Annular eclipse to occur all over Nigeria Sept 1http://tribuneonlineng.com/annular-eclipse-occur-nigeria-sept-1/

MrImole:What has Boris done? Other than installed transformers and technical school in his home town of Ushi? How many human empowerment has he done? How many structural developmental implementations has he carried out? I know what I'm talking about too! PTA is never and will never be a spending politician (if you will understand me), he believes in due process and always stands by it! I can say of many people working now in UBE NUC and also in Germany and France because of PTA. Many schools were built during his tenure as UBE chairman and as minister of Education. So tell me how PTA is not a grass-roots politician |
MrImole:Same town as PTA. Guess you are not that close to Ido/Osi cos if you are you should know better that he is also a grassroots politician. |
20 THINGS YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT NIGERIA. You may already know that Nigeria is the largest black nation in the world and the most populous nation in Africa. You may already know that Nigeria has great dependency on crude oil, plus all the other opinions of David Cameron. Here are 20 unpopular facts about Nigeria. 1. Are you aware that all over the world Nigerians are setting the pace and becoming the standard by which others measure themselves? Do you know?? 2. In the US, Nigerians are the most educated immigrant community. Type it into Google and you'll see it. Not one of the most educated, the most educated. 3. 60% of Nigerians in the US have college degrees. This is far above the American national average of 30%. 4. Nigerians in US are one of the highest earners, typically earning 25% more than the median US income of $53k. 5. In Ivy League schools in Europe and America, Nigerians routinely outperform their peers from other nations. 6. A Nigerian family, The Imafidon family, have officially been named the smartest family in the UK. 7. The designer of the famous car, Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu, is a super talented Nigerian from Sokoto State. 8. The World's fastest supercomputer was designed by a world renowned inventor and scientist, Philip Emeagwali, a full-blown Nigerian whose patency was awarded in 2015. This means Nigeria has the patency to the world's fastest computer: a Black Nigerian. 9. The wealthiest Black man and woman on earth are Nigerians, Aliko Dangote and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija. Both have no trace of criminal record of any kind. 10. South Africa couldn't have ended apartheid & achieved Black rule if not for the leadership role Nigeria played. 11. Of the 3 South African Presidents who ruled after apartheid, two of them once lived in Nigeria under asylum. Both Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before becoming President of South Africa. We gave financial support, human support, boycotted an Olympics and our politicians, musicians and activists campaigned relentlessly. 12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion and lost hundreds of soldiers to end the wars in both Liberia and Sierra Leone which the world ignored because they have no oil. 13. When there was a coup in São Tomé and Príncipe in 2003, Nigeria restored the elected President back to power. 14. Before there were street lights in European cities, ancient Benin kingdom had street lights fueled by palm oil. 15. 500 years ago, Benin casted metal alloys to create magnificent art including the world famous Queen Ida Mask. 16. Amina was a warrior queen who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna state, Northwestern Nigeria 400 years ago in 1610. Google and see what she means to Africa. 17. We gave monetary gifts to Ireland during our oil boom and built a statue for France free of charge. We are not poor blacks. Nigeria is rich and don't be lied to. 18. The first television station in Africa was NTA Ibadan (1960) long before Ireland has their RTE station. ========= Wherever you look in this great country, Nigeria, heroes abound both now and in our recent and ancient past. If all you do is listen to mainstream Western media, you'll not get the full picture of your Nigerian heritage. Do not listen to any leader who says Nigerians are criminals, no matter who he is, or his height and position. We're not a nation of scammers, drugs & corruption, but a people with a verifiable track record of greatness. ========== Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera and western media will not tell you about Nigerians: 19. On the 7th May, 2016 at Howard University in Washington D.C history was made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of them were Nigerians and out of 27 awards given, 16 went to Nigerians. They will only tell you how Nigerians are scammers and cheats, how Nigerians are into drugs overseas et al. If you don't blow your trumpet, no one will blow it for you. VIVA NAIJA!!! 20. There are over 180,000,000 Nigerians world over and only less than 250,000 of this figure have traceable criminal records. This is about 0.14% of our entire national population in the last 20 years: nothing close to 1%. Shame on global media. Listen Nigeria, dont let anybody woo you into believing that you are a criminal just because you are a Nigerian. Nigerians are NOT criminals. You are NOT a criminal. You are topnotch; second to none around the world. Be proud of Nigeria wherever you go. Take out your Passport with pride. Be proud of our GREEN HERITAGE. Be enthusiastic of our FUTURE GREATNESS #CelebrateYourNigerianness! NIGERIA: GREAT NATION, GOOD PEOPLE!!!! If you truly believe, kindly add anything else that you remember about Nigerians and the greatness of Nigeria... Lalasticlala Mynd44 seun kindly do the needful to let Nigerians out there knows their worth! Thanks. Credit: Oluwaloni Peter |

