CrimeFour Nigerians, One Cameroonian Arrested In Thailand Over Romance Scam Gang by olmoRoc(op): 7:49am On Jan 20, 2018
Thai Immigration police have arrested four Nigerians and a Cameroonian and charged them with operating a romance scam to deceive Thai women into wiring them money.

The four accused Nigerians were identified as Ikemefuna Oliver Ibekwe, 26, Ogochukwu Iduh, 28, Osaratin Irabor, 36, and Vitus Nwokemodo, 31 and the Cameroonian as John Nji.

The arrest came after police received complaints from several Thai women, said Immigration Police Bureau commissioner Pol Lt-General Sutthipong Wongpin at a press conference on Friday. The women reported that foreigners they knew had been unlawfully detained at airports on their way to visit the women.

Police checked and found no such foreigners and realised that the women had been deceived. An investigation discovered the location of the alleged gangsters and police raided an apartment on Soi Lardprao 134 in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district on January 10.

Sutthipong said several of the men fled by using ropes to lower themselves from the balcony of the apartment building. The suspects had prepared ropes in case police raided their room, Sutthipong said.

Police seized five notebook computers and eight mobile phones during the raid.
A check of the computers revealed connections to the Cameroonian and police arrested him at a condominium in Nonthaburi’s Pakkret district on January 15. Police also confiscated two notebook computers, nine mobile phones, two ATM cards and a bankbook from him. The five denied any wrongdoing.

Sutthipong said police have strong evidence against them from computer chat logs.

PoliticsRe: "I Regret Making Udom Governor" - Akpabio by olmoRoc: 4:29pm On Jan 16, 2018
evanso6226:
The Former Governor of Akwa Ibom state and the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, in a meeting held on Monday to review the ongoing onslaught against him by his Successor told his Annang cabal that the greatest mistake he has made in his life was to have made Udom Emmanuel his successor in 2015 against all odds and warnings by some well meaning people within and outside the state.

“I regretted that I am being mocked by those I bulldozed in the build up to the 2015 polls to make Udom Emmanuel my Successor” he said
He vowed to take Udom pound of flesh at the 2019 polls. He told his Annang brothers that, “sacking Sir Etekamba Umoren as the SSG, Governor Udom has crossed the red line and has dared me”.

Attendees of the meeting blamed the former Governor for not hearkening to the voice of reason in the choice of his successor and regretted that the government has been hijacked by those who never contributed anything to its emergence while those that staked so much to ensure the success of 2015 agenda were pushed out of the government simply because they are identified as Akpabio boys.

The meeting expressed shock that the governor could sponsor, direct and encourage people to launch media attacks on his person.
Those who attended the meeting were carefully selected and they reaffirmed their support for their leader and resolved to follow him wherever he would lead them in 2019

CrimeNigerian And Thai Wife Arrested In Bangkok For Drugs Trade by olmoRoc(op): 4:23pm On Jan 16, 2018
Children and Women Protection Sub-Division police officers arrested a Nigerian drug suspect and his Thai wife and seized 127.14 grams of cocaine worth Bt400,000 on Monday night, a police source said on Tuesday.

Following the arrest of Nareuchon “Beam” Sunthornkran, 49, in a parking lot in Soi Rojmin of Bangkok’s Wang Thong Lang district, her husband, Emeka Edwin Udeze, 40, was apprehended allegedly in possession of cocaine at their shared apartment in Ramkhamhaeng area.

The man reportedly confessed to receiving the cocaine from his compatriot who had already fled the country to sell it to customers at night entertainment venues. The couple’s arrest stemmed from a previous bust of drug users who had said a Thai woman nicknamed “Beam” had sold them the drugs via the Line chat application.

Police then conducted a sting operation and apprehended the woman while she was delivering drugs in the parking lot. Nareuchon reportedly said she had received the drugs from her Nigerian husband, whom she had been married to for four years. The couple were initially charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell.

RomanceRe: Wife Of Nigerian Doctor Arrested For Having Sex With Her Student In The U.S by olmoRoc: 5:25am On Dec 22, 2017
She's liable because of her position. A teacher is in the position of "trust." The schools usually have different policies about having relationships with students. That student in a case that happened last year must have left the school for not less than one month, but, alas, the teacher couldn't wait for one month. A teacher of teenagers need to be strong because the temptations are there, and they usually cloud your judgments. However, there's no excuse for frolicking with a child, age of consent or not. I consider a child anyone who's less than 21. We must be aware that the western world is very serious about stopping what is termed grooming, and the exploitation of children.

