I would have said the cassava was not well processed but they cant be the only one who bought the garri in the market . . .then something went wrong in the meal/soup.
If the maid was alive, she would have been the suspect but she also died.

My only concern is why detain the landlord and his son?
Were they the ones who made the food or is it an error for a landlord to live in his house again? Meanwhile, they dont even share apartments. angry

Politicsman-lover Nigerian Chika Nwafor Divorces German Husband by oludashmi(op): 2:44pm On Aug 03, 2011
The 2 year old man-lover marriage between Nigerian Chika Nwafor and German Marc Schwarz is over. Fearless Chika tells Stella Dimoko Korkus all about it.
Chika: ''Finally I am free but still a close friend to Marc but I live on my own now. I can't stand his cheating anymore and I moved out with our son Boris. We are finally signing our divorce by Wednesday july 27, 2011. But we are still friends and I need my life to cope and bring my son up well.

On what he's getting from the divorce
Chika: ''I am getting where I am living now with my son Boris which is a 3 bedroom flat, my car, my shop, Boris' up keep and him paying me for the next 6 months. Isn't that ok for me? Let him continue f***king around as I don't care anymore.''

Chika continues
''Am single and seriously searching for a honest, sincere and genuine one and not those that will only lay me in bed and take advantage of me or start demanding money like Nigerian guys are doing. I saw it coming and The fact is that am not shocked at all neither does he even care but the best of it is am on my own once again. My son is all the happiness I have ''
Asked what he will do if Marc wants him back, Chika replies:'' Even if Marc begs I am sorry I don't want him anymore, I am through with him. I have taken the decision to move on and this time I think I will settle with a Nigerian who stays close to me here(stuutgart) he seems to care and loves me''
He says Marc was bossing him around: ''Sure Marc used to order me around, though he loves me but still that Ego in him I hate but it is all in the past now as far as am concerned. The sister said I should forgive but I said its over, at least let him respect me for once. I have feelings and am a human being and not an animal or object of sex or his intimacy gadget which he uses 3times every night and even upon that still has the guts to bring some NaughtyWoman man to my bedroom. I am okay the way I am, at least no more pains all over my body after three rounds of sex every night.''

PoliticsSix People Found Dead After Eba Meal by oludashmi(op): 12:41pm On Aug 03, 2011
After what was supposed to have been a delicious family supper, eaten amidst hearty jokes and giggles, six members of the Umunna family in Uli, Anambra State, were found dead.
Those that were found dead after the unfortunate meal were Mrs Caroline Umunna, Madam Lucy Obodoeke, Miss Modesta Umunna, Miss Uchenna Umunna, Master Chisom Okorie and Ozioma, their house maid.
For Mr Charles Umunna, the head of the family, who is still in shock, penultimate Thursday night will remain green in his memory as a bitter reminder of the cruelty fate brought him.

Umunna, a staff of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), Awka, whose wife, Caroline Umunna; two daughters, Uchenna, a first year student of Public Administration, Anambra State University and her sister who just finished School Certificate Examination and UTME; his in-law, Mrs. Lucy Obodoeke, who came for medical treatment; cousin, Chisom Okorie; and maid, Miss Ozioma Marcel;  who joined the family three weeks earlier, were found mysteriously dead on Friday, it is a pathetic situation he is trying hard to comprehend.
Possibly because of their trauma and excruciating grief, Umunna and his remaining three children two boys and one girl, have relocated to the house of the Catholic Priest of St. Gregory's Catho-lic Church, Eziama Uli, Rev. Fr. Joel Ibebuike.

When the Nigerian Tribune  encountered him in the sleepy village, Umunna, who was still enveloped in grief, was shedding tears, especially when he saw the pictures of his wife and children.

According to Umunna, who responded to questions in an emotion-soaked voice, it was on Friday evening that his wife's cousin called him that she got to their house and there was no sign of any soul in the house. Then he asked the girl to check their shop, the girl said she had checked the shop but didn't find anybody there. Umunna said the girl told him that her inquiry revealed that the neighbours had not seen any member of the family throughout that day.
He said he became agitated and called his wife. However, though the wife's hand-set was ringing, no one picked it. He became furious and was querying why his wife would always fail to pick her call.

