FamilyRe: Is Michelle Obama Truly A Jealous Woman ? by onegig(m): 1:48pm On Dec 11, 2013
martronilla: I dont think she is Jealous but the look on her face shows she is angry... As for me, I think she is disappointed in her husband's behaviour... he is d president of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and he is easily distracted by chit-chats... For God's sakes, they are at a funeral.... Nelson Mandela's burial ceremony and he is chatting wif a blonde woman like it's no body's business.... but it seems Obama is a very friendly and easy-to-mingle-with kindda man while Michelle has a natural frowning face...
Funny pic tho.... hehehe

Continuation from the top...
-----------------------------

They had carried out extensive research on the site before commencing excavations and she was sure the coordinates given to her

were correct but she had some misgivings and felt some of the information was not adding up. This made her quite uneasy and she

was already feeling burnt out from the excavations already. It was at these frustrating times that she would have loved the

presence of her late. She missed his fatherly figure and his calm demeanor in such situations. Dr. Adetoro knew exactly how and

when to fix things an d always had counter measures or solutions when things were going wrong. She thought about the personal

collections and stacks of books she had collected from the late Director's office which was piling dust in her office untouched.

She had been shocked about the death of the Director and while clearing out his office she had instructed the cleaners to collect

the books and store them in her office although she never though of what she would have used it for. She had once thought of

sending it back to his family but she had never had time to peruse the books and files to prevent official files getting into the

wrong hands. Sayo decided she would check through them when she gets to her office. The sound of a car that had just come to an

abrupt halt with tires screeching just outside the building brought her back from her trance. Sayo glanced back at the car which

was now been circled by some passersby trying to force open the bonnet as thick balls of smoke emanated from the front of the car

before heading into the Culture Building.

CHRIS
Lagos, Nigeria
16:00 hrs

Chris woke up in his hotel room feeling weak and numbe. The toll of the journey was just registering on his body and he was

feeling like his body had been hit continously with a baseball bat. He left the bed and manged to sit at the edge of a one sitter

sette that backed the door of the room. He tried stretching his legs and could hear he sounds of flexing of muscles as he wirthed

in mild pain. He gathered the p and his stomach turned. THe stress of the journey had just taken a toll on his body. HE stood up

and reached for his luggage and retrieved a smal white drug container; he picked two tablets out and threw them in his and

continued chewing them. He replaced the container and walked to the corner where the hotel phone lay. He picked the recieve and

punched in the short code for the restuarant he found in a laminated A4 paper near the phone. He decided he needed some warm food

to calm his nerves as He was feeling famished and worn out. He looked at his wrst watch and them time was 15:29hrs which indicated

it was fours hours since he arrived Nigeria. Few minutes later the door bell rang and a lady dressed in white shirts and black

skirt entered the room carrying a tray with items covered witha napkin. She set the tray on the table and excused herself while

Chris s as she headed for the door and Chris set out to eat the sumptous Nigerian local dish starish back at him.

SAYO.
She had spent the last hour going through the books from her boss collection. Leaflets and books of different sizes lay on her

spawling office table. The room was righter as she had adjusted the blinds to give more room for the sunlight. Sayo held what

seemed like a diary and flipped through like three pages which contained writings which looked like figures and some languages she

guessed was yourba but had no meaning to her at first reading. After few minutes she stirred in her seat and dropped the red cover

book she was holding . She craned her neck right and left before standing up. She set the diary aside on the table and gathered

the other books and leaflet carrying them to the other side of the room where a large brown carton lay.

Sayo walked back to her desk where she picked up the red hard cover diary and placed it in her open hand bag. She decided she

would take it home and go through the diary later in the evening. She looked up at the clock on the wall which was now at 16:05 before she started gathering her personal belongings; She reached for the windows and shut them and headed for the door.

Just a teaser.

SAYO
Osogbo, South West, Nigeria.

13:30 hrs

The sun was overhead now and the traffic around town was thin. A lady emerged from the small coffee shop tucking some wads of sheet into her hand bag as she made her way towards the entrance of the Culture house. She was wearing a white silk shirt with a navy blue pant pants and white heels which matched perfectly. The lady flipped on her phone and started pressing some digits. Sayo scrolled through her phone book and dialed a number. She glanced away and looked up at the imposing culture building she was heading into. Work had been hectic this week and they were almost half through the excavation at the site. She had been pushing the excavation team to work harder and wrap up on the work. She was feeling frustrated already at the slow pace of work and this was aggravated by the lack of any tangible findings at this stage of the excavation. The prospect of finding something tangible was bleak.

Your second, third points are all subjective and based on personal opinions.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Christianity Will Always Be Better Than Islam- FROM AN ATHEIST! by onegig(m): 4:28pm On Dec 06, 2013
Islam forbids
interest which is very important
to modern day banking and the
stock markets. Theocracy and
the prohibition of interest are
products of the shallow thinking
of the ancient man that
mainstream christianity has
moved away from but
mainstream islam is still
adherent to.
the same interest based banking that has led two great depression and almost the destruction of world economy? Same interest based banking that exploits the poor and make slaves and destitutes out of a society?