On a side note, as Nigerians, we must understand we are always under suspicion, so we must always be mindful of our conducts.

He turned my childhood upside down. All the big department stores closed down within a year of his coup! The economy nose dived, very long queues sprang up at the banks, water scarcity became the norm, and very long blackouts without NEPA warning people became normal. Someone (a family friend) whom he arrested for embezzling N.2m was released within a few months and placed in a very strategic position from where he became stupendously rich.

I will continue to say that the people who voted for him were ignorant of the early eighties, or were not from well to do homes, so didn't know the difference between his administration and the previous one/ones. The guy is a spoiler.

A lawmaker from Katsina state, has revealed his surprise after seeing the level of organization and discipline during his recent visit to Amman, Jordan. Hon. Abdullahi I. Mahuta, took to his social media page to share how he saw two cars patiently waiting for the traffic lights at 2.30 am despite being the only cars on the highway.

Abdullahi said he remembered Nigeria when he saw the cars waiting at the traffic.

Below is what he shared on Facebook;

It's 2:30 am here. I just looked through my window, then I saw these two cars waiting for the traffic lights to give them the green light. Then I remembered my country Nigeria and asked myself :

When will we get to this level of maturity and discipline?

He continued;;
"African parents sell their daughters as if they are prostitutes and call I️t a “bridal fee” or some other dumb shit just to get married... smh why am I paying the parents to marry their daughter? this is sick"
"Africans are known for scamming & finessing but this is just sick... can people be in love IN PEACE without you scamming for once.. I’m not paying nobody parents to marry their daughter.. they better be grateful somebody even wants to marry her"

http://www.lodgerill.com.ng/2017/12/not-paying-white-man-laments-over-bride.html?m=1
You should try to marry an Asian, a Thai to be specific, then you'd know that Africans do not really charge anything. Lionel Ritchie, and other stars have been brought here to entertain guests at weddings, and westerners gladly pay hundreds of thousand of dollars. It's only a broke azz that complains about paying a bride prize. At least our women might stay with you after paying, and she might refund your money if she chooses not to, but elsewhere, she could leave you the very next day without giving you a refund, and there's nothing you can do about it.

The three choices for Q. 10 are all wrong as far as I know. And as far as Q. 3 goes, I believe the students would have been taught about the kindness of M.K.O. Abiola, and definitely not about the other two.
PhonesRe: Help!!! All Techno Phones Not Working In Usa by olmoRoc: 8:19am On Dec 17, 2017
juwanno:
Hello people.

I use a Techno Camon 9 Phone but presently I am unable to use this phone in the USA. I got the mobile phone from Nigeria where it worked perfectly with my cellular lines.

The SIM CARD networks (MTN & GLO) where expected to roam here either to T-MOBILE or AT & T, unfortunately it didnt roam to any of these lines. I tried using other cellular

network SIM CARDS on the mobile, but the issue still persist even when I tried manually searching for network, it says NO NETWORK AVAILABLE (as shown in attached).

The phone doesnt have a GSM network, all I can find is 2G to 4G.

Kindly assist to help on any possible way I can unlock or resolve this issue. My wife also encounters the same issue with her Techno Phone W5.

Kindly help out my good people! I can be reached on my mail juwanno1@gmail.com.
My Glo sim didn't work on any of my phones for almost a year (I'm talking of the Nexus 6P, S6 Edge +(Tmobile), Xperia Z Ultra, XZ Premium, several Lumia, etc.), and even on the phone I used it with in Naija (Nexus 6P), so I just turned off the phone and left in in the drawer. However, when I turned on the phone a couple of months ago, it was working. I tried it on my other phones and got the same result. My MTN sim always works.

I've also been told that the Glo sim doesn't work/roam everywhere, even within the same city in the States. So it's not about the quality of the phone you have. Lots of people in the west can't afford big brand phones. You can simply check out where buyers of Chinese phones are from on Aliexpress.

I can never become a landlord in Naija. My neighbor's tenant has refused to pack out despite not paying for years. Even after cutting off their power and water supplies, they're comfortably using the BQ. If you can't pay your rent, please move out of the house/apartment, and relocate to the village!
