Nigerians reek of hypocrisy and ignorance including the OP!!! before you make anymore irresponsible and myopic comments, kindly educate yourself with @onegig comment on page 4 (i think).

P.S: I am 100% pro-life, however, i know Trump's signature has absolutely nothing to do with illegalizing abortion in the US. Only the Supreme court can illegalize abortions in the United States, and suffice to say that case would bring the US to its knees if he dares such.

President Trump is only de-funding planned parenthood, which means agencies and organization that support planned parenthood can not seek/ receive any form of grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The USAID is the biggest US, non-governmental financier to international development especially around developing countries like Nigeria.
The world would be a more hetter place if we have people who would read more than just the title of an article and make efforts to understand it. Everyone just picks up their pitchforks and start shouting themselves hoarse as if they know anything about what they are aguing about.

No one supports the killing of a baby but there are a lot of grey areas as regards that topic but nonetheless it's something that should be open to discussion and choice.

The ignorance on this thread is pretty alarming.

You ask questions before just jumping into a talk. If you don't have an idea about something. Fucking keep shut.

He is defunding planned parenthood and other alied charities that are focused on reproductive health services for men, women and children.

If you don't have an idea, that's like defunding USAID and Society for family health. Forget the abortion word. 97% of funds coming for planned parenthood are used in testing people free of charge or at a subsidised amount for STDs, counselling and helping rape victims.

Also they do offer contraceptove materials like condoms, female birth prevention pills and a whole lott more than just having a safe space for people who want abortion.

What this means in essence that millions that need these services are cut off from it. Imagine a teenager who was raped. They are much more comfortable going to planned parenthood because they are well protected and don't need to pay anything to be treated instead of the other way round where they are asked to present their parents id before they can be treated and most times the costs are prohibitive so most just keep shut and never seek help. Also most can't bare such stigma of their families knowing about their ordeals and you just closed the door of them seeking help.

If anything Trump and his minnions here are no different from religious bigots who force their own belief systems on others just because they don't understand the basics of something.

You ralk about the US not accepting Bitcoin, lol.

Do you know you can actually withdraw your bitcoin in some select US and German banks?

Abi.. I have not seen a more disjointed story in a long while.

He is sorting his papers;
However you want him to see your parents.

Except if you are telling him he sees your parents now or you walk out of the relationship. That is the only reason he would say you are not fighting for him.

So basically just stay with him through the process of sorting his papers and support him while he does the needful when his papers are complete. Must you get married during the process?
What happened to giving it a year or more time?

Seriously i don't get the issue here except maybe she's not telling us the whole truth.

That's a big red flag you don't want to ignore. Reeks of lack of self esteem and worth.

More reason all aspects should be discussed and people should be willing to explore and open their minds to all possibilities in marriage.

Aside everything in marriage "access to each other's body" is one of the most important things and if that side is dead then other things would slowly grind to a halt. Find someone who shares same preferences or is ready to explore and learn new things instead of getting married and now trying to force your ways on them. Doesn't work most times.

Prolly you could have joined a cult yourself while in school to survive and get killed in the process. Your mum could have being a road side vendor and crushed in a car accident or anything. Millions of possible assumptions that could have been worse.

You have no right to judge her. All you could have just done was learn to respect the intention behind the act and love her and help her overcome the consequences she's paying now for her actions. And I am suprised you as a doctor is seeing HIV as a doomsday scenario. When there are millions out there living life comfortably with it.

Your message could have been worded much more intelligently that people shouldn't resort to doing wrong just to overcome a challenge. There are many ways out of a market. We might just have to look a bit more painstakingly to see it and not this slander you wrote up there.

I just went through the other thread to see if I commented there but I didn't so what I am about to say is not in self-defence but to point out the fallacy of your post, which takes the responsibility from the husband and insinuates that OP has no mind of her own to distinguish between good and bad advice.

Are you in a way saying that the posters there advising her are responsible for her situation? What the man did is not 'honorable' - as you put it mildly, very mildly, too mildly - but the happily married ladies are to be blamed now? Like seriously? Have you considered that these ladies may be happily married because they don't take nonsense and looked out for men with sense?
Thanks for posting this. I was cringing reading utter hogwash he was writing up there. I don't actually know what's wrong with some people. Someone posts something and you had to go digging into her previous posts to make wrong inferences. Shows how idle he is and the sad state of mind of such people.

I'm not passing blames, honestly. It's just the truth, she's a blogger what do you expect from someone who gains from gossips? I still don't see it has sensible, to compare her to some one in a completely different field, who has different goals than she, and is also successful. Sorry to say, the situation doesn't suit both parties. It's just a means to demean one for the other, which is not right.
I love Quincy to a fault. Can't remember a single issue of his i have not read. Yeah, he is a blogger. Being a blogger isn't a license to lie, ruin people's lives with half truths and sometimes outright lies just to get a few clicks.

For every biz, there should always be room for ethics and morality. Bella Naija is a blogger and she is very much widely read. I don't remember them gathering so much bad mouth like your friend gets. TMZ does same and they are still respectes. Why only her?

She seems like the Gawker of Nigeria and she would definitely go the way of Gawker if Nigeria had any sane laws.

PhonesRe: Here Is Why Apple Removed The 3.5mm Headset Jack From The New Iphone 7 by onegig(m): 10:13pm On Sep 08, 2016
silly response..

They didn't tell you the phone lasts 57hours while playing music continously but the wireless airpods only lasts 5 to 7 hours after full charge.

Also you can never compare the sound production of a wirelessly transmitted music to that of a wired one. The difference is clear and what even happens to the 3.5mm jack on Macs? Can you imagine not being able to use your $160 iphone airpod on a mac? Comical.

