'LOGO' or 'NO LOGO', PDP are in big trouble starting from 2014 in Anambra. |
dougivilla: As i dey talk now, i just wan leave benin. I come see my guy wey win =N=9M grant last year 4 youwin, wey e take dey do fish farming for more info as my wife don scale first stage. Yeah, Its for real man!Yes ![]() |
With good planning & right candidates, APC will no doubt easily carry the day in 2015 irrespective of how much PDP spend. This time around, the eyes of the world will be on Nigeria as this could be the last chance to save Nigeria from PDP |
APC' needs to be careful especially with these 'PDP HAS-BEENS' making noise all over the place. As they say, a LEOPARD CAN'T CHANGE ITS COLOUR/SKIN. I pray these guys prove me wrong. |
Billyonaire: Exactly my point. I pointed Akwa Ibom and Cross River states. These are more people's civilized states than Lagos. What I mean is that the people in those states apart from the milestones achieved by their govt are more civilized in attitude than Lagosians. Should PDP want to win Lagos, they should field a people centred civil technocrat that is loved by the people. We will vote the individual which ever party he is running on, especially the PDP** ** ** ** Yes, I agree with you. Just like PDP fielded GEJ, a people-centred civil technocrat that is loved by the people nationwide bcoz of his proven competence & huge experience. GEJ is the type of candidate PDP need in Lagos state in order to beat ACN. And if the candidate had no shoes like GEJ, ACN will be in trouble. With this, Lagos & the entire SW will go back to PDP. P D P....POWER TO THE PEOPLE...lol |
''We can SUCCEED with the WORST constitution IF we do things the RIGHT way but, we'll continue to FAIL even with the BEST constitution IF we continue to do things the WRONG way''.- Oliver-Fashola-Twist. |
'The antidote with Nigeria challenges lies with the people' - Fashola What Gov. Fashola simply means is that, POWER belongs to the PEOPLE. We can't give POWER i.e. OUR ELECTORAL VOTE to a novice & incompetent person like GEJ and, at the same time, expect a CHANGE. We can change the CONSTITUTION a million times if we like but, with the likes of GEJ & Co at the helm of affairs, NOTHING 4 US. |
These tribalistic children again. SMH |

caukerzee: Dude even at that. Tell me when mikel has ever been a deciding factor in any chelsea s match? Name one MOTM performance he has ever provided at chelsea or nigerha NT??** ** ** ** ** ** Thanks. That's all I've been trying to say all day. FOOTBALL IS A TEAM WORK. However, what makes the difference when two good teams meet are INDIVIDUALS. That's where Messi and Mikel comes in. It's not by flukes that both players were crowned 1st and 2nd best players at the AYC. And Mikel would've got the top crown if only he was an attacking midfielder. And remember, Chelsea (with Mikel) beat Barcelona (with Messi) to the uefa champions league. Note: I'm not a Mikel or Chelsea fan |
Batam: Forget it,Mikel is incomparable to Messi. Also, Nigeria is not looking for a defensive midfielder but an attacking and creating one and Mikel is not** ** ** ** ** LOL! Okay, let me ask you this simple question, 'Why is Argentina finding it hard to win the World cup with the 3 time world footballer of the year? |
And, technically, I don't neccessarily believe Messi is the world best football player. If you say best attacking midfielder in the world, I'll say yes. For instance, how can FIFA compare Messi with goal keepers like Casillas or Petr Cech? Or with defenders like Puyol or Rio Ferdinand? You cannot compare apple with orange. Personally, I think it's wrong for FIFA to say 'Strikers' or 'Midfielders' are better than 'Defenders' or 'Goal keepers'. FIFA should consider breaking the award to only five categories: 1. World best Striker 2. World best Midfielder 3. World best Defenders 4. World best Goal keepers 5. World best Coach |
If you understand football language, you'll know exactly why this football legend compare Mikel with Messi. Yes, we know Messi is an attacking midfielder and Mikel a defensive midfielder. But on a good day, they can both decide the outcome of a game. |
Like someone rightly said, the only constant thing is CHANGE. If you expect a bachelor to remain unchanged after marriage, then you are on-your-own. I'll understand if your husband is becoming less loving after marriage. This is a big problem esp if he's cheating on you. But the problem with most young wives is that, they want to 'eat their cake & have it at the same time. In other words, they want to: 1} continue to enjoy everything they enjoyed from their husbands prior to marriage i.e being over-pampered with gifts, money, time, eating out, romantical etc plus, 2} enjoy all the benefits of being newly wed. N.B: Nothing stops a man from continuing with the above i.e {1} & {2}, but, there's need for young wives to understand that, marriage means more responsibilities. For young husbands, it means more mouth to feed, more people to clothe, shelter, protect, love, care for i.e changing nappies, communicate with etc. So you see, it's not just about you anymore, it's about you & the kid{s}. Therefore, this change in husbands after marriage is a positive & welcome one. |