The same interest based banking that cripples the real economy which is the people and leave wealth in the hands of few ? I guess you were not born in 2008 and is not aware of the current problems in Countries like Greece, Spain, Portugal and even the Us?

One thing you guys don't really understand about non interest banking is that its very unique and pro masses. Let me ask you. Which one would you take?

A banking system that gives you a loan to operate a biz but won't charge interest on it but have a pre agreed profit sharing ratio if you make it or loss sharing between the bank and you if you make losses? A bank that recognises money as a means of exchange only and that it has no value except what you invest it in and derive from it. A bank that is after your success and knows its only when you make profit that they are also profitable.

Or a bank that gives you a loan and even if you make losses would still collect their interest accured over time and their money back?

Logically Which is cruel and which is good for developing a society?

Islamic banking is just one just one of the numerous arms of islamic finance. Islam recognises money as valueless. Which is true. Ask your greatest economists. Money has no value, it is what you invest it in that has value.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Christianity Will Always Be Better Than Islam- FROM AN ATHEIST! by onegig(m):
Let me humour you Illogical boy and school you. cool

Logicboy03: Before, I became an atheist, I was a christian. Also, when I left christianity, I studied Islam as a religion to see if it was a better choice for me. Here are my reasons why I would rather go back to Christianity than be a Muslim (although both choices are not palatable to me).;
None of my biz. It's a free world . No compulsion in religion. You can " go and die" grin

Logicboy03: 1) Christianity fits into any culture or age of civilization due to its reformation while islam hasnt been reformed

Mainstream islam, on the other hand, has not been reformed and is having a worse struggle with many modern day issues as compared to christianity . The case here is that the bible can be shaved down to only the teachings of Jesus for many christians, which gives them an escape route from the harsher old testament and some tough laws- such does not exist in mainstream Islam as the Quran is the complete word of God and can not be edited. The only update on the Quran is on the "war verses"(eg Quran 2:191-193) , which many muslim scholars state that were only for a specific time when muslims and the Prophet were under attack. Islam is struggling with modern issues like secularism and capitalism. Sharia law can not accept islam on an equal status with other religions as it prescribes islamic laws for a whole society. Islam forbids interest which is very important to modern day banking and the stock markets. Theocracy and the prohibition of interest are products of the shallow thinking of the ancient man that mainstream christianity has moved away from but mainstream islam is still adherent to. However, Turkey is an exception to this as a muslim majority country that is somewhat secular- it isnt practicisng sharia law.
I thought you should be more advanced than the lame excuses you have given up here.

There's no universal rules on morals. That's the first basic thing Islam understood. What you think is moral to you might be amoral to me. Culture does not mix with religion.

Culture is subject to change but religion and its rules don't change. Do you know why some religions are having a running battle presently with different doctrines and ideas? No single comprehensive rule guiding the ways of life of an individual in those religions. That's why you can have a gay evangelists, gay bishop and so on. crazy things all because the religion wants to conform to popular culture. You hear Disagreements over trivial issues like whether wearing trousers is a sin or not.

If in the next 200 years these cultures change and the society embraces it.
What happens then? A little tip for you. Weed is being legalised in some cultures now. Do we also follow them and close our eyes because we want our religion to conform to societal standards? Do we start taking weed because our culture permits it?

Which is supreme? God's rule or your personal or societal rules?

You see why the Prophet was said to be a master leader and futuristic person and this was not even because of his brains but because of what God instructed him to do.

On the war verses
.. It's no news that the prophet(Saw) was exiled from his city of birth and they were persecuted. In other to protect the new community they had to wage wars and protect their territory and even these wars were guided by strict rules of engagement. They only defended themselves in all cases and strict rules of not attacking trees, women , children, non combatants and the aged applied.

Islam is a way of life on its own. it is robust, self sufficient and flexible on its own . So why add other cultures to it?
Christianity EtcRe: Why Christianity Will Always Be Better Than Islam- FROM AN ATHEIST! by onegig(m): 9:27am On Dec 06, 2013
Logicboy03: $1,000,000 if you can come up with something better.

Please, address the topic- isnt christianity better on these issues??
I don't compare religions. Those are for kids but if you want an exposé on the ideals of islam then i would give you in torrents.

Also, you would do well to keep your money where your mouth is. I would advice you give your million dollar to a charity nearby thats even if you can afford 10 ^9 of it.

FamilyRe: And What's So Special About The Male Child? by onegig(m): 8:30am On Dec 06, 2013
Another point of view. If you are muslim , you shouldn't be concerned about who your heir is.

The heirs mentioned
in the Qur'an are the mother,
father, husband, wife,
daughter, uterine brother, full
sister, uterine sister, and
consanguine sister. Courtesy-wiki

I guess this is more than enough to continue the lineage for those concerned about their future after death.
