Oya,give us the genesis of d matter

The genesis of the matter is on the comment section of the bloggers that carried the news on IG.

First, this is not a lady but a guy.

Secondly, the issue wasn't about switching off phone. The guy had mistakenly entered the class where the lecturer was taking a class thinking that was where he was having his own class.

Noticing the error, he apologized and made to leave.

But the lecturer, seeing the guy on dreads, beckoned on him to return and the matter escalated quickly as the lecturer formed an opinion that the student was trying to impersonate another student and didn't erroneously enter the lecture room.

The lecturer refused the student exit and called on the school's security to pick him up. In a bid to defend himself, he thought to make a phone call and that was when all you see in the video ensued.

And before you say I am making this up, there is video evidence to support this.

I need help on how to receive monies from a friend of mine in Ghana,I'm really confused and need help to receive it to my bank account in Nigeria.

Your suggestions are highly welcomed, any way apart from crypto.

Do you have a Wema Bank Account? If yes, receive money in Nigeria from Ghana through PAPSS - Pan African Payment & Settlement System.

Just give the sender your Wema Bank naira account number and ask the person to send through PAPSS at his or her bank.

Politics / Re: Details Of The Student Loan Bill Signed By President Tinubu by Oluwapresley(m): 8:47pm On Jun 12, 2023
Hamachi:

Student loans are a financial burden which does not quite make sense on a pure accounting basis. So, you have signed up for a loan (a liability, surrender of your future earnings) and you have nothing to show for it. On the other hand, when you take a loan on a house (a mortgage), you have a liability (a mortgage) and an asset (a house), so when things get tough, you can sell the asset to cover that liability. And in a worst case scenario, you simply file for bankruptcy and walk away from it - with a beaten up credit score, but you recover fully in about 7 years (in US, bankruptcy is removed within 7 years from the person's credit profile). Easy. Simple. Elegant.

Now, we have a student loan. You take a loan and you spend money. You gain nothing tangible - no assets. You have an expectation of future earnings, but it's not a guarantee. However, once you are out of school, loan is due - regardless of whether or not you have means to pay for it, such as a job. Now, when things get very tough - let's say you need to pay rent and you need to eat and you would like to get a family - but the student loan is still there, and it's not going away. You can't discharge it in a simple bankruptcy. You can't make it go away in an easy way - it's a forever burden.

Summary

When we reach the point where politicians are running for office on a platform of, “free college for everyone,” you know that we have gone past the tipping point. “Free” college is just going to throw kerosene on this fire.

We are seeing some cracks around the edges, e.g. coding bootcamps and startup apprenticeships like Praxis, but what is needed is a better educated consumer.

PS

I saw a question on career section this afternoon. “Should I go to school X or school Y? (Money is an object, but I might get some financial aid at school Y.)”

School Y’s cost of attendance is more than twice that of school X. No thought of can I afford either one of these schools? No thought of preparing a financial analysis. We have a generation of irresponsible morons whose parents are mentally absent. That’s why we have a financial aid crisis.

💭Leadership is not about seeking personal glory, instead its about taking responsibility for the people you are in charge of.

🎯Some key takeaways:

✔️Responsible leaders take accountability for their actions. Instead of blaming others, they identify the problem and try to fix it.

✔️Therefore, to become responsible leaders professionals must remember to take accountability for actions and stop blaming others for their mistakes.

✔️One of the foremost qualities in a successful employee or leader is a willingness to accept Responsibility for one's actions and behavior, good or bad.

✔️Taking Responsibility means making decisions, taking action, setting high standards, learning from our mistakes and always doing what we say.

✔️Lastly, leadership is about setting an example. Let see his grandchildren, relatives & family members participate in these students loan

You are the epitome of what not to send to school. You are element of confusion! You ignorant element come online and concoct nonsense and fool many people who will read this write-up and because of what? You go to school and only pick the letters! Jeez! You should be ashamed of yourself! The countries you look up to have student loans and many other facilities. Because you do not understand the meaning of leverage, you come here and speak nonsense! Well, I think Peter went too far. He shouldn't have attacked Seun in the first place. It's a democracy we are practicing here. Support your candidate and allow others to support theirs.
But Seun too is wrong. Why insult Obi because Peter called you out?

But when it comes to talent, Seun is an ant compared to Peter. I've never heard any song of Seun's songs if he has any.

Anyway, I wonder the kind of insult they would have given the Igbos if Tinubu was an Igbo man and coming out for the presidency.

See how dumb you are. In terms of talent, Seun is an ant compared to Peter yet you say you haven't heard any of Seun's songs. Aren't you mad?