50calibre: 1 - money** ** ** ** Lol. My friend, you are half-right, money is very good in a relationship/marriage, but have you ever asked yourself why most multi-billionaires' marriages always crashed even before it starts while many average couples celebrate 60years of happy marriage. |
Lately, I've been seriously thinking about what our major problem(s) is/are as a country and what can be done to resolve it. I find it very, very hard to list 5 countries in the world that are NATURALLY BLESSED than Nigeria and, here we are, we are not even 1st among the developing countries of the world. So, where have we gone wrong? Some people will say, it's because we have many tribes, tongues, ethnic groups, culture etc. But so do America & yet, they still manage to survive till today. Some will say it's about the past coups & civil war. But Nigeria is not the first & will not be the last to do so. Others will say it's bcoz of colonization. But most developed countries of today have been colonized at some point in time. Some will say it's bcoz of slavery. But it's been over 179 years since it was abolished. Other reasons people give are: religion, inferior to the 'whites', greed, act of the gods i.e that Nigeria is cursed, lack of patriotism, black mentality, selfishness, corruption, visionless, bad leadership, cowardice on the part of the youth (note: this is different from stupidity) etc. I partially agree with some of the above reasons but the question still remain: are these problems peculiar to Nigeria alone? Can there be a solution(s)? How long will it take us to get things right? Without trying to sound boastful, apart from Oceania and South America, I've had the opportunity to travel to every other part of the world. But, from Africa to Asia, Europe to North America and, from what I've read in papers, heard from friends & seen on TV about the Oceania & South America (i.e Brazil, Argentina, Chile etc), I've come to a conclusion that, there's nothing special or spectacular about the so-called 'developed countries' but the PEOPLE, not even their infrastructures. I've come to understand that, what makes a country is the people and not the other way round. America is what it is today because of the foundation laid by their fore-fathers. So also are Britain, France, Ghana, Nigeria etc, be it positive or negative foundation. An adage says, as you lay your bed, so shall you lie on it. Assuming our fore-fathers wrongly laid our beds for us whether deliberately or otherwise, I think it's left for us as the children they left behind to re-lay the bed before we lie on it. Dwelling in the past day-in-day-out is like calling the dead to come back to life in order to help us out to re-lay our beds (the Poo they created). This will not happen no matter what. We've got to do it ourselves. Moreover, I believe no good father will lay a bad foundation for his children, at least deliberately. Agreed, they made some terrible mistakes pro & post independence, but who hasn't. If America, GB, France, Canada, China, Japan, South Africa etc are still dwelling in the past & refuse to right the wrong of their fore-fathers while consolidating on the good legacy from their fore-fathers, none of us will be queuing at their embassies today. So, I'll appreciate if we can stop focusing more on the past rather than the future. For those that believe dividing the country is the solution to our problem as a nation, I share your view, but are we saying, that will be the end of our other problems. For instance, how would you solve a problem like corruption in your new country? If you believe your solution will work for you in your new country, why do you think it can never work for Nigeria? If the leaders (both executive & legislators) we elected to represent us turn around & decide to serve only themselves, families & friends, what power do we have collectively as a people to call them to order? Nigeria as a country is not the problem. The problem with Nigeria is YOU & I. |
'DemocraZy' is Govt of the thieves, by the thieves and, for the thieves. |
We saved N671 Billion in just 10months. That's about $6.5 Billion. WTF! And what do we get in return from this govt? More borrowing. Is this nation cursed or something? Why all these wastes? |
'PASTOR JET Part 1' by John Okafor A.K.A Mr Ibu is out today. So what are you waiting for, go & get your copy NOW! |
Hall of Fame: Tunde Bakare Gov Babatunde Fashola Honourable Gbawe of NL Sahara Reporters Hall of Shame: 200 Million Mumus in Nigeria Boko Haram GEJ National Assembly The Judiciary Farouk Beaf |
