Check under the advanced tab in the bios. There's hard disk test there. Also you have to hold the f8 key while the system is booting for safe mode to load. |

Wizeboy: The above issue has always bothered me because, I always see many people marrying non-Muslim woman and their main reason is always because the Muslim woman they see around are not so good in character. I always observed this trend too; for example, if I am to choose anyone to marry today (dont know about tomorrow) from the female friends I have (just friend and not Girlfriend as in Lover), I will prefer to choose non-Muslim because, even the so-called very religious woman among my so-called friends always have some form of irritating character from impatience to nagging to some other bad attitude which the non-Muslim don't really have (NOT Generalizing here, that is not to say all Muslim woman are bad) but that is what I always discovered with the people around me, even with the fact that I am somehow tolerance, I still found their behaviour very irritating.Bro. Expand your scope and area of exploration. I used to think same back then but seriously there are lots of calm, religious , very beautiful sisters with awesome characters out there. Just widen your scope . Don't limit yourself. May HE make it easy. |
kemiola89: I can relate to this. I actually had someone i was hoping to spend my life with. He was like my dream man. We complement each other in such a way that makes it seem like it wasnt just a coincidence having cross path with him.Must have been tough. May Allah provide another person. I have been taught to believe in "Miracles". Someone better would surely suffice soon. Ma sha Allah. |
baba11: Yea,you are right. There's hardly a way that matured lady and guy will be very close to each other that love will not develop. It baffles me when people place two much emphasize on love. What about if there's love and she has a whole lot of bad qualities you cannot cope with??What would you do??Do your istikhira. If God says she would change, fine and okay but if not You let her go. There's a reason why the Almighty as destined it as such. But if you truly love someone you would definitely do wanna help that person be a better person. I see no bad qualities that can't be dropped if Allah wills and you are ready to help that person change. |
baba11: I think foundation goes a long way in determine the attitude of the wife, not beauty. There are some scenerio whereby a wife might have a particular mindset but if her husband is the reversed of what she believes in and he's sincere with her, there's a high tendency that the wife will change for better!!!Yes , People change I agree. The truth is that when people(i.e each individual in a relationship) take the success of their marriage as their personal responsibilities i guess they would want to improve on personal inadequacies to help make their relationship a success but when people believe otherwise what you get is all these marriages of convenience. No love, no communication. Just two partners who are strangers of each other. You could sense the distance between them from miles. That's when you realise Love alone is not enough. |
Actually getting into the story proper now. At least from now on there wont be switching of countries. Enjoy a tip. I hope i would be able to format and finish typing before morning. CHRIS New York City, USA. Chris had booked online the Virgin Airways flight AJ157 which was destined for Lagos, Nigeria from New York and was scheduled to take off by 19:15 hrs local time. In the past few days before his travel down he was anxious and didn't know what exactly to look out for. Chris wondered about what he would meet up there and how he was going to fair all alone in a continent and terrain that was unknown to him. He waffled through his wardrobe seeking clothes he could actually select for his trip. In the last few years he had slightly changed his wardrobe. Chris was too concerned with other aspects of his life that he never even gave a thought about what his wardrobe looked like. After long hours of shuffling and combing his wardrobe he decided to pick just enough clothes that would last him for a few days in Nigeria at first and planned on going shopping and getting what might fit the weather when he got there. He had read much about it’s hot climatic condition but notwithstanding he never took chances as he picked one of his winter smurfs just in case the weather is not as predicted and temperatures dropped very low. The d-day had arrived and he had sauntered into New York. The taxi ride was smooth and he closed his eyes and took a last breath of the America air. Barely few hours after he had passed through all security checks the voice of the flight announcer rent the air as she announced the commencement of loading and boarding for the flight heading to Nigeria and pleaded that all passengers proceed to gate 9 where they would be led to the waiting plane. Chris joined the long queue of people filling in to get through to and after five minutes he made into the waiting Boeing 747 plane. Entering the plane Chris gazed at the long line of sits which were been filled by