2 Corinthians 8:9-Jesus became poor (by comparison to the treasures of Heaven) that we might be made rich. This could not be simply referring to spiritual riches, as the entire context of this passage deals with money.

PoliticsRe: Our Commitment To Rebuilding Lagos Is Paying-Off - Fashola by olivertwist: 1:19pm On Nov 24, 2012
shymexx: I don't want to derail the thread, but Rochas, Chime, Amaechi etc. should NEVER be in the same sentence with Fashola....

Fashola isn't perfect, however, he's head and shoulders above the other pretenders - no one is even close... undecided
Taking states population and resources into consideration, We can only start to appreciate the achievements of Fashola by combining the achievements of his counterparts from Rivers + Akwa Ibom + Bayelsa + Imo + Enugu + Ebonyi + Anambra + Abia.

Gbawe: Folks like you and Afam4eva demonstrate, without even realising it, the inferiority complex and bad belle many Nigerians suffer from. If some are happy with their governor and always happy to praise and celebrate him publicly, why does that rankle folks like you to the extent you always have to begin 'd.1ck comparison' via talking of Ameachi, Akpabio and Rochas on a thread concerning Fashola?

Why , if you are secure men, do you not start thread to praise those folks you admire so much? Do you not realise your inferiority complex is glaring with your desire to always tout SE/SS administrator every time Fashola is mentioned? It is an indication of the inferiority complex and inadequacy you feel.

Let me give you an example. On my street, I am happy to tell everyone how I love my beautiful wife and bright kids. I am entirely happy with them. I focus on talk about my family, and never compare them to others, because , healthily and correctly, I only have eyes for them. My neigbhour, instead of doing same, always focuses on going around saying he does not understand my praise for my family considering his wife is pretty too and his kids are bright as well. Would a balanced person not wonder why he cannot just simply promote his own family rather than focus always on talking about his family in relation to mine? Does that not clearly demonstrate inferiority complex and innate feelings of inadequacy? I just don't get you guys. Why are you always driven to compare? Why not just enjoy what you have if you are genuinely content with it?

We also heard that the reason why the top Lapdog (Beaf) has been missing in action on NL, since he was crushed by one Mr. Gbawe's {SAN} Hummer Jeep car, is bcoz of the inability of the SENATE to approve the new budget on time hence, the top GEJ's lapdog had no choice than to remain in a Vet hospital near Aso Rock until further notice.

Infact, I dare to call you a 'MUMU' if you were SHOCKED just bcoz GEJ is using N5.2Billion to REPAIR the UN building.

Is it your money? So why are you all shouting, angry, yelling, crying, cursing & screaming on NL. The money belongs to the ELITES & their families {including their unborn children}. They will be doing you a big favour if they build any infrastructure for you.

Sanusi: Nigerian Economy Not Growing

Olivertwist: Sir, have got some simple steps to make Nigerian Economy grow

Sanusi: OK, go on I have no time my friend

Olivertwist: Alright Sir. They are:

1} add some fertilizer to the economy
2} water the economy (ensure you don't over-water it)
3} remove every weed around the economy that are preventing it to grow
4} lastly, this one is not for free Mr CBN governor Sir.

Sanusi: Why?

Olivertwist: Emn, did you just ask for my bank a/c number Sir

Sanusi: You are not serious my friend. Will you get out of my office?

Olivertwist: So.. so.. so.. sorry Sir. It's just a joke. Just trying to make you laugh as I observed that you are not happy.

Sanusi: Okay, Sit down. You see, I'm a very practical man. If this your simple policy works for Nigeria, you'll automatically get an oil block in Anambra state, $1 million, a duplex house in Maitama with swimming pool and a hired private jet for 3 months to travel around the world.

Olivertwist: Thank you very much Sir.

Sanusi: You are welcome. You'll have to excuse me now as I have a meeting to attend to.

Olivertwist: Okay Sir. But Sir, pls dont say I'm asking for too much. Can I have some upfront payment Sir...You know, just to relax for now. And, I won't mind if..if..if

Sanusi: 'If what' my friend?