Only 'Jerry Rawlings' through the help of God can save Nigeria. 'Shuo', see dumb comments Anyway,my advice for Mr Falana is to just keep exposing them but avoid wasting your precious time suing their a.ss. If GEJ like, let him appoint his wife, children, brothers & sisters, uncles & other family members into the NNPC board. Whether he appoints 7 or 700,it makes no difference to ordinary Nigerians. Afterall, they are all birds of a feather. SMH |
Unemployed man + Unemployed woman = Unemployed shildren(children) |
GAR3TH: This is a step in the right direction and I don't understand why people are complaining. 70 %per cent of Federal Government’s revenue goes toward payment of salaries so why not cut it. The fact remains that Nigeria's federal government is over-bloated, We have 3-4 people doing what 1 person can do. Mind you that Sanusi him self is a civil servant but he himself knows that the amount of recurrent expenditures that the government waste on people like him is ridiculous. What Nigeria Needs is a small government and small salaries, simple.I disagree with the 1st bolded part. I agree with the 2nd bolded part. Truely, Nigeria needs to re-brand its CIVIL SERVICE, no doubt. I'm aware we have ghost civil servants, unproductive civil servants and unnecessary civil servants. But,if the National Assembly salaries & allowances is 25%, imagine how much GEJ and his political appointees will get as salaries, allowances and in contracts. Let's put it at 25% as well. So, I think all what the 'GENUINE' civil servants gets is 70% minus 25% (National Assembly) minus 25% (GEJ & his political appointees) = 20% of recurrent expenditures. |
afam4eva: They never submitted because they're not up to the task. Abuja that even put in to host the commonwealth games was not even chosen. So, what does it take to be up to the task my friend? ![]() |
afam4eva: So, how come Lagos was not chosen to host the Olympics? ![]() |
manny4life: Abeg, you people should STOP attacking afam, it's his opinion, though I haven't traveled out excessively, but damn, few of the cities I've been to have their own SLUMS. New York, NY being like the TOP 5 financial districts of the world, is for the most part DIRTY......It's called re-orientation not attack Jo'burg Ghetto https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iOQ9AFc8q0 |
afam4eva: The truth is that if i want to do a documentary on the best cities in the world, i will go to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Beijing, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Rio, Paris, London, Moscow, Canberra, Jo'Burg, Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, Berlin and tens of other cities before even considering Lagos or any Nigerian city. But if i want to do a documentary on poverty, common sense only suggests that i come to Africa because poverty is a brand here. I'm i lying?Okay let's start with the bolded as they are hosting the next olympics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZW9QlBTIuY |
afam4eva: Being proud of being black can be a Herculean task. Then try being white for a day... |
shymexx: And most parts of London and NY look like what you see on TV all the time, no? Go to South Bronx, Queens, Stapleton(Staten Island), Brooklyn et al in US - and certain places in London are fugged up as well...You beat me to it bro. You see, I've come to a conclusion that most of these guys that talks thrash on NL have never stepped out of Naija before so you can always forgive them. If not, Afam will not make the stupid statement he made above. People are just so myopic to see the truth. Another thing is that, maybe most of these guys are 'JJC' to Lagos so they are not used to the 'Old Lagos'. If they've been to Lagos in the early 90s, they'll forever appreciate the little Tinubu & Fashola have done. Afam should just check picture 29 above and tell me that was how Lagos looks like before Fashola came in. Just look at the arrangements of the red BRT buses on there lanes. No other vehicles on BRT lane, no BRT buses on other lanes. Isn't that lovely. With what I've seen in those pics esp pic 29, I believe we still have hope as Nigerians and blacks in general. I mean just look at Oshodi. I was there in April and I was gobsmacked. Thanks a Million Rossike for the lovely pics. |
For those making noise about govt charging tolls after using public funds to build bridges, roads etc, if you've been to mega-cities like London, New York, Paris etc, you'll notice that, their govt do charge congestion fees on their busiest roads to de-congest traffic and all that, mostly where there are bridges, tourist areas etc. The money this generate is what they use to maintain the roads, bridges, water etc. And we need to inculcate the same style. There's hardly any modern bridge in the world that is not tolled. So Lagos is not doing something new. We can only ask that the toll be reduced. Check this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_congestion_charge These are the list of toll bridges world wide: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_toll_bridges |
