I doubt its the mother board bro. There are a lot of possibilities. One the batteries you are buying might be sub standard ones . Also check your charger. It is susceptible. I won't put what you use in charging your systems out of this. Generators come to mind. Is the output on the gen the required voltage. Is it constant or the Flunctuating type? Generators are known to cause such problems in phone batteries. They use same technologies. Lithium ion so it won't be out of place to look at that also. Check this and see if you see any changes.

PoliticsHow Governors Rig Elections by onegig(op): 1:29pm On Nov 19, 2013
Got this from a friend's fb's page. Very apt.

State of the Nation review.
Status: Old News
Venue: Transcorp Hillton Hotel
Speaker: Donald Duke (a former
Governor)
Year: 2010
Subject: The art and tricks of
Electoral rigging in Nigeria and
suggested ways forward.
Citizens' immediate Action: shock,
laughter, enjoyed the lecture and
made it viral on social media. Rain
of curse and condemnation on
PDP.
Citizens Solutions: curses,
protests and call for revolution,
birth of more emergency
activism on social media
Results: Nothing changed. History
repeated itself in 2011 and also in
2013.
Citizens' 2013 reaction: curse
PDP, call for Jega's sack.
Citizens' dream: a mass
revolution that will wipe out the
election riggers and usher in a
saint president who will be voted
in a free and fair election
organise by nobody in particular
(?) While they sleep in their
houses and voting along ethno-
religious sentiments if they ever
go out!
Government Action: creates a
National Dialogue where citizens
can talk more and more and earn
some sitting allowance even
though the talk will still be subject
to revision and alteration by the
political class and, probably
thrown away if it is too
revolutionary.
My comment: no comment! The
handwriting is boldly our thumbs
(whether it was marked or
unmarked) and our legs (as they
carried us all to polling booths on
election days)
Excerpt from the lecture:
"The truth is, the chairman of the
Independent National Electoral
Commission has little or no
bearing on the success of
elections, that’s the truth. To
me, it’s actually immaterial
because he is head of the
administration he takes the
brunt. The best he can do is
perhaps, draw up a blueprint but
the implementation of that
blueprint is outside his control.
So, if elections are rigged in say -
Taraba State- we don’t do that
stuff in Cross Rivers State
(laughter),"
"The people think that at the end
of the elections, the PDP would
just decide who wins and who
doesn’t and announces the
results. I think the process is a
bit more sophisticated than
that."
"Let me take our minds back to
Somalia. Somalia is mono-
religious, mono-ethnic; they only
have clans (but) they have one
tribe. What has happened there?
It’s a failed state because the
elite in Somalia were so
disconnected from the people .....
"
"When we conducted the census
in 2006 or so, the raw figures
said we were over two hundred
million; when they went and
processed the figures it came
down to 140million.
When you look at those figures
and compare to those we had in
1991 at a growth rate of 2.1 or
something like that, it is really
just an extrapolation, because we
were too embarrassed to admit
our true numbers."
"There is not a polling booth that
is more than five hundred. So only
two hundred people appear here,
three hundred there, one
hundred there, fifty there, four
hundred there, at the end of
election what happens. The
Presiding Officer sits down and
calls a few guys and says, ‘hey,
there are a few hundred papers
here, let’s thumbprint. This is the
real election. Well, this is not a
PDP thing. I am not here to
castigate the PDP; it’s a Nigerian
thing. This process may sound
comical and jovial, it happens
throughout the country, whether
its Action Congress or APGA it’s
the same thing. We are all the
same. They start thumb-printing,
some are overzealous. So at the
end of the day you find some
voting more than the number of
people that were registered to
vote."
"So, as long as we keep applying
that same method, you will get
the same results. Its crazy to
think that because you
substitute Iwu for Jega all will
change. In other words, Iwu is a
crook, Jega is a saint. Jega is
great, he has an impeccable
reputation. Iwu was great, now he
seems not so great. Ok, they are
both professors, they have
reached the peak of whatever
discipline that they profess. The
point is that it is the system and
the personnel and the chairman
has little or no control over that."
"We need a critical mass of
Nigerians to get out and vote. It is
important because the more
ballot papers that are
legitimately used on election day,
the fewer available to be used to
rig the vote, that’s the truth.
Don’t keep to yourself and think
that they will announce results.
They are more sophisticated
than that. And that’s why the
aspirants who felt cheated and
had the resources to employ
forensic personnel, like those
elections had the elections
upturned in Edo and Ondo,
because they could establish
multiple voting by thumbprint.

Chillisauce: New friends and environment won't disturb the child. Since its still a Nigerian environment and kids can mingle easily, adapt, I see no challenge here.

