bros I'm going from Lagos. I have actually gone from Lagos to Abuja on a Sunday, reached at night, slept in the motor park (it is fenced and gated with some security guards and other "sleepers') attended interview on Monday, used night bus, reported to work on Tuesday morning.

there are hotels of 4k-5k in Abuja. worse case scenario is that they are not so close to the city centre and you will need to head out very very early in the morning

this na Naija. no dulling.

Thanks bro

Bros, you attract what you think. Magnetic law..lol cheesy

Please clear your mind of damaging thoughts like..you can't get a job unless you know someone. It's awkward!

Change that mindset and you will realise there are so many opportunities out there. My friends are working in places you can't even imagine.

World bank. UN. Total. ExxonMobil. Microsoft. Google. Nestle. What else? We all don't know anyone. We dont even want to know.

Since we finished school years ago, and realize we don't have big uncles, we don't have any option but to work hard, and work smart. The results are glaring.

Go for the interview. Put in your best. Convince yourself you will get the job. You are competent, bold and daring. And pray.

When you finish the interview, remove your mind from it and focus on other things.

If they call.you for the job, good for NNPC. If they don't call you, their loss. They just lost a gem.

Thanks bro. God bless you

No risk, no reward they say..

If you've been following this thread for a while u'll have been convinced to remove every man-know-man mentality... Give it a try at all cost if indeed its your career dream, u applied for the job, u thought over before applying, man-know-man mentality didnt stop u from applying and writing the cbt.. Now at the penultimate stage of acheiving your dream job, U're giving up...

On the other hand u could give up and continue to follow this forum as things unfold and my testimony in a bit, will convince you towards giving it ur all in the next phase of recruitment..

Good morning people.

I got an invite for the oral interview. But I'm not really convinced abt going.

I stay in Ibadan. Going all the way to Abuja will demand a lot at this time. I will have to take permission from my present work place, to be absent for at least three days. Also, financially I'm not that buoyant. Accommodation in Abuja for at least a night is also a challenge. Plus the report I read on the previous recruitment thread is not encouraging. Its more like a man-know-man thing than merit recruitment.

I can still defy all this and "rugged" everything to attend the interview, but my nairaland people, the question is, "is it really worth the stress"?

Please advise.

If true I'd be disappointed.

He has not won the champions league since Barca.

He failed with Bayern and has with City.

Make no mistakes, with all of the domestic success in England, he has spent enough to win the champions league or at least play in the final.

True. He messed it up this just concluded season with that first leg match against Tottenham, it should have been Man City vs Liverpool for this year UCL final.. Or Man City vs Barcelona sef.

But don't you think he has a brighter chance of winning the champions league with Juventus...

1. Mane Firmino Salah

2. Mane Origi Shaquiri

Let's just hope and pray Ververde produces another masterclass tactics.. Even if it is Shaqiri and Sturridge we have to deal with, they may just be extra-gingered to play against FCB. Don't forget say na man u team B beat PSG at home o.

But I know come what may, Barca will play in the final

FC Barcelona has officially announced the signing of 20-year-old fullback Emerson from Atlético Mineiro for 12 million euro. The club also said he will play on loan to Real Betis and has signed for 5 seasons.
Mundo Deportivo had reported that Barcelona and Betis collaborated on the signing. Emerson, who has been called up to Brazil’s U-20 squad, would first play on loan to Betis until the end of the season, at which point both Barça and the verdiblancos would pay six million euro each to exercise an obligatory purchase clause. From then on, Emerson would remain at Betis unless Barcelona decided to activate a clause they have to purchase him outright for 9 million euro, which would be an option available for two seasons.

However, in the official announcement, Barcelona did not discuss any deal of that sort. They simply stated they purchased his rights for 12 million and would loan him to Betis.

At the moment, the player would count against the non-EU limit that La Liga has in place. There is said to be no place for the right-back in the team. The player will reportedly join Betis on the 13th or 14th of February once the 2019 South American U-20 Championship ends on the 10th. Éric Abidal was said to have been one of the key men pushing for the deal on the Barça side.

