am curious please and have to ask when we say ATM in nigeria setting, is it the same as ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) where we insert card, put in your PIN and then the amount of cash you need to take out?

If so why not just go straight to the machine and get your money instead going inside to queue and have the cashiers act up to customer?  cool

FashionRe: Are Hair Products Made Under-seas? by omoge(f): 2:51pm On Jun 26, 2007
i read that book too as a very young teenager some years back. it was a bit scary reading it but i doubted every ounce of it especially the mermaid thing. ignorant is what is eating us deep in our african society. i said african society because so many funny things eg sleep with a day old baby and be cured of AID. Ecoli kill many in our society because of the way we handle sewage. there are no good medical equipment to know what took a life in many cases. And then we blamed it on winchcraft abi na witchcraft.

for those who don't know, some of those hair products are made from synthetic (layman's language RUBBER). others are made from real human hair (ladies in india donate their hair for money). so poster, there is nothing made under the sea. maybe those that are winch go to winch to make their hair but they still go to the stores ( grin) to buy it  grin

Free yourselves motherland children, educate yourself and free your mind  cool

oyb, that was well put smiley

i hope they improve cuz it's not fair at all the way they treat their customers.

some use their job to get away from their house and patner.

uspry1, your experience is interesting. maybe your ex husband is broke that's why he is always working. and one thing is those who work too much most time don't have anything to show for it. not even happiness  undecided
FashionRe: Are Hair Products Made Under-seas? by omoge(f): 5:06pm On Jun 25, 2007
yeah and it is the ignorant that is making Nigeria what it is today. with all the superstition and the rest, look at where we are today in Africa. and they say dread is evil too. lipsticks is from evil blood etc what a thang!

even the afari they do still doesn't make the country better or evil less

it will be easy to say oh those thing brought from overseas might not do well on our hair because of the weather too hot (persuasive enough)
everything there is evil this and evil that.

someone just dropped dead and they will say it's evil not knowing that disregarding common hygiene and hygiene 101 (as we do in nigeria) could kill someone instantly.

TravelRe: Desperate to Travel to Europe by omoge(f): 2:04am On Jun 25, 2007
everybody is desperate to travel out. something just shocked me. there is a lady i know who preach in church. she is an elder and one of the pastors. just last month, she sent her passport to her sister, she also sent money for flight ticket and other stuffs. because she felt the sister looked like her. the sister traveled and arrived in italy. she was question and then sent back home. her journey to Manitoba was not cut short in italy! can you see how wasteful some families are? even in this age? and the older sister is a preacher.

the money poured into all this agency (ies), babas, helpers etc would go a long way if use for worthwhile things. if you are destined to leave the country, one don't need all that waste.