As per transfer, I doubt they transfer every yr.
Try to be objective. I changed school twice in my primary days and i just never fitted in . I was never interested and just wanted everyday in school to end. Not saying same might happen to her but you can't just wish such away.

I know many bankers in my bank's home branch who have been transfered in the last one year. Am used to seeing new faces every six months now.
FamilyRe: Married To A Banker; Hell On Earth! by onegig(m): 12:40pm On Nov 19, 2013
People advocating for a change of location should understand most of these bank rotate and transfer their workers around quite a lot. What happens if they get a home closer to her workplace now and next month she's transfered of the Island? What happens? They move again? Also consider the psychological effects of changing schools for the kid. Means new friends, new environment. Can be mentally disturbing for such a young girl.
Science/TechnologyMeet The 23-year-old Kid Who Turned Down $3 Billion For Snapchat by onegig(op): 11:42am On Nov 19, 2013
Meet the 23-Year-Old Kid Who
Turned Down $3 Billion for
Snapchat
Two years ago, Evan Spiegel was
just another beer-soaked frat
boy obsessing over sex and
dot.com riches. This week, the
23-year-old co-founder of
Snapchat was offered big -- big --
money for the tiny smartphone
app company he created.
Instead of dancing into the
sunset, Spiegel did the
unthinkable, turning down a $3
billion offer from Facebook (FB)
and then a $4 billion bid from
Google (GOOG). A college dropout
running a company with almost
no assets, no revenue and a
mountain of legal problems,
Spiegel is betting Snapchat can
transcend the stigma of the
"next big thing" and become an
industry unto its own.
There's no going back now.
History will paint Evan Spiegel as
either one of the most brilliant
entrepreneurs ever, or a
delusional fool.
With him there is no in between.
The irony of the weird tale
unfolding around this boyishly
handsome child of privilege is
that Snapchat is based on the
idea of not leaving any history at
all. Dreamed up as a way to send
so-called "sext" messages that
self destruct before falling into
the wrong hands, Snapchat
doesn't actually posses the
things that made Facebook and
Google huge. Snapchat knows
nothing about its users. Each of
the millions of Snaps that will be
sent this month will be erased
from a third-party server within
seconds of being received.
What Snapchat has is explosive
growth with the teenagers that
are already sick of Facebook.
Snapchat is sexy and subversive.
It's cool. It's everything Facebook
isn't. That may be precisely why
Spiegel thinks Facebook CEO Mark
Zuckerberg, Google, or maybe
even Twitter, will be coming back
with even bigger offers soon.
How it started
After leaving school, Spiegel
moved in with his father and used
some of the $70 million the
company has garnered in venture
funding to continue to build out
the app. In a recent interview with
the Associated Press, Spiegel
recounted how his controversial
company came to be:
"A buddy of mine was bummed
about a photo he (regretted
sending). And so we started
looking at some of the other
applications in the space that
were doing disappearing texts,
photo, video. And they really had a
hard time because there was a
lot of stigma around deleting
things. But when Bobby (Bobby
Murphy, Snapchat chief
technology officer and co-
founder) and I built the prototype
and started using it, we realized
how much fun we were having
sending the photos back and
forth. And based on our
experience with the application
we were able to do a good job
describing how ephemeral
content can make an experience
that is really fun, exciting and
way more engaging."
According to his bio on Snapchat's
website, Spiegel dipped his toes
into software development while
in high school "developing
simulators and video game
emulators" before moving on to
more complex websites he would
build for friends and family. The
young tech hot shot now serves
on President Obama's Council on
Technology and Media and
apparently has finished up his
degree at Stanford.
Tech gossip site Valleywag and
others describe Spiegel as a
spoiled frat boy who stumbled
into a fortune while
brainstorming ways to send less-
incriminating sext messages with
his fraternity buddies. According
to this less-charitable version of
events Spiegel and credited co-
founder Bobby Murphy adapted
much of what is now Snapchat
from an earlier company called
"Picaboo" that was created by
Reggie Brown.
Brown, a former Kappa Sigma
fraternity brother of Murphy and
Spiegel, has filed suit against the
company in Los Angeles Superior
Court. It became an even higher
stakes lawsuit Wednesday
evening when it was reported
that Snapchat had turned down a
$3 billion cash offer from
Facebook. By Thursday
afternoon, the founder of
GigaOm, Om Malik, reported via
Twitter (TWTR) that Spiegel had
subsequently rejected nearly $4
billion from Google.
New visionary
According to Snapchat's website,
the company's infrastructure
and unopened Snaps are stored
on Google's cloud computing
service, App Engine, until they are
viewed and then deleted.
Snapchat claims more than 350
million Snaps were sent in
September, but the company has
no reliable information on users.
Right now, Snapchat's most
tangible assets are a cute icon, a
great app and lawsuits.
Hyper-growth or not, who is Evan
Spiegel to turn down a $4 billion
offer for his little app company?
As Yahoo Interactive Editor Phil
Pearlman sees it, Spiegel is the
latest, no-holds barred visionary
tech titan in the making. "He's a
smart guy, a super young guy,
and my impression is that he's in
it to win it," offers Pearlman in
the attached video.
As for the aforementioned
lawsuit, Pearlman notes that "the
parallel to the Facebook story is
really interesting from a
Machiavellian perspective. You
need that kind of a cutthroat or
warrior mentality to make it."
If Spiegel getting sued by Brown
calls to mind Zuckerberg fighting
off the Winklevoss twins' claims
to have invented Facebook,
Snapchat's other legal woes give
off a whiff of a much creepier
entrepreneur named Joe Francis,
former king of the Girls Gone Wild
empire. Much like Girls Gone Wild,
Snapchat has been dogged from
the start by claims of trafficking
in illicit visuals. Francis built a
huge business selling videos and
DVDs of women flashing the
camera and engaging in other
lewd behaviors. In return for their
consent, Francis would pay the
women as little as a hat or T-
shirt.
Ultimately, a series of
increasingly weird lawsuits
destroyed the business, which
filed for bankruptcy earlier this
year. Whether he proves to be
another Zuckerberg, Francis, or
something entirely different,
Evan Spiegel couldn't seem less
concerned. The rabid appeal of
Snapchat to the highly coveted
teen audience makes it likely that
Facebook, Google or perhaps
Twitter will come around with
even larger bids for the company.
Better still, high-profile venture
backer Benchmark Capital gives
Snapchat a veneer of
respectability and legal cover of
which Francis could only have
dreamed.
Spiegel is straight out of central
casting. A 23-year-old soon-to-be
billionaire from Southern
California who already has enough
money and self-assurance to
wait as long as it takes for
someone to make him an 11-digit
offer for his sexting app. It's a
Millennial version of the American
dream.
Or at least that's one version of
it. Pearlman sees substance
under the sizzle. "The media is
going to frame things so that
they're as sellable as possible," he
concludes.
However brilliant he is, or is not,
Spiegel has the world convinced
Snapchat is a better social
network mousetrap. The only
question seems to be exactly
how much gold gets laid at his
door.