people in front of him. The gaseous smell of remnants of pressurized air was a welcome departure from the smell of putrid air he felt all around him while at the airport terminal. He held on as a fat woman in a Senegalese Abaya blocked the narrow passageway with her body as she helped her kid into one of the sits. "Sorry ,please" The woman muted overhead in an accented English. Chris hummed a "No problem before he made his way to the back of the plane passing rows of empty seat and finally reached the last two rows before dropping his bag in one of the sits and pushing his hand carriage in the over head compartment. He settled into the sit and looked out of the window. He could feel his stomach churning and his hands was feeling moist. He spread his hands and looked at the moisture before rubbing his hands against his pant. He reached into the pockets of his and brought out a small plastic drug container with the label Valium on it. He opened it and swallowed two tablets. He placed the container back into his pocket and placed his head in the palms of his two hands. Chris gave a deep breadth, attached and locked his seat belt before adjust comfortably in his seat resting his head on the place holder of the sit and soon closed his eyes and silently he muted out to himself." I hate flying" He silently made a prayer that he survived the eleven hours flight as the effects of the drugs took over him and he slowly dozed off. Chris woke up to the pilot’s announcement that they were in the Nigeria sky and would be descending into the Lagos atmosphere in less than thirty minutes. Chris look out of the airplane’s window and all he could was the Atlantic Ocean spread out but in the distance he could the landscape of a city emerging . He sighed and fastened his seat belt for the descent. ------------------------------- More to follow Soon. Thanks |
I would want more discussion on that bowing . Mac i understand leaving what is doubtful but there's another injunction that says seek knowledge. I know tbaba had thrashed the issue in the past but i must say i wasn't thoroughly satisfied. This isn't an issue of taking to corrections but one of better understanding. Yes many hadiths say bowing is haram but what about the case of Yusuf asw. Because for me most of the references is because some were imitating the pagans back then. More discussion is needed Abeg. I would be reading. |
OMA4U: Christa, there is a story on facebook with this same title. The writer is Stephen C. Osaji. I want to confirm if it was you who authorised it.All these plagiarism dey scare me. One reason am not too keen continuing the book. Not easy to write and someone comes and copy without proper authorisation. |
I did forget this thread. Just plain lazy and combined with limited time for writing. Am sorry guys. |

Ok. You guys should tap F8 when the system is booting up. If it loads and displays the safe mode options . Select safe mode and enter to window. Restart and you are fine. If it however doesn't work. Do an hard disk by entering the bios. I.e pressing f2 or del or f10 depending on your model. |
ifyalways: Update -Thanks for the update. |
Good analysis from both ends. But i guess human morality can best be seen and understood when the prism of religion or its concept is not in the view. I believe in Religion am just alarmed by the way we are always shifting the poles when it comes morality. Except for some religion which promotes rigidity and firm beliefs others have been messed up by the concept of individuality. |
Thanks for your prompt reply bro. Sire, I saw 'Sounds, System and Game controllers'' And there's no yellow question mark or asterick. And the sound isn't muted too.
Hello... Press the windows key and the r key simultaneously. Next type dxdiag and press enter. Go to the sound tab and carry out the microsoft sound tests. And are you sure the speakers are well connected if it has an external speaker. Also confirm if its a laptop or a pc(desktop system) because most peeps interchange the two wrongly. |
I know the problems in the Nigerian educational sector are enormous and mind boggling. But maybe you tell your friend to up her ante. You can't be advertising for a position which requires experience but you keep offering ridiculous pay and expect to get people with experience to come apply. Nah. It doesn't happen. Highest you get is the current crop you get. If you are on a budget, hire someone with the basic qualifications and train them. Most Nigerians are very intelligent people. All they need is just the nudge and they would excel. |
maclatunji: A lady: A well-mannered and considerateFair ? Yes. Lots of females out there with the lady like qualities you reported. you just need to reach out and take yours.. |
I think most of the English peeps are now seeing beyond the England team. Seriously they are bunch of overrated kids. Next person go dey tell me say cleverly is worth 20 million pounds. Here's a comment from bbc Two matches against better opposition highlight stark reality; too many athletes with little ability, all one-footed, the manager relying on senior players clearly past their best, the upcoming ones clearly not all that. |