It was at that juncture, that he called his landlord to check his family members, and the landlord called back to tell him that the door of his house seemed to be locked from inside. The landlord's son called again to inform him that it appeared that there was no one inside his house.

This, he said, was about 9p.m and it was raining heavily in Awka, so there was no way he could return that night. The following morning, being Saturday, he went to the village with his two other children, who were on holiday with him in Awka. He had already called his first son, Desmond, who is a Computer Science student at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, to join him at home.
Before he could reach home, the police had forced the door open and packed the six corpses into an ambulance for the purpose of depositing them in a mortuary.
A demoralised Umunna disclosed that for the past 25 years, his family had lived in Eziama Uli, as he moved from one state to another on transfer in the course of his work, although he packed to the present place three months earlier.

The CPC, through its Zonal Director, South-East, Enugu, Mr. Sam Tamuno, had visited the family and taken sample of the food they ate on the fateful night to analyze its content. Tamuno, who signed the condolence register, was said to have promised to conduct investigation into the substances they ate, while the police are conducting autopsy on the corpses.
Umunna said that he had handed over everything to God, but his greatest consolation would be to get to the root of the cause of the death of his family members who he vowed would not die un-avenged.

Desmond, the first son of Mrs Caroline Umunna, who was battling to control his emotions as he was the only one consoling the father and siblings, lamented that he never knew he was going to lose his beloved ones in one instance and in that circumstance. He added that he had ominous signs that things were not well in the family but did not know the extent when his father called him in the early hours of Saturday to come home immediately.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Anambra State Police Command, Mr. Emeka Chukwuemeka, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), said that the homicide section of the command was investigating the matter.

Already, Desmond had made a statement on behalf of the family at Awka, while the landlord and his son, who were in the compound during the incident, had equally made their statements, and were still being detained at the time of this report.

You have said this piece of rubbish before and we corrected you. Mind you, there is no place called Ogwuachuwku in Igboland but Ogwashi Ukwu. Tell your confused friends that Ogwashi Ukwu is the home town of Amb Ralph Uwechue-President gen of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo (the top most position in Igboland). It is also the home town of NGOZI Okonjo now Iwuala and Jay-Jay Okocha. They are all proud Igbo people. While Kwale is the home town of Sunday Oliseh, the captain accused of running Igbo mafia in Super Eagles. Sunday Oliseh's mother in Lagos is one of the leaders of Ohanaeze women's wing in Lagos. Kwale is also the home town of Hon Oputa- one of the founding fathers of Igbo state union now Ohanaeze.
From your post, I can understand that you hang out with illiterates and those who do not know their left from their right. It is Igbo and the language is Igbo. The plural of an Igbo is Ndigbo. For the third time, understand this simple logic.
Save yourself some breath Andre. . .dont give up.
Everyone is entitled to his own opinion. If this is your opinion and pple around me say go ahead and call whatever, is it my fault? You guys should organise a worldwide conference and address this. Until then, we will pick words from your mouths.
Christianity EtcRe: RCCG Founder's Family Wants Election For Pastor Adeboye's Successor by oludashmi(f): 3:49pm On Aug 02, 2011
WhyAWhy:
I always try to be objective in life,  my own father is a well established man and rich in his own way,  I am pursuing my life personally with minimal help from his side but  I still have his support if I require,  when I finally get established tomorrow was it because of my own father's riches? So take away Adeboye's son from this, I am sick and tired of people trying to mentally figure out why someone has to be properous in life or not

If Akindayomi's family require support it shouldn't even be a public knowledge because to start with,  we were not told that the Church started and has been sustained on Akindayomi's Wealth so what's all this crap about "compensation". I am trying to imagine Azikwe or Awolowo's family holding nigeria to ransom because dem papa had a hand in Naija's walk to freedom. Mschew
kalokalo:
RCCG is a registered charity or not-for-profit. It is therefore unheard of that the children and grand children of the founder of RCCG want the organization to be accountable to them. It is like saying that the descendants of the founder of the International Red Cross should control and eat from the organization. An incorporated organization is by law distinct from its founders and is a legal entity / person

The only thing I can support is if the late Pa Akindayomi has a surviving widow, then the church should support her till she dies. The kids and grand kids are already pastors in RCCG  so what more do they want.  Pastor Adeboye's kids cannot take over from him when he passes on. The church will continue to be run by someone else. The leadership of a church is not something to be toyed. The Celestial Church of Christ is an example!
Exponental:
End time!
Forgetting dat d church is not Adeboye's but God's.