I know its a security device. Two security i understand. But the way they kept harping on the purchase as if it was a one time payment to cover the cost of subsequent transfer transactions. Anyway am more concerned about the speed.

Interbank transfer from Gtb internet banking platform on regular accounts to other banks is not real time and immediate and on top that they deduct cot on each transaction after you have paid 3k for token while UBA does the transfer instantly with same charges as Gtb without the purchase of any token. So tell me does that make Gtb better?

thorpido: ^You have it wrong with your notion that i'm trying twin argument the so called Nigerian way.I wrote that because she said it was a beer parlour gist and i wanted her to know i'm a qualified medical professional.

I have read this in medical journals but they are in hard copies so i didn't include any link here. However thank God for the internet and with a little research one can lay hands on a couple.

I never said the things i wrote were my researches but they are based on what i read of other people's researches.I am not Hippocrates.
If you say they are theories, you are right but they are theories based on repeated researches done by people at different times using different samples.Medicine is ever evolving so things stated today can be changed tomorrow. That's a fact.
If you understand medical research, not everything is stated as a fact but based on researches done at different times, there may be a recurrence of something or people having similar results, and as such it is put together as a finding. There are still some things in medicine that don't have explanations!
Am sorry if i sounded like that.. I was just trying to douse the tension and get you guys to discuss the main issues. That was just naughty me.

We all do agree there's no empirical data to back up your claims so it would be safe not to pass it as fact even in the absence of a conclusive research on the topic. Half truth is no truth. The net is a small world and you might see people quoting you soon enough that yes their wives ph levels is one reason they have been giving birth to a certain gender. The abuse some women face even in the face of hard evidence that its the man that determines the gender of the baby is still shocking not to talk of arming them with a "theory " that the wives actually do determine it. You know it could have far reaching implications. Na go our society dey hear. Dey no dey hear come.

FamilyRe: 6 In Their Family, No Male. Will I Be Able To Have Male Children With Her? by onegig(m): 12:59pm On Nov 18, 2013
On a lighter note.

Thorpido brings up an assertion and others reacted and said it was wrong. Thorpido feeling he was not getting his message across tried the ever working Nigerian way of winning an arguement. I am older than you and you should respect my experience. Anything an elder tells you is always correct.

Deols not given to this kind of upbringing goes "ballistic" about this. Can you give us facts or just pocket your years of experience ? Sounded a tard "high" to some but i guess she is a bit "too" passionate about areas she considers her fields especially when someone "claims" what is not.

