they said the scores would remain high for 6 months, I suspect these people will start from 530 and by the end of 6 months, they'd stop at 510. Let me start saving money for UK. Its just sad, I feel I just wasted 2 years pursuing fsw. |

Thanks for this info Allegory: Sure, you can be in the pool for FSW and still be applying to provinces for pnp, but once you're nominated by a province and you accept the nomination, your profile will be removed from the pool, meaning you can't get ITA again once you accept a nomination.
Realistically, unless you're in the pool with a CRS score of over 500, this year, you're better off applying for pnp if you're eligible for any. |

Please can you apply for PNP and FSW same time? What if PNP picks you and FSW resumes, can you still accept ITA and continue with Fsw? |

iwinosajack: Congratulations & welcome to Alberta. It has been bitterly cold in Alberta since the middle of Dec. It’s expected to warm up in the coming days but be prepared for more cold cos January and February are usually the coldest months.
Settling in is easier when you land in the summer/spring time. It gives you time to acclimatize & you get to meet more people & go to more places for job hunting. I believe the poster will adjust with time. The most important thing is he's in Canada! Every other thing will fall into place. |

Good morning everyone, please during ielts speaking test, if you pause and tell the examiner to rephrase the question, does that affect your score? Although I answered the question to the best of my ability, that was the only time I paused- to tell her to rephrase the question because it was complicated. Has anybody experienced a drawback because of this? |