Barcelona currently have Neélson Semedo and Sergi Roberto at right-back, plus Senegalese international Moussa Wagué in the B team.

The teenager was expected to move to Camp Nou in July, but Barca have snapped him up at the end of the window after striking a deal with his club

Barcelona have confirmed that Toulouse youngster Jean-Clair Todibo will join the club immediately after bringing forward a transfer previously agreed for the end of the current season.

Todibo, 19, was out of contract at the Ligue 1 side in June 2019, and had already struck terms with Barca to move on a free transfer when his current deal expires.

But after negotiations between the two clubs, the Catalans have now revealed that he will be presented as a new signing in the current window.

The 19-year-old will sign for the next four and a half seasons, through the end of the 2022/23 season.

Todibo will be presented as a Barca player on Friday and will wear the No. 6 jersey vacated by Denis Suarez when the midfielder moved on loan to Arsenal.

Todibo is the second defensive signing of the current window for Barcelona, who also recruited Valencia's Jeison Murillo on a loan deal.

Born in Cayenne, French Guyana, the player came up through the ranks of the Toulouse youth system after moving to the team in 2016.

This season he established himself in the heart of the Toulouse defence, but strained relations at the club with his refusal to sign a new contract.

The teenager made 10 starts in Ligue 1 for his club prior to being frozen out of the first team in November, scoring one goal.

BREAKING: Denis Suarez joins Arsenal on loan after extending his Barca contract

Denis Suarez joins Arsenal on loan until the end of the season after winger agrees contract extension at Barcelona until 2021.

Suarez has joined Arsenal on loan until the end of the season but the Gunners have the option to make the move permanent for £18m in the summer.

'FC Barcelona and Denis Suárez have reached an agreement for the extension of the player's contract with the club, which ended on 30 June 2020, until 30 June 2021,' the Spanish club said in a short statement on Wednesday afternoon.

'FC Barcelona have also agreed a loan deal for Suarez with Arsenal for the remainder of the 2018/19 season. The Premier League club will pay the player's salary during this time and the agreement includes an option to buy.'

The midfielder, 25, who has one cap for Spain, has also agreed a new contract with Barcelona in order to protect his market value should the move to the Emirates Stadium not work out.

He will link up again with Arsenal boss Unai Emery, who he worked with during a loan spell at Sevilla during the 2014-15 season.

Suarez has signed a new deal with Barca until 2021 with Arsenal paying his wages in full during the loan.

Emery has made no secret of the fact that he wants to sign two players before the transfer window shuts on Thursday with a winger his top priority.

Sky Sport Italia reports Sassuolo star Kevin-Prince Boateng is on the verge of joining Barcelona in a shock move.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Barca have identified Boateng as ‘the right man’ to strengthen their forward line this month.

Consequently, the Catalans would have reached ‘an agreement in principle’ to take the 31-year-old on ‘an expensive loan with an €8m option to buy’.

The former Milan attacker only joined Sassuolo from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer and has gone on to score five goals in 15 appearances.

He already has experience of Spanish football with Las Palmas, where he netted 10 times across 28 games in La Liga.

Barca, for their part, are in the market for attacking reinforcements after losing Paco Alcacer to Borussia Dortmund, while Ousmane Dembele is out for several weeks and Malcom has been linked with a move away.

Who make these kinda deals for Barca? The latest is about Willian coming to Barca while Malcom goes to Chelsea and ofcourse Barca will add money to it. Who does these deals?

As in?
800,000 euros for every 10 games... Like seriously?

Stupid deals if you ask me... Malcom + money for a 30 year old Willian... Abi no be the same Willian we dey see every week for Chelsea?

And if we wan sell too, we no sabi sell. Imagine selling Paco at such a give away price, at a time when he was scoring like water.

I think there are more to these deals than what we see on the pages of newspapers.. The Paulinho deal comes to mind.
