Is it okay to maintain friendship after breaking up a relationship?
The lady I was dating broke up with me and still wants me to be close to her as always but it's eating me up and I don't know how to handle the situation.

The society world,

The reality world.
Please at all times, always know, that
the society world with all its dealings and activities are so fake, so untrue.
This is where the idea of men re superior comes in.
In the society world, you ll hear words like,
men re the head.
Its improper for a man to cry.
Men re superior.
A man can do whatever he likes in as much as he has the money.
These are the rules of the social world, that bites deep when anyone chose it, and start living their lives with it.
The society world have no real advantage to give anyone who choose it. it is only of advantage to them that created it...... And thats why you see who gets the advantage most in the society...
Because, when you chose the society world, the reality will bite such fellow.
And when you ignore the societal world, reality will favour such fellow.

The second world, which is the reality world, gives equality, tranquility, peace no ego, and no superiority.
But so many of our parents dont want to live the realistic life.
They chose the society life, and so they chose the society rules.
Rules like,
you re a man,
you re superior to a woman!
Its men's world....
These rules, keep making it hard and hard and hard by the day..
This will not change until we bring reality to the society, and bring equality to both gender, instead of superiority...

Come to think, how did I even meet you? First time I met you, the world seemed not to exist, nothing else matters with just the two of us in the cosmos. The world can move as fast as it wants, or it can wait, it is no concern of mine, so long as I have you beside me.

Everything seems to revolve around this person, you dream about them, in the day your thoughts are filled with them. Even when you are alone, you just laugh by yourself when you remember their face or something loving about them. And yes the mushy feelings that comes with love are the most beautiful; that butterfly that flutters in your stomach when you see the one your heart loves and of course your heart does multiple backflips when you just look at the person and you cannot just help it but to thank God for gifting you with this wonderful person of a human. And because you have this person’s love, you consider yourself the most lucky individual on earth.

The relationship progresses after the confession of feelings and profession of love and one day, you wake up from the bed, or halt midway while dicing an onion in the kitchen, and look up to your partner and then ask the question “how did I meet you anyway?”.

This is really funny, because it is legit and real. One minute we are head over heels with someone. The next minute, we cannot wait to have them out of our hair. They become the most annoying individual on earth. If you are in a relationship already you will find this is true. I mean, maybe before you were her knight in shining armour and she was the damsel in distress, but now she is a fierce woman and does not really need your help as she once did. And that seems to irk you a lot.

See, we tend to fall for the perfect image or character of the person we love. There is this ideal picture we have painted as a result of love, we have carved them out and placed them on the epicentre of our minds. We think the person to be flawless; this comes with emotional love though, it tends to blind us and impede our reasoning even though there are glaring evidences right in front of us.

So we go on and love that character in our heads, forgetting they are humans like us and then one day we wake up, viola!! The scales fallen from our eyes, our feet has touched earth again. We are jerked back to reality and then when we look at the love of our lives, we begin to ask ourselves “how on God’s green earth did I even choose this person?”

“Why?” Because we are back to reasoning, we now realise that the breath of the love of our lives, doesn’t smell like strawberries anymore or roses in bloom, rather they stink like that of a goat. We find that their snore even makes us wake up at night to ask them what is happening. We look at them and we are shocked. We do not know what is happening, how we met this person, how to remedy the situation or cope with the changes; Relax, it happens.

If you see getting into a relationship or you want to let yourself love, you can do yourself a favor by letting go of image of a perfect person in order not to be disappointed. I mean getting to know someone and adjusting to that person and their way of life is one hell of a work, but then, you do not want to sit down to cross off all you had on your list about your ideal person.

It is okay to have an idea of the kind of person you want, but what is not okay is you thinking that the ideal man or woman will be prince or princess chamming; and I mean charming in all sense of the word.

By now it should be no news to you that no one is perfect. Everyone is flawed one way or the other. Everyone has that streak which is going to be annoying to you. If you are looking to get a perfect partner, you are not going to see one. In fact, you will have to wait your whole lifetime to get one, and yet you will not see any; I kid you not. So in order not to get disappointed or box yourself in the corner, let go of those perfect pictures in your head, l’ve and love.

Now, this is not going to stop the surprises from popping up in your relationship. It is not going to stop your partner from farting and telling you they have lactose intolerance. Rather, it will make you look up at them and ask “how did I meet you anyway”, and they will shrug, and you will look into their eyes and realize how fortunate you are to have them in your life while you both laugh at each other, indeed, love happens at first sight.

I have been married for 9 years now, amidst several incidences that gave me suspicions over my wife's infidelity. The one that happened of recent gave me nothing more than great suspicion over any other.