To cut the story short I landed a customer support job due to research I made online and I aced the interview...lo and behold I was sent a mail that I should resume on Monday but here I am having a panic attack as I did not know what to do since the job is a social science job but I am a technical person with engineering background. I am accepting the job because of the salary, financial challenge I am currently facing and the job is partly remote.

Please kindly share your experience with me if you ever work in a customer support centre and what software is used.

I understand the feeling. But trust me, you'd be fine.

Just take your time to learn about their products well. Once you have a grasp of the products, with great communication skills and empathy, you should be fine.

See? 3 things. Knowledge of the products, communication skills (listening and speaking) and empathy. Then you are good.

Lmao. I am not voting for Tinubu and would not vote for Buhari if given the chance.

But I share your thoughts. Nigerians are very closed minded. It goes without saying that a nation cannot enjoy the benefits of democracy without Education.

Many of the people that will vote in 2023 do not understand what development is. How do you expect them to identify a candidate that can give them that.

For me, I will be voting Omoyele Sowore in February.

Your submissions here are near-perfect.

Refinery construtions worldwide are led by the private sector with funding from a consortium of financial institutions like Dangote did. The government through CBN also provided funding and will in turn get dollars back from Dangote
Refinery and CBN will be able to curtain dollar outflows.

True! But the way I see it, Dangote should invest in the Refineries. Not the government directly investing (like actual cash injection) in private owned projects.

The arrangement seems like Dangote using Nigeria to achieve his business goals. It should be Nigeria leveraging private partnerships to actualise her goals.

One man is doing something a whole country has not been able to do and the nonsense country to make things funny, invested in the so called refinery instead of the other way around.

Well, since Nigeria is now a sufferhead country, let's hear up again. Smh

Politics / Re: Why Is Sowore Not Getting The Kind Of Favour And Fame Peter Obi Is Getting? by Oluwapresley(m): 12:00pm On Jan 12, 2023
mrvitalis:

Sowore is not stable what's exactly is his idea ?

It's your business if you agree or not but that's how Nigerians see him

A morgalu stands 20 times more chance to be President than sowore

You see why I say you and many Nigerians are dumb!

And where we have found ourselves today is a product of you and many dumb Nigerians!

Again, it's not about choice. Nigerians are free to elect whoever they want to elect. But it is about you not talking down on someone's character to prove a baseless point.

Kingsley Moghalu, where is he today? It took less than an election to kill his energy. He stand 20 times more chances than Sowore yet he cannot remain relevant in politics after a few campaigns. Fela Durotoye and the likes. Nowhere to be found today. You would have elected those and after 2 years in power, they are tired. Smh!

Democracy has never been about being sensible sadly. It's about majority votes. So if he has 20 times more chances than Sowore, it should not be strange to sane people. I mean. It is what it is.

Abeg. My reason for responding to you in the first place was because you associated things to Sowore that shouldn't be.

Other than that, you are not worth being engaged politically. It's evident by even your texts.

Nigeria will be great again. One way or the other. Obi or not.

Shalom!
Politics / Re: Why Is Sowore Not Getting The Kind Of Favour And Fame Peter Obi Is Getting? by Oluwapresley(m): 11:46am On Jan 12, 2023
mrvitalis:

In what planet will anyone choose sowore over a Peter obi in a presidential race ...tell me one reason ?

My response was never about choice.

It was about your baseless summation. "Sowore is lazy. How many interviews has he granted unlink Peter Obi"

Isn't this laughable? Smh. Perhaps you should go on his social media platforms and see things for yourself instead of saying things either out of dislike for him or ignorance.

If you were even enlightened, you would know first and foremost that Sowore is perhaps the most engaged presidential candidate. You would also know that he would have had so much more engagements if not that mainstream media deny him and many other seemingly low tiered candidates the opportunity to appear on their platform.

I don't know how old you are but if you also followed the 2018 elections, you would know that of all Presidential debates, he wasn't invited to any. He called out for invites but mainstream media denied him. It's the same thing playing out this year where special candidates are given preference. And you dare to say he is lazy?

Even at that, he still remains the most engaged presidential candidate. Perhaps, you need to go and verify. Go to your so called Obi social media platform and compare with that of Sowore.

It's okay to not support someone but do not disparage one's character.

Gosh! I can't believe this. Sowore that made town hall meetings popular in politics in Nigeria having travelled across the 36 states of the federation in 2018 and Diaspora with go fund me. You dare say he is lazy and hasn't granted interview.

Smh!

Then you say his ideas are not clear, coherent? Blah blah blah. I might be tempted to adjudge your inability to see clarify in his idea as you being just dumb! Cox if ideas clearly spelt out as those are still not clear, the issue isn't with the idea but with you!