eyinjuege:In as much as I don't like to say but you are full of yourself Ms. Have a great weekend ahead |
eyinjuege:Thanks so much for pointing that out. Holier than thou ![]() And ishilove at least I denoted #Copied at the end of that article to show I'm not the original poster and never for once did I take the credit of being the original poster and for that I'm still sorry. www.nairaland.com/3271940/bride-price-dignity-eye-opener |
Permit me to use this Topic as referral to the topic I copied here yesterday on bride price and its necessity. First of all, bride price is a money you paid to a parents of a lady for the upbringing of their ward as well as price for the dignity and pride of a lady (my opinion) To those saying the issue of sex is overrated and over flogged, you may be right but there are some points I would like to iron out here. 1. Sex is not overrated it is actually the basis of a marriage. A happy home sometimes depends on it. If not why would couples be over the heads of each other over infidelity? Why Don't be deceived no one would want a hawker of apple as a wife.2. It takes some understanding and trust to fully have faith in a woman that was once a peddler of goodies. How would you feel knowing that your friends have been to your destination more than you can imagine? 3. Body counts to me is not a trophy. So stop sharing that thing. Now back to the original topic, Bride price has always been a customary thing which will always be. And I am not disputing that fact so far you want to be a proud husband, it's a must for you to pay. Be ready to pay it even if you will be spared by the Yorubas or scared by the igbos What we are paying for is pride and the dignity not the sex or vag!na of the lady but all the same where is that pride and dignity when you cannot account for the numbers of men that have passed inbetween those laps? Where is the pride when my friends can actually tell, virtually all the lines in your body? Fine! Some ladies were actually unfortunate to have fallen victims of vultures among men. But you don't need to hop from one man to another hoping to find a better man by so doing. Believe me trial and error method only leaves the pages of papers with inks. So wait for that perfect time for that man. He will surely come. After all the patient dog eat the fattest bone. Speaking as a man, we don't really care about the aftermath emotions of sexual activities, some of us if not all are wired to be polygamous in nature hence the ability to hop from one lady to another without any string attached even while still single. It is ladies that bears the mark and shame of the whole affairs. The rods may not likely bend but the bowl may become elongated! As for the men, I don't see any point for us wanting a virgin whereas we've devoured anything devourable . To me you reap what you sow and you must pay the price for what you buy. After all, those you've met and mate will also be hooked up by someone. Come to think of it, is there any differences among those Vag!na you are smacking? Hell no! So why the fvck are you randomly sampling those innocent girls? And as for those calling for my head for being a hypocrite, I'm not. I still have my HONOUR as A MAN OF HONOUR that I am! I may have fallen and stuttered but I can still stand anywhere to beat my chest and boast of my pride and ego!And those men who are righteous and celibate enough to keep their beds clean, the probability of you getting a clean wife for yourselves is even. So if fortunate enough to get one, congratulations and if not, well, bear it. It is your cross. The bottom point is this we are paying for the pride and dignity any other things involved are appendages. Nobody I mean man would want you to bring bore holes of stinking water into his home. We men are full of Ego. If we are lucky to find for ourself a virgin fine and if not fine we stay contented with it. Stop being a victim. Play wise and use your brain. Enough said. DandyWalker thanks for the inspiration. ishilove thanks for the stick and those labeling men with pride and ego as poverty strikes mentality fellow please don't be bitter anymore. it's their opinion and they are entitled to every piece of it. It is you that I will advice to be an advocate of self esteem. Good morning to you lalasticlala |
smiliyB:Arabinrin fimi diwon baba e Nile kee |
chocolateme:This man you be real comedian o. ![]() |
If only I repeat if only some Nairalanders could laid their arms on me today ehn? Anyway It is a free world and everybody is entitled to his or her opinion. I copied this topic and post it here on Nairaland not even knowing that Dandywalker is the original poster and I happened to just want to know some opinions about level of moral decadence in our society. I cannot say we shouldn't pay bride price of our ladies after all I go soon pay hers soonest but I'm of the opinion that our ladies should soft peddler on immorality.(though I am not a saint as ishilove pointed out but she doesn't seems to know the meaning of sarcasm). So fellow Nairaland guys follow the custom, pay the bride price and fulfill all righteousness. AFTERALL GIVE UNTO CESAR WHAT IS CESAR'S. Bye |
DandyWalker:Dr Victor, I will check on you when next I'm in Ekiti. Presumably upper week. |
armadeo:The first person to answer my question the way I want. |
smiliyB:I've been waiting for sticks and arrows from you ladies. You really don't have to vent the anger on me. After all I wasn't there when you were busy shouting hallelujah with your legs upward I'm not holy but I'm just trying to let y'all know that not all us cares to marry bore-holes. Endeavor to keep it at the minimum level. You are free to do whatever you wish with any damn body, that's none of my business. Just pointing out to some moral for una. |
Joavid:You are a big fool and pained fellow as your post purportedly shows. Better fix unaself. |
DandyWalker:Didn't said ur FB wall. Said FB |
radia2016:I won't trade words with you. Must you abuse? You really need to visit a counselor for help on your temperaments. |
craziebone:I really hope you could give your daughter this sort of education soonest. |
pacino26:Tell them my brother! |
legalspices:To your first question, I should be able to count 3 decades of years for you. Secondly, I've LOST COUNTS (Sarcasm) Thirdly, I bought tear rubber. But you don't have to vent all your anger on me. The topic is all about keeping your dignity tight and not keeping your virginity. Many virtuous ladies are out there and have lost their virginity due to one avoidable or unavoidable circumstances but they are still with their pride! I'm not saying I must marry virgin but hell no I can't marry a flat with borehole. @the bold part, you know weekend don come naw and mammy no dey around so I must to survive ![]() |
Kbels:If actually you are talking about Karma it doesn't apply here. Face it, I'm not clean but I've got grace and you know the rest ......clean slate |
DandyWalker:Not really but you sounds like someone I knew from Ijero Ekiti |

If its around 20-- you must know Jimmy for gotham then
. Real man knows how to love a woman and does not use sexual history as a criteria, real man knows he is paying not for her sexual purity but becos he luvs her, she is willing to change her last name n bear his name, carry is baby for 9 months, stand by him through the bad and good times, cook for him even though she is working n coming home tired, take care of the kids wen they r sick or healthy, she prays for him to be successful and the lists go on. I think u should grow up and really think of what u want in a woman, ur type will be unfaithful becos the only thing u value in a woman is sexual purity after that what next? How can sex determine ur ego n esteem
