If they knew the guy is lawyer they wouldn't have dared. Look at this scenario: a lawyer charges a client a certain amount as professional fee, after so much haggle, the client agrees to pay 20% as full and final. The lawyer grudgingly accepted the 20%. He gave the client his account details and the money was transferred. He got the money, entered a keke and he was silently praying that God should bring another client quick before he runs out of this cash, all of a sudden he noticed some abnormal behaviour from his co-passengers. Even if those guys are not thieves, the lawyer is bound to suspect them. Thank God they were not lynched, hopefully they will turn new leaf in Prison. |
Government should ban the use of headphones/ earphones in the Public immediately. Death arising from its use in the public is on the increase. I know some people will argue that whichever way, we would all die but some deaths are avoidable. |
Your topical question did not reflect in your discussion. Well Papa Awo introduced the Naira as I heard. May be you can suggest to PMB to change our currency to USD as British Pounds is a no go area for now. |
Okijajuju1:This memes is new on Nairaland. |
Sealeddeal:Please take one million likes for this. We commend the COAS for being able to come clean on the declaration of the property. Not many people can do this. However, he needs to come clean on how he got the money used in purchasing the property. How much is the property in question? How much is his salary now and over the years? If he earns a cumulative of N12m p.a, how much can he save after taking care of the family, school fees, maintenance etc? How much is he making from the snake farm? EFCC needs to investigate this. Most especially against the background that he once head post in connection with the fight against Boko Haram of which there have been accusation and counter- accusation of diversion of arms funds. |
seguntijan:Get thee behind me @ seguntijan. If Lagos Purchases my state, what will happen to all my documents bearing Ekiti as state of origin? Won't these Visa Officers think I am confused as to my state of Origin. What about my governor, would he now become 2nd deputy to the performing AMBO? " Abeg, abeg, abeg", dont even go near selling my state oh. |
This BVN guy is a scammer oh! I got to know this when I went to FIRS office in V.I, one old man was denying his transaction for the purpose of company income tax. The young man at the desk just asked '' Baba please give me your BVN?'' I was wondering why, it was there and then that it occurred to me that any Government agency can trace any of your banking transactions with just a click. |
CAPSLOCKED:Someone did similar action with Orbit chewing gum a couple of weeks back. |
sheedy407:Bros, that MP means Military Police, they are usually in charge of disciplining soldiers. If an ordinary soldier is brutal, then expect a Military Police officer to be "Brutest". Please pardon my use of English, I need to let you feel the impact in expression so that you won't feel it with your body. Don't mind his look oh! |
While I admit that the EFCC is doing extremely well, I want to advise against this sealing they are doing. I am of the opinion that once they take over properties acquired with diverted public fund, they should appoint a real estate firm or lawyers to manage on behalf of Government. I mean, after sealing, what happens to the fate of Nigerians working in those hotels, hospital, farm, those who rented shops in those Plazas? Is EFCC going to employ them? |
Ttrrffyyghuuh:Please don't kill me with laughter oh. My name is Zomogidi234. @topic, those saying this story is not true, they should ask anyone they know in Ekiti. Most especially people in politics or people who had knowledge of his first term. |
globexpo:I have learnt over the years to take Sahara Reporters serious. Countless of their news piece would be denied. At such times, they usually get more incriminating evidence. How they get their information and evidence is still a mystery to me. |
satelliteDISH:The enemy of my enemy is my friend. It is well. |
Mediapace:I have seen this picture a couple of times. I think it should be from one of these East African Countries- Kenya, Uganda etc. Funny pic though. |
fxskye:Please leave my Performing Governor alone. He must have called off the strike when they froze his personal account. At least, when Government releases fund to contractor for road construction, the contractor must show appreciation. |
Progressive01:Confirm. This happened to me sometimes in 89 or 90. Incidentally, it was in Christs' School Ado Ekiti. I was wired like 20 times in the Chapel. Not even a single drop of tears. I stood still. Come and see clapping. Na later body tell me. I nursed the wounds for like two weeks. In life, people always put up action to show that they are tough in the public, it is in their closet that you know they are lilly livers. |
There is a saying by the Yorubas, " he that is being sought to be roasted has now embedded his body with inflammable substance". Agreed that you arrested Buhari when IBB took over power and now he wants his pound of flesh. The question however is, are you being tried for arresting Buhari then or for an established case of diversion of public funds. Please go through your trial, if the Prosecution cannot prove thier case beyond reasonable doubt, then you have no case to answer. |
I saw things like these on WhatsApp last week, I dismissed it as rumours. Now on Nairaland. I think we should ignore the messenger and take the message. |
ettaetta:First and foremeost, I will like to inform you that If you have two or more wives, you cannot be accepted to have legally married all of them. What happens is that you are legally married to one and the rest may be under customs and religion. If you however, claim that you are legally married to all them, THAT IS BIGAMY. It is punishable under the Nigerian Law. It is just that most times our laws are not enforced. But Bigamy is really punishable in the UK where we copied almost 80-90 % of our laws- The English Law. Flowing from the fact that you cannot be legally married to all of them, it also means you cannot divorce them. "Nemo dat quod non habet"- you cannot give what you don't have. The best thing to do in this circumstance is to sit all of them down, explain to them the situation, retain the first (and ensure that she is legally married) and get an apartment for the rest. Continue to meet the needs including upkeep, school fees but stop every sexual relationship with them. You can even put them in your Will. But only the first should be under the same roof with you and must be legally married. This is my submission. |
![]() Please leave my governor alone. If he runs out of official money, the next point is personal money now. He said he is on strike, it appears he's run out of cash. He needs to re-stock to continue the strike. gen2briz: |
ikbnice:Just walk away. When you return and she is still boiling walk away again. It is better to be called coward husband than killer husband. |
GlorifiedTunde:Please check the records, Ooni and this King and Elegushi are Friends. I mean padi padi. I reckoned that Ooni and this King ascended the thrones through a similar influence. They were crowned some months after each other. So they should have similarities. |
lincolnj88:Please don't hold a view that TSA is the cause of the atomic job losses we are seeing in Nigeria. You may say other government policy or economic melt down but Not TSA. TSA is putting Federal Government earnings in one single account. Are you now saying without government money banks would have no money or would run out of business? If that is the case, their licences should be withdrawn and given to those who will run the business of bank as it is being run worldwide. |
iamauxin:Only God can deliver good dividend. Let us look to His Kingdom. @topic, I just returned from Ibadan and I am surprised that the brave display of Secondary School Girls from St Annes is not on anywhere on Nairaland ( at least not on front page). Those girls went to Baba's office and according to reliable sources, he was whisked out of his office to avoid them. I learnt they showed his wife pepper also. I am assuming that this is an arrangement with NURTW to show that Baba cannot be cowed. It is well. |
[quote author=kokoA post=46098554]** I Falz's voice** He iz hafraid of heFCC.[/quote That Folarin guy is serious. Have you seen his hemtn pulse advert? You will laugh. |
MosakuAW:Nairaland can analyse anything. |
These are good gestures form this State Government. I have seen these pictures and the ones of LASEMA. We should have agreement with mechanics across the state for prompt maintenance and repairs of these equipment. |
SANDOSKI:Your signature is great. God bless you. |
SAINTSAMURAI:I agree with your line of thought, however without being judgmental, this story might be true or not. I once saw a youtube video where the pastor was telling youth in his church that if you are committing sexual sin and armed robber shoots you, that you will land in heaven and not hell. That sexual sin only cannot take you to hell. With that at back of my mind, it would take some time before I can brush aside any sexual allegation against him. |