My daughter and son got infection, they were admitted into the hospital. On this faithful day, I was there with them and I left the hospital in the afternoon to get something for them to eat, I got back with the food and quickly rushed down to my office to tidy some work. I felt hungry and decided to drive out, on my way to the restaurant leads to the hospital, I was in traffic when I put a call through to my wife whom I asked how she was coping and how the kids were doing, while on call with her, I heard sounds of car horns so I asked if she was out, she said yes that she was going to get water across the stree, so i was like you shouldnt have stressed yourself since
the house maid was with her, next thing she yelled at me saying why am I making ascertion as to who should go get the water or not, I was like but that isnt a big deal to ask, she was like well the house girl have been the one running errands all day, I responded saying instead of yelling at me, you would have just responded by saying the above.

As a responsible and concerned father, I decided to suspend dinner and branch at the hospital which took me 8 mins to get there because of traffic. On getting to the hospital, lo and behold, my wife was not there, just the kids and the house maid. I asked the house maid where madam was, she said she stepped out without saying where she was going. I immediately put a call through to her. "Babes where are you at, just got here now and you are not here". She immediately hung up on me, I called back, she didnt pick, called her again didn't pick, waited few mins and called, she picked and yelled "why are you looking for me" I was like but you claimed you went to
go get water but its been up to 15mins and you are not here yet, next thing she said was I'm in a uber car, Wow uber car when you just said you went across the street to get water, how does being in uber car relate to that. I requested a video call, I hung up the normal call and called her on whatsapp call, she didn't pick, I called her back again on normal call and said you aren't picking, she responded saying am in uber car now, call me on video again, I did but she still didnt pick. So I decided not to bother since declaring her whereabout seems frutile. She called back on normal call saying she was on her way home to pick some her items to quickly do an advertising shoot to model to her customers in the hospital room, that she didnt want me to get mad at her reason why she didn't tell me before she left, I was like its not a big deal telling me that after which I have found out she never did go out there to buy water.

Husbands and fathers in the house, in this kind of situation, what could have been your thought? As for me, something was not just right, and the most damning part of all these is leaving the kids at the mercy of just the house maid, I feel if there is something she is hiding from me and leaving the kids like that is what
the issue of trust has led us to, I am left in amazement and total disappointment.

i date to marry now, not date to waste time, money, energy and resources.
You didnt have a tangible reason for dating, but she needs a reason, she saw it elsewhere and went for it.

Good day fellow nairalanders, I am currently so vexed right now and pissed.
I have been damn broke for a while due to the fact that I haven’t been getting lots of logistic jobs these days.
I noticed that my personal fund has been going into the business to keep it moving and now that I have exhausted my options, I am being left with the worries of paying my workers month end, because they don’t care and they will collect their pay whether there is work or not.

Today early this morning a client paid her cumulative debt of 25000 into my account and I was smiling Cos I know that I will be able to pay one rider month end. However, to my greatest, it is on this same day that my riders have brake pad issues, the need to change oils and the most annoying of all is that my phone fell off my hand on this same day o, so 25k in 25k out, I no even see shawarma bUy inside the money Cos I had to immediately go nd fix the screen of my phone .
SHEY NA JUJU BE THIS ? Cos I remember say pastors used to say to pray against this kind thing abi na VILLAGE PEOPLE abi Na just COINCIDENCE.

Try to stop collecting money from her or feeding from the business.

From the experience you shared, you are not fair,
he asked for a loan which you have the capacity to lend to him, why didnt you lend him?
You earning more than him is cool if you help him with it, and you see that he is making good use of it, thats all that matters, is he using the money well?
Is he productive with it?
If yes, then i see no reason why you should just quit the relationship,,
so you quit because you re richer? Than him, so you quit for the same reason you want to enjoy, you also want a man that is richer than you, so you could take from him?
Self-centredness, thats it, its not an attribute of love.
Do you want to count how many woman, man has raised up financially from nothing?
Put it in ratio and you ll realise that men has done far more.
My point is, there's no big deal in a woman earning more than a man, and to
help him with it, just be sure that he's using it well, thats all.
And thats a real woman, you re a helper, the help can be financially, emotionally, psychologically, physically or spiritually.
Which ever way you are capable of helping him, do it, and do it well, and be sure the you see the impact of your help.
You failed there.
You failed at a chance to raise someone up, and make him walk, especially the one you loved.

every sect of religion has its own bad eggs.
Just that the ratio is higher in some, than in others.
Some Pentecostal church goers do ritual, while some dont, same as mfm, christ embassy, cac, cheribum, celestial, catholic, etc.
Although the ratios re higher in some than others, but it is someone that will do his/her assignment very well to know whom you want to date, there.