Let's assume i want to play music in my car while driving and charging my phone. How do i do that?

Innovations doesn't have to be complex. They are simple solutions. So just to use my normal earpiece i have to be carrying an adapter around?

So what happens if i don't have one? I won't be able to listen to music.

Anyone who loves freedom and is rational enough would understand the iPhone is a useless phone with bunch of restrictions which hinders you from maximising the potentials of a phone and getting value for the device you are buying. But they are lucky, not all consumers are rational in their thinking. No wonder they stil exist.

Are all these thank you Gej crew daft?

Wtf has he done to the railway service except buying about nine extra wagons for them? What is so special about buying something that costs roughly about$30,000 each?

If you guys have never seen a train in your life or have one pass through your backyard. ...then sorry about that

But the railways have been working as far back as i know them and i know they were a constant nuisance all through my high school when they passed through every Wednesday even to the point we were made to pay N10 fine per student as far back as 2003 when a recalcitrant student stoned the cargo for Peugeot Nigeria carrying some exotic cars from Lagos to Kaduna.

So you guys can STFU. The rails are still damn slow and takes an eternity to get to your destination. There are constant breakdowns. No new improvement from what it was 60 years ago. No online booking. No onboard entertainment. For Goodness sake they still use the N1 ticket they have as far back as the 1990s as proof of payment.Just the same old slow jalopy.

If this is what you want to celebrate as an achievement then goodluck to you.

This op sounds very petty.

You were employed and asked to bring your own personal system to work and they never gave you passwords to administrate pages and you had to "steal" it and in your small mind thought recording those conversations is right and a cover for your ineptitude?

From the little i have read. you sound like a big time pessimist. What's with the rubbish of IT equipment getting damaged? and if an equipment gets damaged, did you willifully damage it?

Why in the world would you record someone without their autorization thereby violating their privacy. You all seem like kids in that office of yours. With fellow employees going through phones and whatnot. And what the Bleep does it matter if they write bad things in your file? Are you planning to stay there for life or does that writing determine who goes to heaven or not?

I don't have an advice for you. Just a straightening up, that you need to grow up. Someone employs you to do something and does not give you the necessary tools of your work. You need to stand up and ask the director or whoever is in charge for it and not go behind gossiping and getting illegal passwords all over the place.

You don't even need to go deep to discover the utter bucum called horoscope or whatever they call it.

Yeah...you might want to amuse yourself sometimes by saying someone behaves like you because they were born same day.

The actual question that punches holes in those theories is what happened to kids who are multiple births? twins, triplets and so on who end up having different characters and outlook towards life even though they were born the same hour.

Where overaged people are allowed to compete, no substances or drugs banned and people of extra ordinary strength can compete.

Also no discrimination between male and female sports. All play against each other. Would be fun to see 100meters completed in 5 seconds or football matches ending 100-88. Let's see how far the human race can push their body limits. grin

I would pay to watch that ish

Nothing to worry about. The first kid is always the one with the most expenses.

Trust me, it would be 70% less expensive than your first pregnancy as most items that you had to buy for the first child are still reusable now.

There's no need to abort here. Even considering the medical costs of abortion and the risks involved. An abortion far outweighs the cost of giving birth to the child in the short term alrhough child care costs may outweigh it in future but at least by then you should have gotten your bearings well.

All you guys need to do is work harder and seek alternative biz that brings in money to cushion the effects of having a new baby. Remember you would be hampered by the pregnancy and your husband needs to return to his role of primary provider.

Stay safe and take care.

LiteratureRe: Cyprian Ekwensi Plagiarized Hausa Story "Jiki Magayi" by onegig(m): 7:45am On Jul 16, 2016
CoCoLav:
There is copyright in the translated version of a literary work. Most times the original author may assign that right to another person with an understanding. Nevertheless, even if permission was not obtained, Cyprain will still have copyright in the translated version because it satisfies the originality and fixation requirement albeit he might have infringed the original author's own copyright as well. This is not about plagiarism, he put efforts into translating it and the law recognizes that. It would be plagiarism if he reproduced it in Hausa.

I can decide to translate Shakespeare's works into Yoruba and make money off it and nobody will come after me.
You are very wrong on this.

Plagiarism means you're misrepresenting earlier work as your own, a book or text contains more than mere words; they contain syntaxes, sequence, structures, narratives and much more. The original structure, sequence, characters and such may also be copyrightable, thus a translation would be a derivative work and a copyright infringement.

You must reference all works, yes facts and ideas can't be copyrighted but it would still be plagiarism if you took someone's book, translated it and did not reference earlier works along the lines you toured.

If Cyprian didn't reference it then i guess it was error of understanding the basic rules of copyright and i would be gutted if such an acclaimed writer made such a huge error.

FamilyRe: Choosing The Right Spouse: Luck Or Personal Brilliance by onegig(m): 10:14pm On Jul 09, 2016
There's nothing like being lucky. Luck is hard work, ability to take difficult decisions and opportunity and "prayers" combined.

Basic problem most have is not understanding that marriage is a continual reinventing and adjustment process that you need respect and understanding from both partners for it to succeed. Finding someone who fears God, is able to think logically and understands basic rules of fairness and justice is also a plus.

There's no one rule fit all or criteria that you must begin to search for. Just learn the basic rules of being open and real from the beginning. Don't tolerate what you won't take in the long run and be open to positive change and corrections. No one is perfect but you would be a shitty person to stick to your bad behaviours "all in the name of love me for whom i am". It wont take long before the other person gets royally pissed and starts reacting negatively.