Forgive me. That was just naughty me .

Can we just break this up already?
Thorpido i do understand what you are saying perfectly but seriously the onus is on you to prove beyond doubt with facts that actually a child's gender can be influenced by ph levels and the diet of a mother. I understand your points but seriously they are still just theories. Like you know there are many theories we have that states something today only to be over ruled later. Until they are proved as facts you can't pass them as the gospel truth. I have read up on those ph things you posted and might experiment with them maybe when i get married. Can't wait to have 8 sons. Winks.
IslamRe: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by onegig(m): 7:19pm On Nov 17, 2013
maclatunji: I think women get a lot more attention because they are vital to the success of a family being partners and supporters to husbands as well as teachers and care-givers to children.

A man can live as a bachelor without many problems but a woman makes a family tick.

It is not easy but someone has to do it. cheesy

I thank you for your consideration and empathy for women but people like you should allow people like me ask them tough questions without feeling the need to intervene. grin

The perceived "weakness" of women is often exaggerated.
lol at me intervening. No problem. I would allow you roast them alive with your serious questions. lol.but i guess you know that there are very competent ladies on here that would happily tackle your points one after the other without my so called empathy.

Just a remainder.
A man living without problems as a bachelor is exagerated in my opinion. I do agree with your assertions on the role of a woman in the family. Their importance cannot be overemphasized but hinging their usefulness on their ability of being the 'ideal woman' is one kain. Make i stop here abeg.
IslamRe: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by onegig(m): 4:09pm On Nov 17, 2013
To answer your question. I see no reason why a lady shouldn't be able to do the above. Common sense requires
you to be able to do little things like house cleanings and stuff even if it is for yourself. We are in a mobile society where ladies even before getting married find themselves independent of their parents due to various reasons and you wonder how she would take care of her laundry, cook food she would eat, care for her immediate environment in such scenarios.

I guess its irresponsible for anyone to possibly say they can't look after themselves.
IslamRe: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by onegig(m): 4:01pm On Nov 17, 2013
maclatunji: ^Thank you for the condolence and ameen to the prayer.

The problem with your post is that it deflects attention from my very serious question and creates the "you too" excuse for not answering it.

That kind of question is important for both sides but I would have appreciated it if you allowed my question to be answered first especially by the ladies before posting yours. It will help us to deepen our understanding of how each gender sees their position in terms of rights-privileges vs. duties-responsibilities.

It might seem like a joke or sarcasm but it has a very a high degree of relevance to the success/failure of a relationship within marriage.

Thank you.
Am sorry if that post seemed to be hasty in your own thinking but i get this feeling that it always about the ladies. I have seen this version of joke somewhere else in the last few months and i guess it isn't knew to me anymore so i had to get straight to the point and ask the other question which is why guys complain that ladies don't love them and always want "made men".

Also, We have exhaustively discussed the role of women in the past here with most men saying women who couldn't do house chores ain't fit as ladies and the ladies rebutting the fact that house chores ain't their default functions in the house. But anyways new dimensions to a discourse are always welcomed.
IslamRe: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by onegig(m): 2:59pm On Nov 17, 2013
maclatunji: ^Nah! Don't come with that politically correct line/agenda that is getting us nowhere. I made that post from the prism of the virtually universal expectation that the woman is a homemaker/keeper.

So as Omobaba has asked if at 25, a lady cannot do all of those things listed, on what basis/qualities exactly does she expect to be loved especially with a view to marriage?

It is a honest question not sarcasm.

There is no "fixing" the question away from the prism from which I am looking at it.
First. Ina Lilahi wa ina Ilehi rojihun. Saw the thread. Am sorry about the loss. May Allah grant you and your family fortitude to bear the irrepearable loss. Amin.

Wasn't trying to sound politically correct. Just an observation. Mine is also aimed at a man getting married. I am looking at it from the prism that a guy should be the default protector and provider for his family. So you see i was just giving a different perspective.
IslamRe: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by onegig(m): 1:59pm On Nov 17, 2013
At the age 25,you don't have a steady form of income,
Can't make decisions on your own, you still drag and fight over the remote with your younger siblings, you can't dress decently, you depend on Mumsy to buy you common boxers and you can't think about your future except to think and write permutations on when next arsenal would win the league and you keep a bunch of friends who shout and make noise around town like teenage scally wags and you want ladies

Abi o. Can you imagine people just touting self held beliefs and theories and they want us to shook it down our lungs as the gospel truth..

And to think all these copy and paste are just theories and not facts. Go back and study the basics of science to understand the rudimentary level before a theory becomes fact or law.

Even most sources of this ph levels doubt the effectiveness of their methods. Here's a quote from one of the top sources.