Olivertwist: If you can put my picture on the propose N5,000 note and...

Sanusi: cuts in...My friend, if you don't get out of my office before I open my eyes... thunder will fire you

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Economy Not Growing - Sanusi by olivertwist:
Alright. Now I understand. This is a kind of preparation for what is coming in January. The usual tactic. Mallam Sanusi will say economy is not growing. Madam Ngozi will say govt cannot meet its targets bcoz of lack of fund. Madam Deiziani - the minister of petroleum will ask for removal of oil subsidy, the President will announce the increase of petroleum price & the removal of oil subsidy saying, it is the only means by which he can build infrastructures.

The National Assembly & Governors will lie & deny being part of the fuel increment. The NLC will call for a national strike. There'll be war on NL. After few days of strike, armoured tanks will be rolled out in Lagos & probably Kano while some other states will 'sit down dey look' what the outcome will be. They'll even call their fellow brothers who are protesting 'FOOLS'.

Fast forward, few days later, three or more protesters will be shot dead in Lagos in order to scare protesters away but nothing will happen. Then, the FG will call for a meeting btw the NLC leaders & govt reps around 2.00 a.m in Aso Rock Villa. Money in $$$ will change hands. NLC will agree with govt terms. Everyone will pop champaigne, smile & take a group picture.

Next, the NLC leader in a press conference will tell Nigerians {civil servants or not} that he had come to a compromise with the FG and agreed to dance to the tune of the FG thereby killing the morale of the protesters. One-by-one, the protesters go back to their various homes, down-casted & disappointed.

The next day, work resume. And the cycle continues.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Economy Not Growing - Sanusi by olivertwist:
Mallam Sanusi you Lied! How dare you say Nigeria economy is just growing @ 6.48% rate? Pls change it to 99.9% growth rate. We have the money. We spend N1.34Billion to feed our dear president. The Fed Executive & National Assembly gets good salaries, allowances running into billions for clothing, newspapers, security, health, car, foreign trips, furniture, housing etc for doing good jobs. Our economy is booming. No debt. We are not borrowing instead we lend.

Our reserves are all time high. No corruption. No armed robberies. Our Niger Delta militants are well paid. Boko Haram wants to dialogue. Good roads everywhere, high rate of employment, good power, good health, good education, cheap telecomms, good security network, best police and judiciary.

Sanity (from Latin: sānitās) refers to the soundness, rationality and healthiness of the human mind, as opposed to insanity. A person is sane if he/she is rational.

Insanity, craziness or madness is a spectrum of behaviors characterized by certain abnormal mental or behavioral patterns. Insanity on the other hand may manifest as violations of societal norms, including a person becoming a danger to themselves or others, though not all such acts are considered insanity. In modern usage insanity is most commonly encountered as an informal unscientific term denoting mental instability, or in the narrow legal context of the insanity defense. In the medical profession the term is now avoided in favor of diagnoses of specific mental disorders; the presence of delusions or hallucinations is broadly referred to as psychosis. When discussing mental illness in general terms, "psychopathology" is considered a preferred descriptor.

In English, the word "sane" derives from the Latin adjective sanus meaning "healthy". The phrase "mens sana in corpore sano" is often translated to mean a "healthy mind in a healthy body". From this perspective, insanity can be considered as poor health of the mind, not necessarily of the brain as an organ (although that can affect mental health), but rather refers to defective function of mental processes such as reasoning.

Now, I fully understand why some people on NL prefer the status quo in Lagos. shocked lipsrsealed undecided

Unless there's a military coup {which I doubt}, the best we can all do is to reduce the collateral damage{s} that'll be caused by GEJ's leadership,at least until 2015. Remember,if we point a finger at GEJ, the remaining four would be directed back at us. We asked for it & we rightly deserved what we've got. Let's deal with it.

** * * **

Right on point bro. But I don't think it's the job of the Gov to build public garages in every local council of the state. I think this is a very good means by which L.G councils can generate revenue like it's done abroad. Also private investors could take advantage of this huge opportunity.
