Nairalandmonika:Hybrid cars ARE NOT Electric cars per se, they are a combination of Electric and Petrol Engine. They are actually Petrol Engine cars in the main but they use Electric for cerain functions, like Ignition, holding Power at standstill, etc. Most Hybrids will revert to Petrol function was the Speed is greater than say 30Km/hr and most o fus dont drive that slow, even if we are just going to drop children at school. For now, Electric Cars are just too expensive, to make it an option or alternative to Petrol Engine. The Cheapest Telsa Electric costs over $60,000, when a Petrol car of the same "value" costs less than $30,000! The biggest problem of Electric Car is Power Storage (Batteries), same problem with using Solar Power. Batteries are not yet reliable, have limited Capacity and for now too expensive to produce. |

Nigerian Constitution and Electoral laws doesnot make provision for a Governor not to have a party. Infact, the laws prohibits independent candidacy as ALL elected Officers must operate from a Party. Time to remove Obaseki, for violating electoral laws and constitution of Nigeria. NB: If l were APC, we will ask him to write us formerly that he wants to re-apply to APC, pointing to his ChannaleTV announcement of no longer being a member of the APC. If he doesnot write, he is not a member. If he write, we will delay a response but ask a party member or some neutral person to seek Judicial request that he be removed as Governor, for being "party-less". His option will be to run back to PDP, in other to save his Governorship! But in taking that gamble, he will lose the possibility of a PDP aspirant ticket, by Friday (even if he was riggled-in at any later date, the court will invalidate any Governorship win he makes, going forward). Obaseki may also end-up losing his 'come-back bid" in APC, if an Appeal Court reverses Oshiomole's suspension or even if the party lifts the suspension. Lostz:No, you are wrong! A stay of Execution means "that particular action/decision" that was brought to court or that is being challenged, should be held ON HOLD until final determination. In this case, "Osho was suspended", that is what is being challenged in Court and what the stay of EXECUTION (execution of the suspension decison), to be STAYED. Meaning, he is not suspended until the matter is determined in court. Hence, he is stil the party chairman and whatever decision he takes in the interim, stands. |

Right now, Buhari deliberatley allowing issues that can scatter APC to fester because he reckons it is better for APC to scatter than honor the Power rotation agreement for Presidency to ratate to the South within APC (I suspect PDP will still nominate Atiku in 2023), by destroying hi sown party, afteral he has done his maximum two terms, if the PDP wins, the Presidency still ramains in the North for another 8yrs, making sixteen yrs in a stretch and we know that by that time, the South will be completely dominated and enslaved by the North. This is his strategy. He is allowing APC to destroy itself, for political gains of the North. He just does not want the party to survive after his tenure. People like this Gaidam are just his foot soldiers for destroying APC My worry also concerns the actions of our Judges! Judges are dabbling into issues that should not concern them and are not within their remit. This will destroy the Judicial system and independence. I understand that of a judgement favors a set of people, or party, they would natural side with such judgement, irrespective of whether it is wrong. Judges are now the ones imposing Governors on people, against their wish, expressed by their votes. Judges have even gone low now, to the point of imposing party Chairman? Let us assume their is a conflict, as in the case of Oshiomole and his position was challneged before a Court, all the Judge needs to do is to say "You have been validly removed", Thats all. The Judge erred by going ahead to nominate and impose a particular person on that party, for that post! What then is the role of the NWC and other structures of the party, if it is a Judge that would select impose leaders on parties? IMO, these Judges are setting themselves up for another embarrasment because we all know that such stupid decisons are finacially-induced. 2 Likes |

Back to the dicsussion, l think the problem with our different perspectives on this 'No Consent Sex in marriage', is the use of the Word "FORCE"! Maybe instead of saying the Husband used force (since l also think it is his right to have sex with his wife or her husband), we can say he used "strong persuasion" to have sex with his wife while she objected. Its a slightly different shade.......... something like 'I did not agree to the sex but you still went ahead to have your way with me because you are my husband/wife". Marriage is all about putting the needs of your Spouse first. Before l do anything, l think about my own wife and put her expected views into consideration, not because l am stupid but because l am certain she will do the same for me. If she wants sex and l dont, l would think "How would l feel if l want sex and she refuses me"? Then l inconvinience myself to lets have it because l dont wnt to leave my wife hanging. Its not good for the health of the marriage. That is MARRIAGE for you! You no longer wholly own your own body and that includes when to have marital sex. Though at times, either of us will give in to the refusal of the other spouse but it has to be with a very good convincing, not with bragadocio from the person refusing or threat of a "Rape Claim"! That will be threat and confrontation and nothing breaks a marriage than that. Even in simple things as buying a Cloth to sew, you have to consider each other! If l want to have a "joint wear" with my wife, let's say l want a Babanriga or Agbada and the same material has to be used to sew a gown by my wife, things like color, printed design, texture, etc have to take her choice, into consideration. For example, as a Man, we use strong colours like Navy Blue, Black, Wine color, etc But Women use colours like Pink, Purple, Green, yllow, etc, colours l will never wear! Because we are a Couple and we must wear this cloth together, maybe to a family function, l will consider the interest of my wife and instead of buying what l really prefer, l will settle for colours like Silver, Sky Blue, Ash, etc. Volors 'midway' for me and her. That is how Marriage changes your perspective, if you want both of you to marry and live together for long.[/b] Note thet the gretest problem of Black People, especially in America and Europe, is how to keep the family together and not break it up, producing delinquent generation of children, most of who end up in the white man's jail.