Money, lead me not into destructn!

These set of  LASTA Officials, I guess, they have lost their bearing and have misplaced their focus. They should go after the reckless BUS drivers on the 3rd Mainland Bridge and the crazy OKADA riders who are killing people in their hundreds across the state. I think, these guys should be investigated by EFCC as soon as possible.
1. You can enrol for the job and teach them by doing it better.
2. When you get there, see a bicycle riding on a one-way and on a major road and smile at it.
3. Go over the pix with intelligence and decide if the OP is right.
PoliticsRe: Pictures: LASTA Officials Arresting Bicycle Riders For One Way! by oludashmi(f): 1:29pm On Aug 02, 2011
As long as you are driving or riding something on a major road, even if it is an ordinary tyre, you should not go one way. Not just because of Lastma but cos of your life and other pple's lives and properties.

BUT ARE YOU VERY SURE THEY ARRESTED HIM FOR THAT REASON? angry
Cos the pictures above looks like a bit of accident (the back tyre of the bicycle in the last pics looks bent) or distraction with a car. . .Compare the scene with the well dressed guys that came down from their car. Its definitely an accident!

You cant just snap pix on your way and insinuate any story around it.

To be frank. . . .
Some pple say the pple are igbo while the language is ibo
Some former school colleagues said igbo or ibo depends on where you are from
An Agbor lady recently said to me that the abia, anambra, enugu, ebonyi and imo (SE states), are igbo while the Aros are ibos. But the Kwales and Ogwuachuwku said they are neither ibo nor igbos.

So, cos I cant ask someone for his state before addressing him, I just call any that comes to my mind undecided undecided.
CultureRe: Who Are The Yoruba In Benin Republic? by oludashmi(f): 5:50pm On Aug 01, 2011

There is Yoruba in Benin but they are small. It is about the size of two local govt areas in Ogun state. The three major ethnic groups are found outside Nigeria. For example, Yoruba in Benin, Igbo in Equatorial Guinea and Hausa in Niger republic.
See your ignorance in public Andre Uweh.

Mind you, Yoruba is a major tribe in Benin Republic. They will tell you they are Yoruba, I communicate and negotiate goods in Yoruba anytime I go there. Yoruba is one of the 4 major tribes in Benin. The separation was as a result of the Berlin conference of 1895. When Africa was scrambled over and divided with a ruler on a straight line without regards for their cultural similarities.

Meanwhile, this thread is not about competition of where one tribe in Nigeria or the other is found. So keep your ibo and hausa info for another thread.

You are just being stu.pid, nothing more. If you ar to make a proof, do the pictures prove either, infact the pictures exposed the truth?
Christianity EtcRe: Guess Who This Armed Dude Was Protecting. Pic by oludashmi(f): 10:45am On Jul 26, 2011
From all indication, the picture is nothing to do with Pastor Adeboye!!

The guy in the picture is only a fan to Pastor Adeboye, Segun Gele and many others as we can see in the pix. . . .there is nothing to show that he was guarding Pastor Adeboye.

The customised plate number car has "Mesnger" written on it. That is enough proof to me cos the pastor wont write Mesnger instead of Messenger and the Pastor doesnt use a customised plate number.

The comments under the pictures have nothing to do with any Pastor or that he is guarding Pastor Adeboye. Infact, his comments and friends comments have given him away.

Take a critical look at the pictures, the guys bible verse and comments under it, and you will imagine how that has to do with any pastor or the pastor in question.

If it were the days of Oshiomole, he would have granted today and call it off by afternoon. That will make the governments take the right decisions at the right time subsequently.

Anyway, I am disappointed cos I didnt prepare for it knowing that they will call it off in the midnight as usual and I stated it here yesterday . .https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-716278.0.html
